I had to get a root canal through a crown revisited bc of an infection and the work done on me was extensive and two visits. When I went to pay I was informed there was no charge which almost brought me up tears bc I totally didn't expect it and I felt guilty because I know how much time he spent making sure to combat the infection and keep my crown intact. My periodontal journey began with LANAP, then aligners for those bad boys, and finally a gum tunneling procedure that takes an incredible amount of skill to execute correctly. While gum tunneling is considered "minimally invasive," I don't think it should ever be taken lightly when it comes to WHO performs it. This is one of those procedures where experience, precision, and artistry matter tremendously, and this woman IS a surgical artist. I was pretty nervous the week leading up to surgery, having built this procedure up in my head as a huge and painful event. Instead, the entire experience felt like relaxing girl talk while the Queen of Dentistry worked her magic. Before I knew it, I was done. The craziest part? I walked out smiling, feeling amazing, and you genuinely couldn't even tell I had just undergone periodontal surgery. Yes...really. The recovery pain was surprisingly minimal considering what I had done. The realization of no longer having gums that felt like frickin' tissue paper and finally correcting my bizarre gingival defect has been eye-opening. You don't realize what your mouth has been missing until it's finally healthy again! The difference has TRULY been life-changing and I feel like my mommy makeover has been completed with exceptional results. My only complaint?
