Coming in to drop another review and update since my last was so long ago. When I think about outcomes, it's hard to decide where to begin. Through working with Robin my relationship with my spouse/children, and self all improved... our work helped me through things pragmatically e.g. "how do I tell a client...(insert hard thing here)" and spiritually "Can I find a sense of belonging". In fact, even my income improved significantly, by working through ways I wasn't respecting my own time or valuing my own work. Robin knows how to meet someone where they are in a journey and push when necessary. She has knowledge of so many therapeutic practices and philosophies which is helpful when trying to understand yourself and patterns. And while her knowledge of different spiritual practices and archetypes is vast- she will not allow any spiritual bypassing in her sessions :) I appreciate Robin's ability to hold space and have empathy while pushing past my comfort zone. We worked so much on my self respect, deservingness, idealism, co-dependence, and self-awareness. Her sessions made me aware of stories and childhood traumas/patriarchal programming that has been running my life in the background. I also feel like I've developed more lightheartedness and compassion which was so necessary as I became a mother. I am so grateful for my work with Robin. Robin is absolutely the best coach I have ever worked with. Even having a master's degree in Women's Studies, I was hesitant to dive deep into such feminist work. What would people think of me if I got this help? What would they think of the woman I would become as a result? After my first call with Robin, I realized that these voices were just another aspect of patriarchal conditioning. Working with Robin Clark has changed my life, not just once but many times. I started working with her in 2006, and have been consistently seeing her weekly more or less since then, give or take a few years. Looking back, those years would have been so much better if I had stuck with it, which is why I will probably be working with her in at least some capacity for a long time to come. I met Robin soon after I was divorced after 18 years of being married. I hit rock bottom and knew in order to heal I needed to do the work. I had no idea where to begin and felt helpless. Robin and I worked together for two and a half years straight and I still see her for check-in's. She taught me that I had to do the heavy lifting and she would show me what muscles to develop and shed light on where I was feeling stuck. It's HARD work but so rewarding and I can't imagine having gone on that journey with anyone else besides her. She is tuned in, intuitive, loving yet honest. Expect to be put in your place and drop all the "stories", she isn't someone to go to who will allow you to stay stuck. There is work and homework and through it all, I have transformed and feel healthy,happy and whole due to the fact I had an amazing guide and I was willing to show up and do the work. Even now I still fall into old habits, but I constantly go back to my notes and when I get stuck or in a funk, I go right back for a check-in. There will be times where you fight it and fight her and that is because we struggle with the unknown and don't like to look within ourselves at times. I reached out to Robin 2 years when I was at a low point in my life. I was burnt out from work, not happy in my relationships, and severely lacking boundaries in my life. I gave too much of myself, constantly pouring from an empty cup. I was living my life the way others expected me to and it wasn't working anymore. Working with Robin, I've learned so much about myself, from my childhood conditioning and trauma to how my lack of boundaries was hurting me at work and in my relationships. I now understand the work I need to do - namely, to reparent myself and heal my codependency. I've learned there are no quick fixes to these things, but it's so worth it to do the work. I knew that working with Robin would be a good fit for me after I looked at her website. It was all about women's empowerment, and how to take control of your own life and become happy from the inside out. I knew I needed help in these areas. Specifically, I reached out because I was going through a breakup and wasn't sure what I should do in the next chapter of my life. I didn't know if I wanted to stay in the Bay Area or move back home to Kansas. I needed someone who had no biases on my life to help me sort out my thoughts, find myself, and figure out what I wanted. So I signed up for a consultation. Robin is one of those special people that comes into your life at at exactly the right moment for all the right reasons. It was I seeking her. Looking for a woman who could guide me to my next level of self love. I wanted to celebrate myself in a very personal way. I do not need facebook pictures or posts to make me feel deeply accepted by myself. I didn't need a long vacation on a beach wondering why I seem to want to move deeper into myself. Although, I really would love a long beachy vacation. My soul cried out for MORE...for REAL...for my HEART and SOUL to be parallel with my journey. To be strong enough to carry my body along my path. And where does one go, to find not only the self love we tend to lack; but how does one actually find that strength? Curious enough to answer truthfully, who we are. Allowing another strong, open minded, gifted, loving, spiritual woman...to simply say "Yes, you can, and I will show you the way."
