Dr. Peppercorn has been my dermatologist for a couple of decades. Although I have tried other dermatologists, I have had the best results with Dr. Peppercorn. He has greatly improved my sun and age damaged skin with laser resurfacing and prescription creams. Most recently he prescribed a medication when I went to him for hair loss. Overall - really good experience - especially for an online doctor (skymd)! Details of Visit - He clearly read the info I provided before he created a treatment plan and he thoroughly described why he chose that plan. He let me ask questions. I "saw" Dr. Peppercorn after an in-person derm. visit with a doctor in Dallas. I didn't feel like she listened to me (didn't ask any questions and wasn't interested in my info. Despite it being online - I felt more listened to than with my in-person doctor. Note: My experience may be different than yours. I think one of the reasons my visit turned out great was because I gave detailed info in my write up and considered questions before my *visit. My advice is to do the following to make the most of your visit: 1) Write up detailed info about your skin issue. When did it start? Do you ever see it get better? What were other over the counter treatments you've tried. Have you been to other doctors. Are there possible correlating issues or other medical issues you have. 2) Ask follow-up questions. Ask why. Very overpriced. Had me take cancer cream for 4 weeks before doing a lab test, when that didn't work they decided to test spot. $100 for cream that I didn't need, made me sick and I missed work. $128 Office visit $298 to take skin sample for lab (other drs. include this in office visit) $196 for lab oh wait dont forget $84.50 to read lab results when they come back!! She genuinely cares for her patients Robert took one look at me and exuded compassion and sincerity he said you don't have to suffer any longer I can help you with that I just burst into tears I asked him to help me and I would listen to any of his directions to make it happen he was extremely thorough he did all the necessary lab work to ensure he was on the right track and when it came back negative for anything serious he started treatment right away when my insurance was giving me trouble on my medication he handled it immediately he cares so much for his patients and I felt safe under his care just look at my face this is a matter of four months difference I only have two months left for my Accutane cycle and I'm so excited to see the very end results I'm so thankful forever thank you Dr. Peppercorn and your wonderful staff ! read more

My family has been very loyal by going to Dr. Peppercorn for almost twenty years and I had called to make MY first appointment with him after my entire immediate family highly recommended him. I was very polite and was looking forward to my potential visit when the receptionist rudely interrupted me stating that they no longer accept new patients and then hung up. She didn't squeeze me in because my immediate family goes to him, nor did she apologize for the inconvenience and refer me to someone else in the area... I took my son to Dr. Peppercorn's office to have some warts removed off of his hand. We were ushered to an examination room and a Dr. Chance entered and said: "So, you want to remove some warts". He then applied some sort of "freezing" device to the warts. After a few minutes, he said that the warts would begin to "die" and soon be rid of them. He NEVER explained what a wart was. He never explained different options for removal of warts. He never explained costs NOR did he explain that some options might not work. After three weeks, there was absolutely no noticeable change to my son's warts. So we scheduled another appointment with Dr. Chance. He was whisked in and given another form of treatment. After a few weeks we noticed that, still, no change in the warts had been made. Then we got our bill...Peppercorn charged $1000 for the two office visits that had produced absolutely NO CHANGE in the warts on my son's hand! First of all, $1000 for a total of 15 minutes in an examination room is extremely absurd. No wonder doctors live in such nice houses and drive such nice cars. I took my son and showed that no progress had been made to the warts to the office, and they had charged me $1000. They did not find the charges unreasonable even when absolutely no change was made in the condition of the warts. They would be happy to continue treatments at $600 per office visit. For all I know, they applied water to the warts and charged me $1000. I told them that I would pay the bill if they completely removed the warts. They said "NO". So, Dr. Peppercorn and his staff have no pride nor honesty in their work. They couldn't care any less about their patients. They just want their money. read more
