Walked into the store and was greeted by a nice lady and I believe her husband who was making the cigars. I continued and made myself a variety pack of six. They even asked if I wanted them sprayed with I believe coñac. They were very nice and will shop here again. When I got home I put the cigar in my humidor. After a week I started smoking them and man they are good! The cigars are medium to full woody, little sweet but not sweet tipped, kind of hints of like fruit. This is a hidden gem for cigar smokers! To say that the Gonzales Family aims to please the customer would be a HUGE understatement. Today was no exception. I walked in and picked out 2 Torpedoes and took them to the counter. El Señor Roberto promptly returned them back to humidor and returned with a bag containing the latest batch of Torpedoes he had rolled said, "Mejor escoja dos de aqui." (Translation: Choose 2 from here.) Since their prices are beyond reasonable, I went ahead and bought 5. This place is a Southeast L.A. institution and one of the few places, besides Leon Cigar's in K-Town, where I know I am getting authentic Cuban craftsmanship.* *Seriously, no matter what claims I may here about a habano, nothing beats buying a handmade cigar close to home. P.S. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the only negative review that was written. Cigars range from $2-$5 not bad for a "Cuban Cigar" I recommend the Roberto Shorty its a full flavor cigar that gives you a 1/2hr to a 45min of smoking bliss. The only con I have is parking. There's (3) store front parking spots and a small shopping center next door that's always jam packed.
