While there, he quickly dismissed my concerns and I continuously SUFFERED with severe pain and my primary doctor was the one who ended up helping me feel better. I refused to pay his $85 Bill based on principle because he didn't help me at all. NOW HE HAD A COLLECTION COMPANY PUT THIS ON MY CREDIT REPORT WHICH LOWERED MY CREDIT BY SEVENTY (70) POINTS. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! This from a Doctor Who told me about a year ago when I wanted to lose a few pounds " you definitely need to lose a few pounds because you're a pretty girl. If you were ugly I would just tell you give it up and stay fat". WORD FOR WORD. I have NEVER been late or missed any payments and they went for my credit score in the midst of a pandemic when people are losing their jobs. HORRIBLE. I am a SINGLE MOM trying to get by and was wanted to refinance my daughter's school loan BUT NOW I CANT GET A GOOD interest rate because of $85. Used my VISA, and was given a thermal paper printout. In confusion, I asked right then for an itemized bill, got a quick "your insurance blah, blah" and left, assuming one would arrive at some point. Post procedure, as the numerous bills for covid test, labs, anesthesiologist, primary doc, etc. trickled in (along with my EOBs) I called 914-683-1555, and was told "your insurance authorized that amount". This was a blatant lie. Four (4) months later, Ive come to learn that my health insurance 1. has no record of authorizing any invoice for payment, 2. would never require a patient to pay ahead of the EOB provider claims, and 3. I have no recourse to pursue reimbursement.

They recommended me endoscopic proceedure for which They charged me 1000 dollars upfront , I paid that money in cash in good faith. They billed my insurance and Later they send me bill of 265 dollars as my deductible. I called several times to clarify the issue that office has already charged me 1000 dollars and each time they said that I still have to pay the amount. Frustrated with their staff I called up my insurance and asked for clarification,they told me that the doctor office is in contract with the insurance and they are not suppose to charge you the amount. The kind insurance lady made a three way call and clinic staff admitted that they are at fault and THEY OWE ME THE MONEY. So this is the case of over billing and fraud billing which is not resolved till date . I never recieved my money back which should roughly between500 to 700 dollars.
