So, I called up C C Tailors and spoke to one of the most lovely and helpful ladies ever. She said that the shirts would be $11 apiece and, better yet, she could have them done in 2 days! We have dogs - walking mess makers - and we have Burke come out about once a year to undo the dirt and grime that living our life creates. They arrive on time, take the steps to ensure their hoses don't damage our painted walls or trim, they're detailed, efficient, and most importantly, do a fantastic job at a fair price. I can't say if they're the "cheapest" - they do very, very good work and for the time, care, and effort they put in, I think their charges are very reasonable. I can't tell you how disgusted (but pleased) I am with the murky coloured filth they pull out of our floors every year. The carpets look brand new every time they come out. The grout and tiles are restored to their original cream & grey colour every time. We have always been pleased, that's why we call them again, and again, and again to come into our home and undo a year's worth of ick and mess, and they do it with professionalism and attention to detail that is sorely lacking from folks today. Over the years the folks doing the work at Burke have changed, but everyone over the years has been excellent. Stephen (or maybe Steven? Apologies, I asked his name but didn't ask how it was spelled) was our technician yesterday. He was FANTASTIC. He's actually the reason I felt a sense of shame at our oversight for not reviewing Burke sooner. He was delightful to work with; an extremely hard worker who was here from 8:30 am to after 7pm, making sure everything was done, and done well. The extended hours were due to one of his nozzles breaking - he worked diligently all day - we were so impressed at his work ethic - but to address the nozzle issue, he left, went back to the shop to get another nozzle, came right back, and went right back to work. He could have easily asked to come back and finish another day since it was past quitting time, but he stayed late and did everything, paying attention to the details, working on stains until they came up, doing everything on the work order & completing it better than we could have imagined. We just can't say enough good things about Burke Carpet Cleaning, and technician Stephen, in particular. I'm embarrassed that after all these repeat business transactions that we waited so long to give public kudos where they were definitely due. We are more than happy to sing Burke Carpet Cleaning's praises, with special kudos to technician Stephen. His excellent work ethic and attention to detail were the highlight of our experience.

I have been going here since they opened and it has always been clean and nice but the last few…read moretimes I have been here things are starting to go down and the machines aren't clean they have caked up soap in them and a bunch of the fans don't work. Yesterday I went in and it was so damn hot in there. I asked the lady working and she said the AC is out and when I asked how long it's been this way she said for weeks. If I had not already put my clothes in the washer I would have left and gone somewhere else. The pour lady working there was so hot I felt very bad for her. I have met the owners several times and I can't believe they expect their employees to be able to work in this heat. It was at least 90 degrees inside that place. I'm not sure why they aren't fixing the AC but they should close until it if fixed this isn't a safe work environment and I'm sure the owner hasn't been up there doing anything since the AC is out. It is miserable inside there, I couldn't get my stuff dry and out of there fast enough and I was sweating and soaked when I left. This is very dangerous for the employees and customers in the Houston summer heat and no AC inside your business with dryers going. The owner and his wife should be up there every day there is no AC working right along side the ladies working and I bet that AC would be fixed real quick. They should be ashamed of themselves allowing this to go on for so long. There should alway be a sign on the door letting customers know the AC is not working.

He sat in a chair next to where I had my purse. He could've sat anywhere else, I felt very uncomfortable and went out to my car to wait, then he came outside looking for me. Once I knew my blankets were dry and went in to get them. He came back inside when I came back inside. I asked the attendant if the gentleman was there doing laundry and he said no, so the man was up to something. I quickly got my blankets out of the dryer made it to my car and left. This location is convenient close to home, but I don't feel safe going here alone anymore. Very sad.
