I am discouraged by the lack of professionalism and integrity of this company. We had a gas leak…read morefrom our boiler and called for service. When the workers arrived they were polite but they seemed hesitant to do any work on our unit because it is a much older model. So they called their boss to get input and my wife could hear the owners comments over the phone stating as paraphrased, " absolutely not she will have to get a new boiler.". We even had the control switch unit on hand for them to replace. So we told them we would look elsewhere for repairs. We called Proficient heating and plumbing located in brick. They arrived within the hour, 15 minutes early , completed the service repair in less than 2 hours and charged a reasonable fee. How can Casper heating justify refusal for service if their workers aren't competent or skilled enough to work on an older model? We didn't need a new boiler and the repairs done on it from proficient heating and plumbing did a great job and the unit runs fine. I'm not sure if they're dealing with newer hires or personnel turnover but this is unacceptable. I strongly discourage if you want knowledgeable, skilled workers go to Proficient Heating and Plumbing.

My experience with Carbone HVAC & Plumbing:…read more We contracted with Carbone HVAC & Plumbing to install 2 heating and Air Conditioning systems in my Sandy reconstruction home. Mr Carbone installed a high efficiency heating unit in our unheated attic after telling us that this unit would not freeze. In December 2017 we had no heat for 3 days in my second floor because the heat froze in the attic. The manufacturer's installation instructions stated that this unit should not be installed in an unheated space and that provisions should be made to protect the drainage lines.The systems were installed in 2016 and from the time the heat was stated, we had problems. Contacting Carbone was impossible. When I did spoke to Mr. Carbone, I was told to raise the temperature on the thermostat. After that I got voice mail for most of my calls. Three and one half months after my first call, his tech came to my house to try to balance the vents which did not change anything. His lead tech came in April to readjust the vents but we could not check them until November, 2017 because it was warm. After I discovered leaks in the vents while the air conditioning was running, I was told by MR. Carbone that he had leaks in his system and don't worry about it. I filed a compliant with the Consumer Affairs from New Jersey which was transferred to the HVAC Board. The board did nothing because Mr. Carbone told them a story that he exhausted all efforts for a solution. He claimed this even though he never looked at the unit. Mr. Carbone never registered our units with the manufacturer and we lost an 5 year extended warranty. In order to obtain this, our installation had to be registered within 60 days. Carbone Heating is incompetent to install any systems and has no regard for his customers. The only consideration he has is to take money from from his customers and not provide service.

I made the mistake of using them to replace my HVAC system, and I have regretted every single moment of it since. Even some of their own technicians have expressed to me their intention to quit the company as soon as possible due to their practices. Go with an actual local company and save yourself years of headaches.

A nice gentleman came by and gave me a quote of $945!!! (I think that was the exact amount) to lift and reset the toilet. I could not believe what I heard. After he called his supervisor to try to give me a discount, I got a quote of $650. I still felt that was too much so I told him I will look for other quotes. I called two other plumbing companies. After describing the problem, one gave me an estimate over the phone for around $350. The other company I called came by and gave me a quote (and did the work) for $384. (Also, when I searched on the internet for the average cost for that kind of work, the amount I paid was consistent with the average price.) Please note: The reason I had only called AJ Perri, without calling other plumbers to compare quotes, is because I used AJ Perri twice in the past and their prices were reasonable and the technicians were very nice and competent. But this time I was shocked by that incredibly high quote, so I had to end up calling others. That's too bad for them!
