This is a review I have been sitting on for a while, because I drive by the Robert L Tobin Land Bridge very frequently. This, one mid Spring morning, I decided to walk to and on the bridge with a friend. I will say, it was worth the walk.
Truthfully, there is not much to see, but it does have some very nice spots to stop and look at native plants in the area. It also has some viewing boxes for sitting in the shade and observing fauna.
I enjoyed the walk because it was different and it gave an alternative route to the park. I expected to see the Parkway (Wurzbach) from the bridge, but it's really not easy to see for safety reasons. However, one can see it was well planned and definitely, invites the visitor to look at the plants.
During our walk, the area was a bit dry, as we have been going through a drought, but I'm sure it's spiffed up a bit with the recent rains. In any case, I do believe it is worth a visit. read more
