A good range of the usual DIY, gardening, homewares and building type supplies is available with an out door gardening area as well. I have never had any trouble getting round the store, always finding it clutter free and clearly laid out even when I have had a pushchair with me. The staff have always been helpful and friendly and known exactly where to go when I have asked to find something or whether they sell something.

She came across as rude and arrogant. Cannot fault any other members of staff that I have had the pleasure of meeting in there. The shop itself is quite small. There isn't much room to move around if it is busy, especially at christmas when they have extra shelving out with cards, gifts and decorations. However with it being a smaller shop you do get a much better service. There's always a good selection of clothes, bags and shoes as well as DVDs, books and CDs. Sometimes they can be a little bit thin on mens and kids but its obviously just because that stuff hasn't been donated. This is definitely one of the friendliest charity shops in the locality, I just wish they would reeducate that one staff member on how to treat a paying customer.

One necessity when trying to sell a lot of sport's shoes however are staff members to help you try them on. A search from front to back of the job originally turned up just one poor harassed worker on a till at the back. Ridiculous reallyand felt guilty troubling them to find us someone. When we did finally get someone to help us they were fighting off other people who wanted assistance the whole time. To their credit they were very helpful and friendly in the face of such circumstance.

The store mainly has building supplies at what seem to be quite reasonable prices. The staff seem to be fairly knowledgeable about the shop and were helpful in finding anything that I could not find. Whickes are always worth a look if you are doing any building work.
