There was a long wait on hold. Fine, they could be short-staffed. A rude-sounding lady eventually questioned me on which doctor I wanted to see although I'm sure I asked about the time it takes to schedule with Dr. Robinson. Plus, this site only mentions Dr. Robinson. She asked if I had been there before. I said no. She asked for my name and D.O.B. I asked why she asked (since I had not been there before I knew she would not find me in their system). She said if I had been to see any doctor in the area they would not be able to see me. She also told me that the first appointment with him was telemedicine. What? So how is that going to help him see what is going on with me physically - like touching my stomach area? He's good and his nurse that did my manomentry test was nervous because of a previous tech ripping out a untangled tube. I told her I could tell she Would be fine because I coukd tell she would at least be aware of the last 2 that were very unpleasant that left a hole in my cartilage throat and I vomited lots of blood . The prior doctor siddique thought it was funny that my hole in throat that whistled at night when I laid down He said " tape it " it will be music to my ears .. Thank God I found Dr Robinson who sent me to the Mayo Hospital In Florida, that's when I met Dr Bowers and they let me work out my own schedule and did tests back to back instead of running around like before to all kinds of doctors . Achalasia was healed but Dr Stephan Bowers forever grateful and when I got home he even supported me to tell the doctors to give me a test when they did not think throwing up blood and screaming the worst pain in my life just by drinking water was valid I got a GI tear and they wanted to send me home even after I showed them pictures of the blood of just one hospital tray but they said I wasn't Anemic from blood test enough ???????? What ? I have a tear ? I called Dr Bowers and he had the brains to tell them give her a endoscopic !! Then my other doctor on call demands who fixed me??? Then says " I can do it today but I want all the doctors eyes on you " Wow , even doctors came in to meet me or show me inventions As a woman in Fremont three one nice doctor out and said" she needs her rest" But he was a Happy Doctor wanting you help out patients in a whole different field . I've seen the Good , very good bed side manners And even doctors showing me how other radiologists have misdiagnosed my xrays That led to serious problems ahead in my life . Dr. Robinson and his staff ARE as good as it gets. He listens, he remembers, he treats, he cares. I have spoken with staff who have been with him 14 years who love working for him. He is kind to staff as well as his patients. He has gone out of his way to consult with other specialists about my husband's complicated condition to ensure they are all on the same page. I came to Dr. Robinson with severe cramps that every other doctor had dismissed as IBS and I was sure was something else. Dr. Robinson was a great listener and really made me feel like he cared about how I was feeling asking a ton of questions to figure out what could be causing my pain. He was particular in the exams he requested and he explained every procedure. After several weeks, during which either he or his assistant were in constant touch and answered all my questions, he finally figured out what I had. It's been nearly 6 months I've had no reason to go back to him again and it's to his credit because he made sure what was affecting me was cured. He's patient and he listens. After a horrific experience with another doctor, and being in extreme pain, his office got me into see his Physician Assistant right away. They scheduled an endoscopy for the next business day. He took the time to talk with my husband and explain what he was seeing. He then called me after the biopsy results were in, and he spent 20 MINUTES with me on the phone. My husband and I love love love Dr. Robinson! My husband has Crohn's and was in the St. Davids Round Rock hospital in Dec where among other docs, he met Dr. Robinson. He really liked him so as soon as he got out, he changed his former military GI doc to him. My husband is prior military and although we've seen about 3 docs at Ft. Hood none were as good as Dr. Robinson. He explains everything, answers your questions, explores other courses of treatment before going for the most aggressive one and is always available to talk to you. Unfortunately since December my husband had some more health issues so we found ourselves needing to call Dr. Robinson's office more than a few times. His nurse April always calls us back within a couple of hours, is the friendliest person ever and so nice! Not to mention if you have problems and pains they try to squeeze you between appointments that same day. We couldn't be happier with the level of care they give my husband!!! read more
