Eggplant Parmesan sub is literally one of the best in the area. Perfectly prepared with just the right amount of sauce and cheese paired with the scali roll is the chef's kiss. I've also tried their salads and other subs and have never had anything that wasn't sheer perfection. read more

Pizza was too crispy for my taste, ordered mushroom and hot pepper both were "wet" add ins so maybe that's why the pizza was "floppy" even being over cooked. Cannoli was excellent. Pizza could have used a little more cheese. read more

Unimpressed. Chicken parm sub had chewy meat, the caprese salad didn't come close to resembling a caprese dish. I was told the chicken tenders I ordered wouldn't be ready for another 20 minutes (I was quoted 30 minutes for my food to be prepared and showed up to pick up my order after 25 minutes). This place is a hidden little gem. Food is terrific, from sandwiches, soup, pizza or subs - they are all good. Reasonable pricing. Parking can be tough, but I don't hold the restaurant accountable for that. read more

I've gotten take-out from Rocco's a few times, and I've never been disappointed. I've had both subs and pizzas, and the quality is superb. I live in Hanson, and there's nothing here in town that compares to it. It's just a short ride into Hanover, so I'll continue to go to Rocco's whenever I want good Italian food. Rocco's is now a way of life for us. In fact, I am literally eating an Italian sub from there while I write this. 5 star may seem inflated, but I am rating it against the category of dining it is - pizzeria. That said, I would pit some of their pasta dishes against Italian restaurants in the area. Their squash ravioli in amaretto sauce is wonderful. Mainly we go there for subs and pizza, but occasionally get something new. Only once has the pizza been meh. Usually it's hot, fresh, and cooked just right. I don't know where they get their braided sub rolls, but they are fantastic. I've had a few of their subs, different pizza toppings, and both styles of pizza they serve. I've also had their cannoli (two thumbs up) and a few of the other dessert options. The cannoli are on-prem, but the others are ordered in. The tiramisu, when fresh, is incredible. One thing I love about Rocco's is they are always punctual with the food. Also, for those of you who haven't been in for a while, they now accept credit cards. Bonus. read more

Ordered 2 Chicken Elissa (best dish) on Friday night and had difficulty with my bank card as I was on the phone with the bank (over 25 mins), the young girl came out to the car with our dinner and said to go home and eat our food while it was hot and comeback to pay whenever we can, no rush. They did not skimp on the toppings, they put on the perfect ratio of toppings to cheese and sauce for the pizza. A++ Broccoli Chicken Ziti - Plenty of chicken cooked just right to tenderness. But not over done. The ratio of chicken to broccoli, sauce and ziti was perfect. The sauce was just right. it was uplifting to eat this perfectly done Broccoli Chicken Ziti with Alfredo sauce. A++. This is by far the best pizza I've had in the area. Most places around here are just standard cheap pizza which can be fine, but this is like real authentic Italian pizza with homemade sauce, fresh toppings, and the perfect crispy and chewy crust. We love Roccos. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistently good. The only thing I would suggest is if you like a little more cheese on your pizza, ask for extra cheese. Roccos is great. We have a tried a variety of their food and also have had them cater a party. My go to is always their steak bomb, sausage pepper onion sub, or the fried eggplant ricotta cheese pizza. Their chicken broccoli ziti is great too. The food is by far 5 stars in my book. Everything is freshly prepared with top shelf ingredients. The owners and employees are extremely pleasant. The dishes they serve make you feel like you are in the north end. The only reason I do not give them 5 stars is because the pizza, although being good, is a bit pricey. Especially the Sicilian. It says is feeds more than it actually can. Realistically it only feeds two at best. The rest of the food is reasonably priced. The eat in conditions I was thinking was strange but the more I think about it is that the food is so good you expect to be eating it in a larger restaurant. Rocco's is by far best pizza around this area. Italian style thin crust or Sicilian square pan pizza. Ingredients are all what you'd get in the north end. The subs are great too, I love the sausage or Italian. Everything is homemade and made to order so takes longer then some places but worth it! read more

We've been searching for a really good local pizza shop since I fell out of love with Hanover House of Pizza (see review) and decided last Saturday to try Rocco's, so embarrassingly close to home we should be ashamed for not having gone there before. Really just down the street and a right on Broadway, next to Myette's. While we usually accompany a two-topping pizza with a Greek salad - either from the pizza place or made at home - we felt that the special "The Rocco" had so much on it that a salad would be superfluous. Good call, because the pizza was not only large, but also smothered in a variety of meats, onions, and peppers. Very impressed with the crust - great texture and chewiness - and the quantity and quality of the toppings. Will definitely be back for another take-out, but perhaps just a 2-topping pizza next time...and a salad. read more

I just got an Italian Sub.. So so at best. But I think it would have scored big if they put some meat in it! BIG husky roll with very little meat. All I could taste was bread. I drive by this place often, but have never stopped in before today due to their cash only policy - I rarely carry cash. My husband and I ordered subs to go, when it was empty it still took 15 minutes for them to make the subs. Granted they are not fast food - but I wasn't expecting that long of a wait for take out subs. I ordered a steak bomb, and my husband, a sausage and pepper sub. My sub was wrapped a few minutes prior to my husband's being completed, and we took them home to eat immediately. By the time we got home 5 minutes later, half of my roll was soggy to the point of being almost inedible, and there was grease dripping out of the bag from my sub as well. I also found it strange that despite being made at the same time, his was made in a different bulkie roll than mine. His variety held up better with the grease. The contents of the sub were good, primarily steak, decent amount of peppers and onion, not enough cheese for my taste. Overall, decent sub fillings, but I don't think I'll be going back. A sub roll being soggy, from grease no less, no more than 10 minutes after being made, not okay. read more

Great food, a little off the beaten path which makes us forget about them when we are deciding where we go for lunch take -out at work. Subs and pasta are excellent, but their pizza is phenomenal. Thin with soft pillowy crust and is perfectly cooked with excellent quality ingredients. The spinach, garlic, and oil with white sauce is my current favorite. read more
