Unfortunately, that trust has been lost due to the lack of communication, professionalism, and transparency we have experienced. After our taxes were prepared, we discovered there was a significant difference between the refund amount we were originally told and what was reflected by the IRS. We immediately reached out multiple times by phone and text asking for an explanation and simply requesting communication. We were not asking for anything unreasonable we just wanted answers and an understanding of what happened. Despite multiple attempts to contact her, we still have not received any direct communication, phone call, or explanation. We were later informed through an email that our tax return had been amended, but we were never given a clear explanation of what was changed, why it was changed, or any opportunity to discuss the situation beforehand. This has been extremely disappointing and stressful. When you trust someone with something as important as your taxes, you expect honesty, professionalism, and communication. Unfortunately, that is not the experience we have had. We made every effort to resolve this privately and gave multiple opportunities for communication. We simply wanted answers and transparency, but we continue to be left without an explanation. Future clients deserve a tax professional who values communication, keeps clients informed, and takes their concerns seriously. Based on our experience, we would not recommend using this tax preparer. I truly hope this review encourages her to communication so we can finally resolve this matter. We never wanted it to get to this point. A simple courtesy call or honest explanation could have prevented a lot of frustration. This location is at 4770 West Ann Road, Ste 2, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89031. I called the number listed on the website and spoke to a lady named Charlie at the Rancho location. She said the tax preparers were running late but would be there soon. There were four of us customers waiting outside. Eventually, I saw Tika arrive--she was not scheduled to work that day, but I want to mention that she was an excellent employee last year. She kindly opened the office and logged into her computer, but was unable to access her Jackson Hewitt account. She called her manager, Pam, who asked to be put on speakerphone so everyone could hear. I expressed my frustration to Pam, the manager. Pam told Tika to send us to the Rancho location, which made no sense to me. If we had appointments, someone should have been there to assist us. Pam said there was a family emergency with one of the tax preparers. However, I found her to be very rude and unsympathetic, as if our concerns were not significant. As a manager, she should have called us in advance to arrange coverage for the appointments. Instead, she acted as though we were bothering her.
