Multiple myeloma:…read more There are a lot of questions that need to be answered by the tests. But that will unfold smoothly. I am a very lucky man to be on this voyage to to be cured of blood cancer/Multiple myelom at San Diego Scripps Grreen hospital, the best hospital that I've ever been in, not that i've ever been in a "Four Seasons resort" Medicare Hospital Supplement. Reportedly, an 85% chance of full remission in the U.S. for Multiple myeloma. That includes everybody in the world no matter what condition they are or their age. I believe that percentage is likely higher because of this Green hospital, the top notch doctors & nurses who selectively work there, and my attitude to have fun while I succeed. Foremost, the "food is to order" and medical service by everyone is fantastic. I've been on "order first"/" sight-unseen" steroids aggressively fighting this for a number of days before I even check in. Oncologist Dr. Bryan Pham was the initial point Doctor for me and is one of the many All-Star gurus of the team. He sat down and hugged me. He knew exactly what to do from the beginning. I love him. On my very first visit to Dr. Pham, he did a bone marrow biopsy. It did not hurt too bad because everything was numbed before the procedure and until the first night. That night was the most painful night of my life once the numbness wore off. That's okay though because they have meds so you survive. I was never worried. Before he stuck the needle into me, he asked me what kind of music I wanted to hear ("Mr. Chin," by the beloved albino Jamaican legend Yellowman" who survived jaw bone cancer in the face) so the biopsy would be relaxing.. Dr. Pham thankfully fast-tracked everything. The wizard, the genius, head hancho Dr. Dimitrios Tzachanis, MD, PhD, magically runs things. "Dr. T" makes you feel you are so fortunate to be among such a mystic, amazing grasp of the overall medical effects and chronological steps. Dr. Michaela Miller "Doctor of the Month" is primarily among other Superwomen doctors who all work with each other and make sure that you get successful anytime treatment and any necessary appointment on the spot at the hospital as soon as possible; it doesn't matter what time of day or night. Noor Qaddour, DO, and Bijan Roshan, MD, carefully show up with hands on in places you nay not think, e.g. lab, kidneys. More necessary checks and balances! There are so many good doctors and nurses, I'm blown away. There are so many top notched medical specialists, I don't know where to stop. They know who they are. They work at Scripps. They are my heroes. Of course, I would have never got here without my wonderful wife or cat. My cat Butters saved my life. Over a week ago I was petting my cat. Then he decided to pick up the love by digging his claws into my wrist, which resulted in a blood poisonous bruise which was clearly infected ( visible to my wife), leading to an emergency room trip to a Motel Six style hospital / hotel. When we walked in, a man was yelling that a truck ran over his foot. I was messed up; I needed to switch hospitals. Everything was properly addressed at Scripps. I have been and will be continuously treated until cured. I have a very positive and fun attitude, a must. I have simply continued to do as told. I have Multiple myeloma (requiring apx. 7 radiation treatments) plus easy-to-do chemotherapy, treatment of cancer lesions in the back, possible bloodclots (which is why I wear compression socks and take a blood thinner, improved kidneys, and important procedures of anything needed on every level. We're winning. It's not gonna be easy or a quick fix. Good things in life take work and time. No pain no gain. The Doctors feel good about where we are now. I am extremely satisfied and feel blessed. I can't say enough. They really care about their 1st class "modern medicine" treatments. The doctor came in and thanked us for being good patients. The doctor always looks at my wonderful wife because he knows she is the one he can trust. She is spearheading this positive direction. I am trying to have fun. If I could just make one person laugh every day. I will.

Everyone worked together as a team to best help my situation and get me feeling better so I could go home. I have only positive thoughts about my stay at Green Hospital. You will be under a great umbrella of care if you are admitted to Green.

I had a fall the day prior and concerned I may have experienced a hairline fracture. From the moment I arrived, I was immediately checked in, triaged and x-rayed. My longest wait was to be seen. Yet, even then my wait was probably all of 15 min. More than likely I picked a slow night but not attempting reason for another visit anytime soon...haha... Overall, between the moment of check-in to check-out the staff were kind, caring and supportive. The only thing that stinks is paid parking. All small price to pay for the prompt and expedient service!

Dear Torrey Pines Urgent Care Staff,…read more Thank you for your message and for the care you provided during my recent visit. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to your team. The staff were professional, attentive, and very helpful, which I truly value--especially during a time when I was dealing with post-surgical discomfort. At the same time, I would like to respectfully share a concern regarding patient comfort. As someone who is still recovering from spine surgery, I found it very difficult to remain seated upright while waiting. I understand that wait times are part of urgent care services; however, having a few reclining or more supportive seating options for patients in significant pain or post-surgery recovery could make a meaningful difference. I offer this feedback with respect and appreciation, and in the spirit of helping enhance the patient experience for others in similar situations. Thank you again for your care and dedication to your patients. Respectfully, Tony

Check doctors notes after visit and you will see many errors. Example doc notes said numbing and endoscophy was done. It wasn't and they billed insurance for this. Notes said septum midline. It is not and never checked. Ct Scan done through another provider showed it was bent in 2 places. Do not trust these doctors with your health. They do quick exams with many mistakes and have absolutely no bedside manner.

Got ordered PT from my physician and was offered here. I wasn't excited (had never been to PT…read morebefore, but obviously others find it useful) so I asked about price. I was quoted $40 and ONLY $40. Sounds low, but insurance is a confounding business so I just kept asking. Everyone said Insurance covers everything else. Just $40 for me. I called the UCSD Health Billing Estimators and confirmed: $40 is all I would ever have to pay. They called my insureance. More confirmation. I asked the receptionist and she said its only $40. Repeatedly. I bet if I walked in or called today they would give the same ridiculous erroneous information with a straight face. I went to the consult which was fine --- I'm always ready to pay for some expertise and to know what's up. As I suspected, it was expensive, but OK -it's a lot of activity. Still nothing like what they suggested it would cost, but whatever. Then the return visit, however, was not even worth the $40. A few stretches in half an hour and a template printout of some stretches to do at home. I could have gotten this from the internet and not wasted a morning with traffic and terrible valet parkers (so slow and unhappy and incompetent ... what an unnecessary line) and a half hour of stretching. It was assumed by the staff that I would return, and I hoped it would be better, so I tried once more. It was just more uselessness. Barely worth $40, but definitely not the hundreds I somehow ended up being charged (plus $500+ for the initial visit). Either their estimators asked Anthem Insurance the WRONG questions or Anthem gave the WRONG answer. Either way, as you can see from the pics, I was charged an order of magnitude more than I was assured I would be charged. I'm obviously the only one who did nothing wrong yet these two parties can't settle on how to get accurate info to an incoming patient. The patient then suffers. The parade of customer service people I worked with then pointed fingers at Anthem Insurance, who in turn pointed fingers back at UCSD. I submitted an appeal to Insurance which (duh) was rejected and went back to UCSD who must have felt sorry for me because Ana just wrote off 20% like someone should have at the beginning. She is the reason for 2 not 1 star. Conclusions: the PT is way overpriced (I hope it works for some, It was pretty useless to me) and 2) one of the estimators literally said they NEVER saw such a huge variance between estimate and actual - lucky me to get the least competent employee at the outset of this debacle - so make sure you REALLY need this for your health otherwise just go to someplace with honest upfront pricing.
