When I was there the office staff was very nice but I again asked if they took my insurance and was assured they did. During the visit they claimed I needed a deep cleaning and it wouldn't be covered. I specifically told them I wouldn't want anything not covered. They said since I needed a deep cleaning they wouldn't even do a standard cleaning unless I opted for the deep cleaning which they said would have been an extra $800!! So I wasted my time to go here but wait, it gets better! They then sent me a $400 bill for the X-rays they told me were covered!! Are you kidding me?? I would NEVER recommend this place based off these shady billing practices!! I am definitely going to challenge that bill since under nj law they have to tell you if they don't take your insurance!

The office is very close to the Sheraton in Mo'town and if you drive too fast you will miss the entrance. The parking lot is open and circular which adds a classy feel and the office is always very neat/clean and very calming. The couch is comfortable and there is a huge window off to the side that looks out to a garden. The entire staff is so lovely and helpful and make the process of being in a dentist chair enjoyable. I've had regular cleanings done here and , had two filings. The most awesome part is, Dr. Brown was cool with me wanting the mirror turned down in my direction so I could watch! It actually was quite facinating how he worked and was able to touch only the areas he wanted and fill and file so nicely. He is a pretty low key, cool guy and can be quite charming! Best is...he really knows teeth and seems very up to date on technology and is knowledable about older techniques and can recognize it.

Initially, my first-time patient experience was to find a suitable and reliable dentist/dentistry practice that would actually listen to my concerns (the patient) as to my molar root exposure with severe nerve-related pains that lasted between January 2026 into February 2026. To my surprise, after receiving a first-time patient assessment and dental cleaning, a petite female dentist at this particular practice (did not catch her name) called me out, stating aloud in front of everyone, "You do not go around dentist shopping..." rather than acting professionally in the workforce, having any sort of empathy, actively listening to my concerns (as the patient), and understanding my severe level of pain behind tears. To my utter dismay and shock, I was beyond repulsed. Instead of arguing or talking back to show my frustrations from professional to professional - which I believe was not worth my time or efforts or energy to utter anything at all - I paid my copayment and left. Now, after some months passing, it is time to drop my long-awaited negative review. Thank you much in advance. It matters which individuals are working in a practice, truly.
