I retained Wright Family Law group roughly 60 days ago. I was assigned Attorney David Gavegnano. I…read morewas very optimistic after my $175 consultation. Which I immediately was charged a $5,000 retainer. Great. I'm Optimistic. The early phase was fair, this is 90% email, say 2 phone calls and 1 Zoom meeting. I was told we needed a 4X4, basically mediation. This came and went. The only agreement that could be reached was to use an App for communication. David was never on the offensive, despite my suggestions. There was no strategy, but to answer opposing Counsels filed Court documents which roughly $1,500 for him to read. I'm a fair person. But this was a joke. $5,000 for reading emails, a couple phone calls 2 meetings. The opposing counsel ran circles around David. If you have $20k plus to go the distance. Go somewhere else. You may as well light $5,000 on fire. Needless to say I fired David today.

I went to Ellen Wright (EWFL) for multiple Consultations over the course of my 18 year marriage…read more She portrayed herself as a hard fighting advocate who could absolutely help me get divorced. But, When I actually did hire her for the job, the performance/ result from her & her firm was lame, disinterested, unorganized and entirely unsupportive. She accomplished nothing on my case, after an entire year of expensive court appearances. She could barely make a sentence in front of the judge, did not follow-up on the key Court Clinician report, did not even try to represent me in Conciliation ~ and as my case was approaching a possible trial, she informed me that she did not do Trials!!!!! After paying this lady $10K for nothing, she is still trying to get hundreds more from me in Small Claims Court. I don't know how she has 5 Star Reviews. When I finally got a real Lawyer (Meg Rubino @ Mansur Law, Concord, MA) my case was satisfactorily settled in 6 months. What is the matter with Ellen Wright? She fawned over opposing counsel at each court appearance and hired him for her Lawyer of The Day Program at the courthouse, During my case. I felt like I did not have any representation with EWFL.

I was caught on Lidar traveling 83 mph in a 55 mph zone in Lowell, but against all odds, I won my…read moreappeal in traffic court, all thanks to Mr. King. I called various law practices in search for the right lawyer. Some other lawyers I called made brief mention of how tricky my case would be, but then repeatedly emphasized their high overall success rate in traffic court instead of discussing my specific case, and I got the feeling I was speaking to a salesperson rather than someone who would have my best interests in mind. Instead, on our initial phone call, Mr. King listened carefully to the details of the case. I knew I could trust him when, instead of trying to push me into paying for his services, he candidly discussed how he would be able to help and the different reasons why the case would be quite difficult to win, with or without his help. Mr. King had me meet with him in person so we could discuss in greater detail my side of the story and what he would be able to do to help. He was as honest as possible in helping me understand what the cost of his services were, and what the benefits of his representation would be, so that I could then decide if it would be worth it. He was clear that I didn't have much of a legal argument at my disposal, and the best I could hope for was the clerk's sympathy and leniency given my otherwise clean driving record. Given that he teaches several courses at UMass Lowell Law School and that Lowell is his home court, Mr. King was also able to explain in detail the inner workings of the Lowell district traffic court and his track record with similar cases. All this information and advice was shared before the signing of any contracts or checks, which further convinced me that Mr. King truly had my best interests in mind and was not just trying to sell his services no matter what. I was deeply impressed by Mr. King's honesty, professionalism, expertise, and clear communication, so I decided to go ahead and enlist his help. I couldn't be happier that I did, and I think the outcome of the case speaks for itself!

We went to Atty Haroutunian to draw up a complex estate plan that included a set of standard…read moredocuments (wills, POS, etc.), but also involved trusts and citizenship factors. The process was pleasant and Atty Haroutunian was easy to work with. However, the final set of documents we received was disappointing. Specifically, the biggest issue resulted from all of the documents being generated as a single file. While during the definition process this made some things easier (mass changes across the documents), it also meant that details like document specific page numbers could not be provided. The final set of delivered documents was a printout of this file (with additional correspondences and filing docs added). While the final electronic copy (a pdf) was a scan of the physical pages (vs. printing the doc as a PDF). This made the e-copy unsearchable and the pages often show the tilt that occurred on the scanner. Consequently, separating the physical documents is difficult and in at least one case the pages were mixed up (a single page document was placed in the middle of another multi-page document. The formatting was inconsistently applied, causing some lists to be inline run-on (list elements in a single paragraph vs. on separate lines) and difficult to read. Text highlighting was used during the definition phase to emphasize specific elements of the doc, however, these were not removed in the final version. Capitalization, bold formatting and in some cases even spelling/terminology were inconsistently applied and require going back to reference other docs to verify the intent. At least one document lacks a title. In the end, while we did get the legal documents required, I would only recommend Priority Law with reservations. We will not use Priority Law again if these practices are not corrected.
