Took good care of her really were sincerely interested in her well-being. About a year and a half later she had a terrible stroke and went to the hospital. Parkland said let's bring her home because you have eight brothers and sisters and we'll have a hospital bed and a 24 hour nurse so you guys can visit with your mother. She passed a week later, and everyone in the family got to see her, or get a telephone conference, to say they loved her. We highly recommend Parkland memory care for your consideration.

Through experience I have come to believe that staff turnover is highly correlated to quality and consistency of care. As I searched I was looking for an intimate and clean setting with low staff turnover as an indicator that the staff were happy in their job and therefore capable of providing consistent high quality care. Many, if not most at Parkland have been there 5-6 years. It was no contest. Parkland is a great facility, built specifically for memory care patients. What truly impresses, though, is the caring, attentive nature of the staff...and I mean everyone from the executive director to the caregivers!! They actively engage the residents and are kind, attentive and respectful. I am so happy I made the choice to take her to Parkland. She recently passed but loved her time there, especially loved the staff and the residents. If you have choice, you need to look at Parkland first. Incredible!

She took a video of the apartment for me so I could show my mom before she moved. Kim at the front desk was so helpful with everything I needed and the Director of Assisted Living, Keri Giles was always available to address anything I had concerns over with my mom. Everything changed in November of 2025 when the new Director, Alexondra came on board. I decided to relocate my mom after the holidays and gave the 30 day required notice December 31 to be moved out by January 31. I receive a call from the Director on January 5 that I need to move my mom into their memory care immediately. WHAT? I inform her my mom is moving out January 21 literally in 2 weeks. She told me it didn't matter I must move her into memory care or get 24-7 care for her. She's in assisted living! Needless to say I was able to move her to another assisted living facility where she is receiving true assisted living. Be very careful if you choose this facility. After moving out I personally cleaned the apartment and it was filthy even though housekeeping cleaned once a week. I then received a bill for carpet replacement. I was speechless. The building is attractive, the fireplaces and cozy seating areas are inviting, and the residents themselves are friendly and neighborly. Most of the care staff were pleasant, and the front desk team was consistently welcoming. Unfortunately, nearly everything beyond the lobby failed to meet even basic expectations. Communication and transparency were persistent problems. Caregivers often did not seem to have clear instructions, and changes in care levels were not communicated or discussed appropriately. Housekeeping was unreliable and inconsistent. Weekly cleanings were frequently missed -- sometimes for three consecutive weeks -- with no adjustment to the monthly fee, despite housekeeping being included in the monthly rent. When staff did come, the work was inconsistent: vacuuming was skipped, trash was left unemptied, and overall attention to detail was poor. These ongoing issues, in our opinion, ultimately resulted in an additional move-out charge for carpet replacement that the facility claimed "could not be cleaned," despite the inconsistent housekeeping throughout the stay. Billing required constant vigilance. Several times, incorrect charges appeared on the bill and had to be disputed. After moving my mom out, charges were applied for items that should reasonably fall under standard wear and tear, and apartment preparation for the next resident. Dining was another weak point. The food was of poor quality and offered a limited selection, falling short of what families expect from a community at this price point. During my mom's time here, there were changes in management and administration, but these shifts did not improve communication, consistency, or accountability. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend avoiding a Spectrum owned community. While the building may look warm and welcoming, the operational issues, lack of transparency, inconsistent care, and questionable billing practices overshadow everything else. Families should be prepared to scrutinize every bill and follow up repeatedly -- or, better yet, look elsewhere.

They earned the trust of both my mother (currently 92) and myself. I live in California and knowing that I could trust Monica and Lisa to look out for my mother and I could contact them at any time was my highest priority. The team of caregivers lead by Monica and Lisa were caring and giving. They did the daily tasks well of making sure my mother was comfortable, safe, consistent with her prescriptions and provided companionship. They did the special emergency situations exceptionally well, changing their schedule to deal with falls and accompanying my mother to the hospital. My Mother-in-law received fantastic long term Hospice care at her assisted living facilities from all her Nurses that were assigned to her. When we had to move her to different Assisted Living facilities due to her needing higher levels of care, because of her severe Dementia, they followed her to each facility. They continued to provide her with fantastic care of her for well over a year. Their nurses were nothing short of fantastic. Their Social worker also assisted us with applying and obtaining Arizona Long Term Care Assistance when she needed it, as she ran out of money towards the end. I can not stress enough, that not all Hospice Care companies are the same in the Phoenix area. Sapphire Hospice is Top Rated compared to other Hospice companies that service our elderly. I learned this when other assisted residents relatives, would see the incredible A+ service my mother-in-law was receiving from Sapphire Hospice Nurses and CNA's as compared to their relatives receiving substantially less long term Hospice care with other Hospice care companies. This became so evident that many other assisted living relatives, changed their Hospice care for their loved ones to Sapphire Hospice. She had severe dementia and she liked to wonder off the premises a lot. The care she received from all the staff was truly amazing!!! Staff physically saw her 2 to three times a week and they phoned me with an update every time they saw her. They were very patient and professional. When my mom needed to be seen every day for what ever reason they did so. For a short time period my mom was at a very very bad memory care facility that I was not aware as to how bad they were. So for three weeks the only care my mom received was from Sapphire Hospice!!! The facility was not feeding, bathing, giving my mom her medication or doing her laundry. If it wasn't for Sapphire Hospice staff my mom would have died at that facility. With Sapphire Hospice staff assistance I found a group home for my mom that actually cared for her. Not all Hospice are the same. If you want an amazing experience try Sapphire Hospice!!!

Met with the owner Traci, and it seems great service trickles down. They were able to start service at the last minute and were extremely accommodating. Traci was also helpful with referring various other services for my aging parents such as maid service and medication management. While we will continue to use their service going forward, I would not hesitate in the slightest to recommend them to friends and family. Do yourself a favor and call Sunland first, I promise you will save yourself a lot of time and aggravation.

Ive tried numerous times for over a week to get ahold of someome in management. I was asked by your company to schedule an interview on the website that had a non active calender. I called was told i was speaking to a gracie, she had no customer service, did not know who was in chare when I asked. Was very dismissive and unprofessional to an aspired employee. From what I have read and seen throughout your reviews this isn't a company problem but a bad seed problem. If you are actively hiring and looking to hired Id suggest hiring someone who cares about the quality of customer service experience their delivering to who they speak with your phones.
