This Law Firm is a complete joke. When I brought my case to them, I was assigned to the very most junior of their attorneys, who didn't seem to know what she was doing whatsoever. They didn't listen to me about the blatant Uhls that my property manager was engaging in, which constituted damages well above and beyond the simple deposit that he was trying to steal from me. they did not to their due diligence. They did not fight for me either in negotiations or in court proceedings. In the end, I was told that I would at least get my deposit back and would only have to pay $200 for what became an almost year long and $28,000 nightmare. Then, they went back on that statement and started telling me that they no longer wanted to represent me after taking nearly $30,000 from me for doing nothing. These people are shysters and actually became adversarial to me when they were supposed to be representing me. Specifically, Kayla Benzali was so rude as to call me numerous times when I was going into surgery to argue with me about her lackluster performance and the terrible performance of her junior associate. I ended up retaining about $1000 of my deposit in my attorneys fees were paid for, however, the damage that I went through at the hands of this property manager, and the lack of Robinson & Henry to represent me in accordance with the cannons will remain a traumatic event for me for a long time to come. I just need to come back and update how truly incompetent, expensive and awful this law firm is. Since my last review, when I didn't think it could get any worse, I found out that there was a "data dump" to opposing counsel. What that amounts to is hundreds of our private emails were sent to OPPOSING COUNSEL!!!! Holy smokes. Just unreal. This alone should get them disbarred. This is in addition to a missed date that put us in contempt of court, a $20k estimate turning into $58k just to get to mediation which we could have done on our own, our attorney forgetting WHY we were in court to begin with, a bait and switch with attorneys that we contracted with, and lies, lies, lies and more lies but BOY do they know how to charge the exorbitant fees!! They refuse to make this right. Read ALL THESE AWFUL REVIEWS AND BELIEVE THEM. I didn't have anyone warn me. Don't make the same mistake. Me & partner hired this law firm to represent me in a civil lawsuit that should have been a quick resolution. The civil suit did not require much investigation and a court date was already on the calendar. When I engaged the firm, they advised me of the retainer fee, which was a couple thousand dollars and the fact that they thought the case was fairly straight forward and they would have no problem representing me. At that time, I had advised the firm that my court date was already set and time was of the essence to get this civil matter resolved. I paid the retainer fee and signed the contract and at no time during the initial conversation with the firm did they indicate that they were unable to get the issue resolved in a timely fashion. After the money was paid, the firm contacted the court and pushed out the court date several more weeks. The firm contacted me ONCE and we had a phone conversation and at that time, I had also forwarded documentations such as emails, texts messages and photos to support my position. During that conversation I was told that they had worked through the retainer fee and additional monies were going to need to be paid that were higher than the initial retainer fee. I asked for a copy of the billable hours and that documentation was not received. If Robinson and Henry was not able to honor the initial court date, that should have been conveyed to me at that time, as I would have continued to represent myself in this civil matter. Robinson and Henry advised me that there were no available court dates until August, 2 months from when we initially engaged them. At this time, I requested that they withdraw from my case. I contacted the courts myself and was able to obtain a court date in July, much earlier than what the firm advised. Even after communicating to the firm that time was of the essence and the longer this was prolonged, the more costly for both parties. Robinson and Henry took the money, but did not deliver on resolving my civil dispute in a timely manner, effectively only pushing back the court date and wasting time and resources. Please do your homework & look somewhere out for law firm. This firm is full of scammers & money hungry ( FOUSSENY OUWATTARA & Mamadou). read more

I contacted them about an issue with our HOA. They asked for a retainer up front, which I paid them. One of the lawyers met with me for 30 minutes and said they would send a simple demand letter. Two weeks later I'd heard nothing and followed up and got an email saying "he'd been thinking about writing the letter." Then I got an email from accounting with a bill. The charged me over $1200 to draft a simple demand letter. There was no research required. I responded that my retainer should cover that. They said I needed to replenish the retainer up to the amount I originally paid. I've dealt with many lawyers and never had anyone say this. I told him I wished to terminate my business and asked the remainder of the retainer be sent back. A month later I still haven't received the refund. Then I wrote a Google review about my experience and some guy in charge of operations contacted me. I told him what happened and he said nothing. He acted surprised I still wanted the remainder of my money back. He basically called me to get me to change the online review. I got no apology, no offer to send my money back, no discount for terrible service, nothing. I still haven't gotten my money back. Would never ever do business with them again. read more

Dale and Tia at Robinson & Henry are amazing! I was involved in a rear-end collision in November of 2018. The next morning in knew something wasn't right when I had difficulty driving to work. It unfortunately was my 4th concussion. After 6 months of continuing symptoms I choose to retain Dale and her team. Immediately Dale provided me with 2 resources: High Definition Physical Therapy and Atlas Brain and Spine. After only a couple of visits with Dan at High Definition I started to see the benefits. My headaches, dizziness, and nausea started to diminish. I met with Brittany at Atlas Brain and Spine. She performed a number of X-rays and it was determined that the Atlas in my neck was not setting correctly and it was causing the discomfort in neck and shoulders. It was also contributing to my headaches. Brittany and Dan worked in conjunction to develop a treatment plan that would best work for my concussion and it was amazing! I am a small subcontractor, and upon the initial consultation, we were assured they would do everything possible to keep our cost down, as we couldn't afford much, which was made known then.They gave us the impression that they were on our side. We inquired about either a fixed rate, & contingency, but were told these aren't available. We'll, on their site it says fixed rates are available. We were given a proposal of settlement at the very beginning of our case from opposition with literally 1 or 2 stipulation details that needed to be finalized. We paid R&H a 3k retainer, and the very 1st billing we received was over 2k. We immediately informed them we needed to shut this down by any means as we can't afford to pursue the money owed to us by opposition. You would absolutely not believe how many things billed to us, including billing the same items more than even 2 or 3 times 'Review, Comment,Respond,Upload,Download,Revise are their favorite words. Another example, after 4 emails for well over a month asking about the status of the case, we were charged for responding on why they had delayed! They waited until the court-ordered deadline (the day of!) so they could maximize on billing. We also were charged for the lawyer assigned to"confer" with her supervisor, for her time and his time, & they must usually deal with people with 'stupid' on their forehead as for instance charging 45 minutes to 'review & leave a voicemail' .this case shouldn't have costed me more than 5k. Would you like to know what their billing reflects? - $15 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I disputed literally 75% of billing as once they reviewed, even they admitted that a lot of the billing descriptions were "vague" , offering $800 credit. But you know what I got for that? Thousands more in billing for completed tasks already billed for! I have never been taken advantage of to this degree & wouldn't wish R&H on my worst enemy. I hired R&H to help me with a seller's property disclosure dispute. The attorney that was assigned my case did not have the experience to handle my case effectively and I was ultimately reassigned to another attorney. But not before attorney #1 billed 4Xs the estimate that I was quoted by the partner, Boyd. Boyd seemed so nice in his corporate promo video and in our initial meeting but when it came time to voice my dissatisfaction, he was aggressive and very unsympathetic to my situation; what a liar. Attorney #2 then billed $3K before I ever agreed to hire her and after telling me that I would not be charged for her to learn everything attorney #1 knew and did with the dispute. She also attempted to make contact with my witness without my consent. Hiring this firm was a total fail on my part. My divorce was very expensive to began with. But that is a given if it is not amicable. My first lawyer didn't file a motion that we talked about. He then told me to contact some type of mediator myself. She kind of freaked out that I called her and that the lawyer told me to call her. He was removed from my case. The second lawyer told me that future amendment didn't cost that much. Me and the X had already agreed on a change in the child support. It just needed filed. Due to constant emails with the lawyer and billing me for both the paralegal and the lawyer reading them. And of course billing me for them talking about it. Steven Whitmore was rude and condescending on two different occasions when we pressed him for accountability of the time, money and progress of her case. I let my friend know that this treatment is unprofessional and abusive. I've never witnessed such hostile treatment in a professional environment. Don Eby wasn't any better, he refused to take our conference call and offer any resolution. He let my Spanish speaking friend know that he would not speak to her if she had her own interpreter; only someone from his office. She took her case elsewhere. read more

Had a terrible experience with this firm. "Wrote" my prenup which had typos a 4th grader wouldn't have made. I also had it looked over by another attorney who said it was the worst prenup she had ever seen. There were clauses that contradicted each other. This is mind-boggling when I had to pay $400 an hour and spent thousands. Just when I thought we were done, their paralegal reached out and told me we needed to go through everything again. When I complained, they sent me an email letting me know "I can call them if I have a problem." They request a retainer slight more than other firms but plan of action makes you think you have a credible firm. Attorney Alicia Reinken doesn't communicate the case as promised. She missed deadlines in which our case was almost dismissed. When we received our bill it billed a ton of hours to review records from other party and communication to other party's counsel. We asked about the documents she reviewed but suddenly the Dropbox she reviewed then the other party's counsel deactivated and she would have to request again. Why were they not saved! We believe she used our retainer for work never done, we didn't have money to add to our retainer so, they filed s motion to withdrawal. We retained new who is credible! This was a horrible experience. Not only was there little, and unfriendly communication. My hired lawyer didn't even show up on my court date, instead sent someone else. Then I found out later she quit. When I had questions about my settlement and follow up they seemed irritated, uninterested and bothered. In fact, I had to make personal phone calls to settle things because I couldn't get a response back. I paid more for services than any other person I know, and the process was so much more difficult. Do not under any circumstances use this law office. . They gave me an estimate to write one letter and they went way over that estimate. ( by 5 times) It took them forever to write this simple letter. They charged me for asking about the status of the letter after it had been forever. Finally the letter went out and the deadline for responding had passed, they charged me for asking if they had gotten a response. I was done. They charged me for responding to my "we are done" email. The recipient of the letter responded long after the deadline and they falsely stated that the oppostion was ready to give me money. If they knew or cared about the case they would have known it had nothing to do with money, just a lien. And they will call you the day you get an invooice and demand payment. They will call numerous times in one day. I overpaid them due to this hounding. It took them over 4 months to reimburse me. STAY AWAY from these folks. read more

I'd give less stars if I could. We are in the middle of an UNCONTESTED Step Parent adoption. We started this in September of 2018 and were required to pay a flat fee- which we did. I've had three representatives since then. The first one left within 2 weeks of starting our case. The second one was fired (which we only found out after weeks of emailing with no response from her) and "was not authorized to contact us" in the first place. She also got our case confused with someone else's. The current one got defensive when I asked for a status update and told me that he just started "last week" and I had to remind him that we spoke over a month ago and resend him an email HE sent me. This is an extremely easy case and we can't even find out the current status. Do NOT use these guys. read more

This firm misrepresents what it's "free initial consultation" really means. I was told that the "free initial consultation" is nothing more than a "get to know you" meeting and that they would not discuss your case or give you any advice during this meeting. Based on that, I ended up paying $350 for a one hour consultation with Donald Eby. That is ridiculous since you can pay that and go to one of the most experienced real estate attorneys in Colorado for an hour of consultation. Mr. Eby is certainly not one of the most experienced real estate attorneys in Colorado. During my consultation, I got the distinct feeling that Mr. Eby was more interested in representing the other side then he was me. I am a real believer in getting what you pay for and I walked away from this meeting with the feeling I had been scammed. read more

While my experience was with HOA attorneys I do want to compliment family law attorney Valerie Malara at RH. She was representing the ex-husband of a friend of mine. I sat in court for most of the trial. The ex-husband had done some bad things to their young children. What I applaud Valerie on is that she focused on the facts and did not personally attack my friend to create a smokescreen for her client. (And my friend's attorney did the same.) We need more attorneys like Valerie. As a result of receiving a full refund and of my observation with Valerie I have upgraded my rating of RH to four stars. read more

In May of 2015 I sought this firm's help to resolve an IRS complaint against me. In fairness, it started out well with Mr. Bohall (associate), but has dragged on for over a year - a combination of both IRS and the firm's unresponsiveness. The IRS delay is an expected and well-known tactic; the firm's unresponsiveness to my simple requests (e.g., copies of paperwork filed) is unacceptable. The firm is QUICK to invoice for EVERY paperclip and pencil lead, but can't seem to answer emails or phone messages without multiple attempts from me, and then bills for each minute. I paid them THOUSANDS of dollars up front, plus several thousand more as the case continued; when I quit communicating with them (therefore, no new work should be done on my case without my knowledge) the invoices continued coming, for copying, filing, re-copying, re-filing, phone calls with the IRS case manager that I knew nothing about and was not briefed, either before or after. Seems as long as they believe they've hooked a cash-cow, progress slows but the billing is as regular as a Swiss watch. After a few months of not paying their invoices, I met with Mr. Henry face to face to discuss my complaints. He assured me he would resolve them and we agreed to a payment plan as I was over $3k in arrears. Not a month later I received two large envelopes in the mail - one contained my entire file and the other a photocopy of the same. Each was accompanied by a letter to me from Mr. Bohall explaining that since my account was in arrears the firm would no longer represent me until the balance had been paid in full and a deposit/stipend was paid to continue the work. While the firm has done nothing illegal or unethical, as far as I know, they miss the mark on a much larger issue - they have no honor. They don't do the honorable thing and they don't honor their own word. I don't conduct business with dishonorable people/firms - I suggest you not do business with this firm, too. read more

I went to a "Free Consultation" with Mr. Eby because he was recommended as a "Super Lawyer". I should have read the Yelp Reviews first. I did not receive a confirmation for this appointment from the Law Office and when I called to request it, I was told it had been sent to my cell phone but 32 minutes later I still had not received it. So I called back and requested the address in Castle Rock to confirm. This was at 11:37am. I was then given the address and I wrote it down. Since my son was driving me, and he had to leave work to take me from Parker to Castle Rock, we were delayed. It was not until 12:47pm that I received directions on my cell from Google Maps for the Robinson &Henry Law Office for a 1:30pm appointment. My son and I left Parker at 1:15pm. We would have made it on time, but the law office called me at 12:30pm and we subsequently lost the map, which I did not realize until I hung up. (Stupid Google and Stupid phone). We then had to call back at 12:44 pm to ask for the real address which had not ever been texted directly to my phone number. We finally made it to the Law office and were then asked to wait for Mr. Eby because he was with another client. So we did. When he came to meet us, he looked much older than his picture on the website. Like 30 years older. I apologized for our late arrival, and began explaining my case. Mr. Eby responded in a very condescending manner and began arguing with me. I had done a lot of research before I went to his Law Office, and I had also turned down other Attorneys who had approached me about taking my high dollar case. I knew I had a very good case and I had brought documents to prove it. He made me feel very uncomfortable with his remarks. I am an educated and intelligent person, and I know how to read. Not only lawyers know how to read. Or write. I cut the meeting short with a pleasant goodbye and we were back on the road by 2:25pm. At 2:27pm. I got the directions in a text message from the Law Office that I had requested at 11:37 am. If Robinson & Henry pays as much attention to Court deadlines as they do to providing directions to their office, any case they have could be in real trouble! read more
