I can honestly say that I have never been in an airport as small as this one. Great Lakes was kind…read moreenough to call me and let me know that there was a mechanical issues with the plane for my scheduled flight, so they could either send me to Lincoln in a taxi with some other passengers or they could put me on a later flight. I opted for the later flight. Luckily, with such a small airport you don't have to get there really early. One of the guys who was attempting to check me in was rather rude, which seemed unnecessary since I was one of three customers in the airport. Maybe I interrupted his nap? I did find it pretty funny that they seem to call in security right before the flights take off, instead of keeping them around all the time - but then again, I think there are only 4 outgoing flights a day!

It was an upgrade to a large place which w dint nee but was fine and no added cost. The place is an old youth camp with a gym, play grounds, soccer field and many other amenities. They appear to be fixing up the spaces. There are a lot of grassy areas and shade trees. Even though there is a train tracks close I never heard a thing. We did lose power for about an hour, but again it was from something else as a large part of southern Dodge city was out. If anything was needed we just sent a message and they responded very quickly. It's a very nice Airbnb place. Planning to come back nxt year after all the construction is complete in town so we can see everything. Check this place out if you are in need in this area.

Had my curling iron hanging from it after I plugged it in because there was no place to set it except the back of the toilet. One of my pet peeves is no convenient outlets in motel rooms. The sleeping part of the room was pretty spacious though. The hotel was conveniently located as fairly clean but you won't see me back again.

We stayed here while the SO did some repair work at one of the wind farms around town. After a 10…read morehour drive, we got in late and was not sure if they took pets or not. They do ($5 pet fee), they just cannot come into the office where there is a "no pets" sign. This is an older motel that seems to cater to working travelers. Our room was clean but a bit shabby. It looks like the room had been trashed in the past, but some repair work had been done. We had a smoking room (which seems to be rare these days) that came with a small fridge and microwave. The motel does have laundry facilities (2 washers and 2 dryers). The whole tower crew stayed here while we were in town. The only thing that I didn't like is the housekeeping staff kept giving me the "stink eye", maybe because I didn't leave with everyone else, but it got to the point I actually asks them (politely) "what they lookin' at". If you do not have to have the amenities of the big name chain motels (and they seem to be all there in Dodge City) and are traveling on the cheap, this place should meet your needs.

A great value for an overnight stay…read more Regency Inn and Suites caught my eye as an affordable lodging option in the Dodge City area. Right from the start, I had a very positive experience here. Everyone on staff was very friendly and made you feel welcomed. Parking is convenient with plenty of spaces for a close spot, as well as areas for larger trucks/trailers to park. The motel is adjacent to a bar and restaurant, so that is nice if you need a bite after a long trip or before you hit the road again. The room was very clean and tidy. For the price paid, it was an outstanding value. There was a flat screen TV, plenty of lamps/lights, a mini-fridge and a microwave. Even though I usually stay at bigger chains, I can still recommend Regency and may stay here again if I'm in the area.
