The staff at Rodriguez Funeral Home completely understands that you are going through a tough time. What I liked the most about them is that I never once felt rushed. Picking a casket and ceremony cards were made easy. They let us cry when we needed to cry and let us ask questions when we needed answers. The staff was very helpful. The room for the viewing was small but very pretty. Soft tunes were playing in the background. We had a collage of family photos on a board which the staff put up for us in the waiting area. We also had the choice of playing a homemade slideshow on a small TV. Family and friends don't have to worry about parking. Parking on the sidewalk is allowed as well as parking on both Erie and J streets. On the day of the funeral, the limo arrived on time to pick up the family. The driver again, did not rush us one bit. We were still trying to get ourselves together and he completely understood. The staff at Rodriguez took care of flower arrangements as well as transferring the body from the morgue to the viewing then to the cemetery. All of this done so we won't have to make the calls. I've been to viewings before where the deceased looked unlike themselves. I could say my dad looked great. He looked exactly like himself and as though he was simply sleeping. Dealing with my dad's death has been one of the hardest things I've had to overcome, but the Rodriguez staff took some worry off my back. We did everything a step at a time and it all turned out beautifully.

Parting with a parent is one of life's gut wrenching parts of life. Losing my mom was strange at best and intensely somber at worse. But one of the funeral directors, Tim was an angel. He was incredibly responsive, mindful of unexpected cost my family was not fully prepared for, and most importantly, kind. No human wants to plan a funeral, but the incredibly kind and understanding handling from the very first phone call to the end of the internment services was more than I could ask for. Tim made modes of communication flow with ease, created beautiful holy cards, handled my mom with dignity and grace, tended quickly to logistical tasks such as a death certificate and finding the perfect priest for her services, and all the while remained mindful of financial restraints and had wonderful suggestions along the way. All too often people tend to easily vent their frustration when scenarios do not go their way. But I think it's even more important to sing the praises of wonderful people and wonderful businesses who strive and achieve their best. They tried their best to accommodate the many cars, but we were able to find street parking a block away. The staff greeted us at the door and directed us to where we needed to go. They did a great job setting up tables to feature pictures and belongings. And also took care of holding and bringing all items to the church the next day. My friend needed some extra time with their 1.5 year old daughter to say goodbye at the viewing, and staff allowed her as much time as she needed. The down side was availability. yes they made it happen and they were out of sight pretty much at the service and just a little too out of sight. when I had questions it was a hunt to find someoen and rather more to the point there was soemthing i wanted to drop off after the planning meeting but before the funeral and making daily stops at the office no one was there. This is the second time my family has used their services. First in 2022, when my mother passed away and just this year (2026) when my brother passed away. Before my brother passed, he wanted to do some preplanning. Lou came to our home and spoke with my brother and it made things easier when the time came. Jena was great. She worked her magic with a very well put together slideshow that had music in the background. Mike and staff were great when the evening viewing was held. The funeral mass was very well done. There was even a hiccup that occurred with the cemetery. Lou and family advocated and supported me throughout that process. My brother's urn was held for safekeeping at the funeral home. With the funeral services held April 17 & 18 and the burial service at the service finally held on May 20, that is why I am truly satisfied with the high quality services provided by Visconto Funeral Home. If it was not for the reason I will…read moreexplain I would have no reason to not give them 5 stars but I was appalled when I learned of this: Unfortunately, when people were arriving to pay their respects there was a very unwelcomed family member whose actions caused a small argument and someone accidentally bumped into a table resulting in a small vase with a little bit of water and a couple flowers to fall and break. The small puddle of water would have been an easy clean up. The only son of the deceased went to go take care of it but someone working for this group told them they had it covered. I did actually witness this part. I forget how the conversation came up but a couple months ago the son of the deceased told me he was sent a $75 clean-up fee for that. That is a classless move. Did you tell him you had it covered to score an extra $75 or do you think $75 is what you should charge someone to clean up a puddle of water after you mislead them with a quick casual rest assured "I got it." Either way that was a classless move and showed a sincere lack of respect. I am sure you can figure out who was billed for this and give them their money back. Shame!
