The teachers hate teaching so much, they will find any reason to kick the male minority students out of the classroom. Suspension for saying how happy a child is it is their last day of math because the math teacher can't have her feeling hurt. She is sensitive. The administrative staff is just as bad. They don't care the students are abused verbally and physically by teachers and other students. It is sad how much porn is past around the middle school. Public school has more over site and better requirements and safer. Mrs. Del Gatto, Mrs. Willis, Mrs. Yergler promote the abuse, push the students to also bully and abuse the students that they are trying to get rid of. Mrs. Del Gatto has been heard and seen informing boys they are worthless because they have a penis and yet still employed. If you want your child not to be emotional or mentally scarred by the middle school or administrative staff, try the public school. The only reason for two stars is most of the k-4 teachers care more about the students and their successful growth as children than the pressure of the middle school staff to do the same as them.

The buildings are beautiful, the grounds with little touches of love and humanity throughout. I was honored they shared this amazing places with me, you can feel the history.

The staff here is very rude to the children, and I…read moreremember as an elementary school student my mother was not allowed to walk me into my classroom anymore because the principal did not want my mother to hear the teachers screaming at all the children. I was also told I couldn't eat here in class and treated like I was stupid for eating. I would be saying the names of these people, but I don't even know if they still work here. I did not ride the bus much, but I would like to add that the bus drivers are very aggressive drivers and that they intentionally would make turns more difficult to throw children. How do I know this? Because the driver would literally tell us sarcastically "Okay, you better hold on.". I believe this place needs to be shut down forever. The child abuse I and others went through here without even realizing how wrong it was at the time is disgusting.

These students (all 503 at last count) score higher than the state average in math and reading compared to comparable statewide schools. The teacher to student ratio is great. My daughter attended school here during her elementary school days and we were well pleased with the results. We had many interactions with the teachers and they met or exceeded our expectations. This is a learning center focused on excellence. Grassy Pond elementary is most definitely a credit to Cherokee County, S.C.
