Great jungle gyms, slides and layout is great to keep an eye on the little ones. Right outside the gated playground are workout equipment where the older ones and Dads (when they tag along) can work on their muscles. Wish they had a running water basic park bathroom, that would be super nice. There's a potty in the back corner of the side gate entrance -- for super emergency situation. read more

As others have said, this is a nice, quiet park that's a bit of a reprieve from the busy city. Parking is fairly easy along the street, with a neighborhood across the park-- It can get congested on that road, though, since it's a pretty cramped space. We brought our dog here for a afternoon stroll, and he had a lot of fun! It's clean and well maintained, if a little small. There's no restroom except for a port a potty, so keep that in mind. No waste bags for dogs either, so make sure to bring your own. read more

Robert L. Burns Park is the closest park to my house. It's been our regular destination point when we walk our dogs and, more recently, our toddler. The park is pleasant, with a friendly neighborhood vibe, if not quite as nice as the parks we drive to, which just have a bit more space and play equipment. Our kid loves this park, though, especially the baby swings and the twisting slide, which he sometimes fears and sometimes adores. The playground area has benches for parents and a very visible fence with a sign warning off adults unattended by children (it's an anti-pedo enclosure). We often see birthday parties at Robert L. Burns, and lots and lots of families. It may not have the draw of a regional park, but it's a great resource if you're in the neighborhood. read more

When we go to Langer's Deli, we do a quick curbside pick-up and then get the heck outta there cuz it's in a horrible part of L.A. We eat our lunch on some tree-lined street in a nicer part of town, and we usually end up somewhere in Hancock Park. Today was our annual trek to Langer's, and I decided to find us a park to eat in or near. We found a sweet little park on the outskirts of Hancock Park, called the Robert L. Burns Park. It was very quiet, relatively unattended, but I could see it catered to children. For us, it was a place to devour our #19 pastrami sandwiches. Very tranquil, pretty, and even the weather was cooperative. Even better, nobody bothered us. Just how we like it. A lovely way to spend our afternoon. read more

Nice, clean park. Very chill, relaxed vibe. Huge, covered patio area with lots of tables. Great for birthday parties of maybe 35-50 people. It does have a bathroom, but it's a handicap size porta-potty. Hit or miss on the cleanliness. Parking is on the side streets. Benches to and fro throughout the park. Lots of big shady trees. Kids will enjoy the semi-canopied jungle gym, swings, slides, sandy area. There's also another packed dirt area that's good for bocci, lawn bowling, corn hole, etc. read more

Amazing park for the kids only downside I would say would be the bathrooms and parking but besides that I love the park.

Lovely trees (jacaranda, oak, palm, etc) and grassy area, nice playground, picnic area and several benches. Could benefit from a real bathroom and there was a spot of dog poop on the grass but otherwise clean and a good green space to stop in for a while. This is a nice, small park to go to where you can generally find a nice spot to sit. It's a good area to take a short walk. The play area and sand box have been closed since COVID but you can still find a lot of kiddos running around here. My only issue is that there's no enforcement of dog owners keeping their pets on a leash. We were ran up on by a giant dog and the owner seemed to think it was funny for everyone... it wasn't. Come on people. #1 put your dogs on leashes. #2 pick up poop. If you can't do that, maybe reconsider getting a dog in the first place? ‍ read more

PARK MOM BULLIES Park itself is great, we came out here with the little one and he was making friends and playing. The park has 4 slides two swings for older kids and two for youNeer ones. The playground is in a large sandbox which is great. But be careful with some of the moms out here though.. these two moms came up to their kids that were playing with our little one and told them not to play with him yet allowed them to play with the other white kids there. Our kid was confused he's only 2 years old they started to make faces at him so I went up to them and they said he was throwing sand everywhere and they don't want that kind of energy around their kids. The sand throwing was the kids playing tag and falling on the sand and then wiping themselves. After they started to ignore our kid they continued to play without him still throwing sand around. In any event, keep an eye on your kid and be careful with some of these racist moms. They're only children. read more

This was My Grandparents' LA, Hollywood community... They lived on N Bronson Ave between Beverly & Melrose Ave & this is the general area where My Dad grew up & went to school 'actress, and comedian 'Carol Burnett went to the same Middle School as My Dad, "Joseph Le Conte" on N Bronson Ave near Fountain since 1922 as did actor, Jason Robard who was a year ahead of My Dad & Jason Robard was in many great films... & historically rich 'Larchmont Village is nearby at Beverly & Larchmont Blvd read more

Nice place in central LA for a quick walk or dog play time. Not too crowded. Ample street parking. Portable potty is smelly and park can benefit from people not throwing trash on floor. read more

This park is pretty nice. With of nice array of trees. Has a place to eat your lunch while shading you from the sun. Great park to read a book or play catch. Just a good place to unwind and stop thinking about stressful life things. I do wish there was more space on the outskirts of playground to play catch as the trees block a lot of potential action. But can't complain really. Good park! read more

Small neighborhood park with plenty of shade & a covered jungle gym Driving down Beverly its easy miss this park. It's small but still gets plenty of traffic throughout the day. Mostly families or nannies with small children coming to the jungle gym and swings in the middle of the park. Plenty of trees keep the park shady and the temperature down. People also come here to read a book, do yoga, picnic or play with their dog. Typical park stuff. I even workout here sometimes. Porta-potty on site but use in in case of emergency. seriously. read more

Cute little park in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood. Playground for kiddies. Benches and covered picnic tables for everyone. A few trees. Not too much traffic. Good. One downside that I noticed were a fair amount of yellow jackets swarming around, especially in the picnic area. Just be careful that you and your little ones don't get stung. read more

I am lucky enough to live walking distance from this park. This parked raised me and kept me active. The area surrounding the park is great. Now better than ever, after it's continuous redevelopment. There is plenty of shade, open area, benches, & green grass outside of the kid sand pit & jungle gym. There's ice cream & toy vendors that come here frequently. It's not a huge park but it's enough for what it is. Plenty of space for a number of festivities & parties that I see on weekends. I would avoid using the porta-potty at all costs. read more

I have been coming to Robert Burns park since I was a youngin' and it has changed quite a bit over the years. I like how there is always parking available, unlike most places in Los Angeles where you have to keep putting change in the meter or drive around endlessly in circles. I digress, it is a nice park amidst a wonderful neighborhood and walking distance from Larchmont Village. The only downside is that the seating area is quite small therefore every Saturday there is at least three birthday parties with two parties going on in the grassy area. Weekends this park gets way too crowded so I prefer to go weekday mornings or Sunday afternoons when it isn't so wild. There are three slides, swings, and a little exercise jungle gym in the middle of the playground. There is also plenty of space outside of the playground to play sports and or have a picnic. read more

Great park, thank you to 1st reviewer! We come to Los Feliz to visit family often, & I've been trying to find good parks for my little girl. The majority of the large play structure is covered: play structures & swings are enclosed (good news for moms w/more than 1 ?!), lots of benches, big shade trees for chilling in the grass or picnicking. A downside are all of the icecream/balloon,cotton candy vendors hanging around-my kid forgot about playing & bugged out for treats :/ Luckily my little one didn't need to use the potty, based on 1st reviewer they're yuck. read more

Robert L Burns Park is located in Larchmont Village District of Los Angeles surrounded by Park La Brea, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, South Los Angeles and Culver City. It's a very nice and affluent neighborhood in Larchmont Village District. Offers great features for children. There's plenty of parking space available in and around the surrounding area. Visitors comprise of locals and tourists, moms, dogs, children, young professionals and all others. There aren't ample tables, chairs, seats available so not ideal for large events and celebrations. During the weekends, there are many park visitors overcrowding the park. There's aren't very many shaded areas. read more

Great park for kiddos. Gated, sand, soft playground turf. Just not enough shade, slides can get too hot. Nice mix of people & children visit this park. There is even a port-a-potty, but it's disgusting, like a port-a-potty usually is, but it's there in case of emergencies ;-p. I live right by this park so I've been going here my whole life. They recently redid the playground so it's really cool. Kids always have had fun here. Unfortunately, it's not really that big... Also, plan to use the restroom somewhere else. The porta potty is not ideal. Overall, this park has been a huge part of my life! When I was little I used to play here a lot and now that I'm older, it's a perfect spot to relax and read. read more

Cute park; lots of shade and playground is enclosed which is awesome for anyone with more than one child such a myself. It gets pretty crowed on a daily; because it sits in a really nice area; Windsor square/ Hancock Park with KTown near by... It seems like many of the kids are brought here by their nannys, which isn't a bad thing at all but it makes for a crowed park. It's always clean and there is a covered area with tables for parties, Parking Is off the street but not difficult to find... The only bad thing is that there isn't real restrooms, only a port-a-potty which can get nasty and stinky :/ read more

I don't recommend having a party here honestly . The sign outside the park says you need a permit for a party. I called the number but they said it was a different number . I tried calling for weeks for different numbers but no one ever answered . I called back the same number and a different girl said we don't need a permit and was "first come first serve". On the day of the party I got there at 6am and no one else was waiting . A lady came by the park and said I got lucky because the day before there was 5 parties in the park and they had been waiting since 5am . The parties were spread all over the park . So I guess I got lucky . I couldn't hang any decorations that I took and there was 2 trash bins by the tables that stunk so bad like they haven't taken out the trash in years . We were done and out by 7:40 . The park didn't close at 6pm , like it says, they probably closed it around 8 or 9 . read more
