I showed up on time and was told to submit my husband's social security information along with our dental insurance. Strange, and contrary to what the prior admin had emphasized, we were ultimately not required to "pay upfront" although the staff did not provide reasoning for why different information was given. Is this part of the new patient screening process? The admins also seemed a bit judgmental for an office that routinely takes care of small children. But, the dentist seemed reasonably knowledgeable and efficient with his services. His staff could use some kindness training.

They have always been amazing. Although they can get busy at times, they still do their best to fit us in whenever possible. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and always honest and straightforward. The office is clean, and while the waiting area is small, it has never been an issue. Occasionally, other patients may be rude, but that is completely beyond the staff's control. Once you're brought to the back, the treatment rooms are spacious, which is especially helpful when accompanying my youngest child. The team has an immense amount of patience, something I truly appreciate firsthand. My son was not the easiest patient for several years, and they always made me feel comfortable--never embarrassed. I could say so many wonderful things about this office. We've been coming here for 12 years, and even though I live an hour away now, I've never even considered going anywhere else--that truly speaks volumes.

The office management is poor, it's literally like pulling teeth (pun intended) to get them to answer the phone. Their registration & sign-in process is disorganized. We are able to get early appointments so we can go before school. We haven't needed anything more then a checkup so not sure how the other procedures rate. The doctors are ok. Feels like they are kind of going thru the motions with patients. They give the kids prizes such as wall climbers which my son loves. I was a bit sad that the son doctor took care of my son this time and told him "Don't throw them on the wall or ceiling because they will stain". I told my son to stop but I probably should have said "Why give them to kids then".

The staff tried to sell me expensive cosmetic procedures while I had severe pain following a failed crown, instead of expressing any empathy regarding what I was actually experiencing. The dentist managing the procedure advised me to take something like Xanax before any future dental procedures, because I was an "anxious" patient. Having excruciating pain can make you anxious. I have a hunch they save the courteous and professional act for their wealthier patients.

Very bad experience with the front desk at the Rittenhouse location…read more I booked this place after a lot of research as I have a traumatic brain injury resulting in issues with my jaw/hearing etc and needed to ensure that the doctor has the right experience. I checked that the doc was covered by my insurance plan before booking and appt wait time was a month and a half. Day before my appt, I confirmed via text. The day of my appt, I got a call and confirmed I would be there again. Was asked to get there early to finish paper work. I got there 15 mins early and was rudely asked for my name- the person next to me was yelling and I couldnt be heard. I said as much and then was asked to finish the paperwork. After doing that I was told rudely that my insurance is not accepted and that the office had texted me. I checked my phone and had not received a text. I checked my insurance plan and showed the front desk again that the doctors name was listed. I was told rudely again with no apology that my insurance was not accepted and that my plan website must be wrong. No attempt was made to check again or apologize for the inconvenience. So now, I've: 1.Lost half a day of work 2. Cant use my annual check up before end of year cos its too late to get an appt with another dentist before the the end of the year 3. Front desk wasted my time by not checking my insurance prior to the appt (but a claim was made that i was texted- there was no text) 4. Front desk called me day of appt to confirm - couldve followed up on insurance then but they did not. 5. Made me finish my paperwork/registration - couldve followed up on insurance before I gave them my info but they did not. 6. And then reprimanded me for asking some basic questions about the insurance. 7. And then I had to hear the front desk women laugh amongst themselves about my appt. Even if my insurance covers this place, I wont be returning.
