It's November and each year I deliver a bouquet or have a basket delivered to my last surviving auntie and uncle. She's my mom's kid sister. My parents have been gone over a decade yet every October I receive a birthday card with $50 from them, it's amazing. Doc had surprised us this year with a gorgeous basket and flowers from Roberta's. I decided to order from her this year. I placed the order on line and got a call from Roberta a couple hours later. By that afternoon I got a Thankyou from my uncle. He must be at least 90 years old. I am so grateful to Roberta!!! Roberta made my Mom's Mother's Day very very special! Not only did Roberta make my Mom's Mother's Day special, she made MY Mother's Day special too, Thank you :) The week before Mother's Day was unusually busy for me and I didn't realize until the day before Mother's Day that I hadn't done anything for my Mom, YIKES!!! I live in Colorado so I googled Flower Shops in Waikiki and and started calling. Thank goodness either no one answered or they couldn't handle another Mother's Day order. When Roberta answered and I asked her if she could still do a Mother's Day order, she was so lovely and calm (not like the other flower shops I called), she said she had two orchid plants left. I was so relieved that I could still get something special for my mom, my mom is ill and I don't know how many more Mother's Day gifts I will get to buy her. I could hear her store was busy, but Roberta made me feel like I was the most important person in the world to her. She unhurriedly described both plants to me and they both sounded gorgeous. I was so happy that I bought them both! As I write this, I feel a bit bad because now I'm wondering if someone called her after me and now Roberta had nothing to offer them, I hope this didn't happen and I'm sorry if it did :( Roberta made a gorgeous display for my Mom, and she texted me a picture when she finished it. When I called my mom in early afternoon and she hadn't received them yet, I contacted Roberta to inquire when she thinks she'd be delivering them. Roberta returned my call and explained there was a traffic accident on the freeway and she was a little delayed (even though we didn't have a designated delivery time). For this delay, she even gave my mom home made cookies to go with her orchids, WOW!!! Roberta also told me that Mother's Day is very special to her and she was so happy I had called her and wanted to do something even more special for my mom that she upgraded the basket and added more things to it! I rarely take the time to write up reviews, but the experience I had with Roberta's Gift Basket & Floral was, put simply, exceptional! I found them online with many very positive reviews, saw a picture of a lovely basket on their website and then called to order a last minute Christmas gift basket for friends in Honolulu. Roberta, herself, answered and apologized that some of the basket items were already out of stock and wouldn't be in until the following week. She then gave me a referral to another business she recommended. (Who does that anymore?! How refreshing!) When I said I could wait and send the basket as a New Year's gift, she took all my information (but did not ask for my credit card) and said she would call me when all items were available and we could complete the order. Sure enough, she texted and called and was so kind in helping me and she and her team made a phenomenal gift basket. The recipients were beyond thrilled with all the local gourmet treats and sent me several pictures (and two videos!) of the basket and the cont. I had such lovely phone conversations with Roberta and enjoyed her kindness, thoughtfulness and a level of customer service support that is truly exceptional. She 'fit' the basket colors and contents to the recipient, she let me know when it had been delivered to the reception desk, and she followed up to ensure they enjoyed the gift. She didn't even process my payment until after delivery and she was ensured I was pleased. She and her team provide 'old school' customer care that just doesn't exist much nowadays. Most of the time she's a one-man shop from taking orders, making orders and delivering them. She's been in the business for years so she knows her stuff and can make great recommendations. Even when sending to the hospitals, she knows what can and cannot be delivered and will tell you. She takes great pride in her work. Her shop is not visible from the street so best to call her. She has a website, but if you want to order, you'll need to call--unfortunately she doesn't have online ordering, but she'll give each order a personal touch!
