I highly recommend Rochester Endodontics. This practice made a bad situation (needing a root canal) into a pleasure. Madison who answered my calls was so sweet and helpful getting me in to see the doctor. Heather and the women at the front were so kind and friendly and really put me at ease as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Dow is very knowledeable, funny and kind (and easy on the eyes too- wink). I loved him and would recommend him to anyone. The whole procedure was quick and painless. (I couldn't believe it). A very sweet women gave me my after care instructions and followed up with me the next day to make sure I was still feeling good (which I was of course). They really care about their patients here. If you need a root canal, go to Dr. Dow. From the moment I made my first call, a very bad situation was made better. I was brought in very quickly for a consult ( the very next day after seeing my dentist in fact). An appointment for a retreatment of a failed root canal ( by another endodentist ) was held for me for the very next day. Dr. Dow found the 'hidden' root that was infected ( and missed by another practice). Everyone associated with this group is compassionate and your comfort is their primary concern. Root Canal? - NO PAIN! Unheard of! - Not with Dr. Kyle Saisselin! I had a horrific experience that left me very apprehensive. But this experience was completely different! My phone call was answered by Nicky who answered all my questions with patience and understanding. She provided reassurance for my fears and gave me a total breakdown of costs over the phone - so no surprises! The day before my appointment, Nicky called to remind me and when I showed up she greeted me with warmth like she knew me for years. Next came Donna, Dr. Saisselin's assistant. She added another layer of kindness and compassion - answering questions and sharing information on the procedure so I knew what to expect. Her knowledge and gentle handling of equipment made me relax and put me at ease. Dr. Saisselin introduced himself and allowed me to share my concerns about what I was feeling. He was thorough in explaining what he would do. Anytime I had questions, even during the procedure, he would stop and listen and answer me - with patience and without judgement - always with a desire to ensure I was comfortable. His professionalism, "bedside" manner, and expertise were superb. I will never have my general dentist perform the work of an endodontic. It just doesn't make sense. Dr. Saisselin has equipment that provides much better access in performing the procedure and makes it more comfortable for patients. I have to mention the NO PAIN issue. Dr. Saisselin uses multiple local anesthetics to ensure the maximum level of comfort. Injections are eased into the skin - not jammed or forced. My regular dentist had been jamming the needle into the back of my mouth, I could feel a crunching sensation as she pushed the anesthetic into my gum. It was not pleasant. My entire body tensed. She was very apologetic saying, "I'm so sorry, I know it hurts but that's how I know I've got it in the correct location." REALLY?! What was I thinking!? So, coming in to meet Dr. Saisselin for the first time and sitting for a root canal, I was waiting for the painful injection. But THAT'S NOT HOW HE WORKS! He numbs you first with a citrus topical for a little bit before any needle. And, he's very slow with the first injection and works it while rubbing the cheek to keep any discomfort to a minimum. I told him he should give lessons on how to administer anesthetics. This experience made me realize I don't have to be in pain when having dental work and gave me reason to change dentists! Thank you, Dr. Saisselin. You, Nicky, and Donna made a very uncomfortable and painful situation bearable. While traveling around the United States visiting family, I encountered the need of dental services. I was referred to Dr. Dow for consultation. I was treated with concern and wonderful service not only by Dr. Dow, but his whole caring staff. No one wants dental work while vacationing, but if you need an endodontist, this office is highly recommended! Their follow up was superior. read more

Heads up here. Going to get a root canal is scary enough without knowing the person you have been referred to. Add that to pain, cost and the unknown and it's more than stressful. Fear not as Dr. Saisselin is good to talk to first and foremost answering any questions. The staff work with you not against you. They get you in quick and the Dr. makes sure you are completely comfortable. So much so that with just a local, I fell asleep. My wife had this similar experience. The office keys you know what payments are expected up front, they take Excellus as well as offer care credit with no interest features if you want that option. With others being booked out for months, this is worth traveling to and the endodontist to go see if on the East side of the Roc Metroplex. I think it's worth the extra drive even if you live in the West side. Relaxed and so easy to work with. Now my only choice when it comes to root canals or issues the family dentist should not be doing themselves. A true specialist. read more

Horrible! Would rank negative stars if I could. Ive had some issues with my teeth for a while. I usually get 1 or 2 things taken care of per year, but with a recent move from out of state and covid I haven't been Able to get any work done in nearly 2 years. I got the referral to Rochester endodontics and I go to check in and the receptionist actually laughed at me when I said I needed 3 teeth examined. She then went on to tell me it would be "at least $1900 per tooth and at least $350 for today's exam" she said all this without even looking at my insurance info. Horrible attitude and made me feel embarrassed. I then went to just sit down and wait my turn. While I was still in earshot she turned to her coworkers and said "wow he needs a lot of teeth fixed!" I can't explain how unprofessional that is and how that made me feel. Why do you think I am even here? It's to get help and you treat me this way? Just wow. I will never go back! read more

Yesterday I saw Dr. Kyle Saisselin for an emergency root canal. I have terrible panic attacks when I have to see a dentist so I usually don't have great experiences. Yesterday was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Dr. Saisselin is extremely patient & painless. Everyone in the office is wonderful. I highly recommend this practice. They fit me in when I needed it (even tho I wasn't their patient), managed to calm my fears, did a beautiful job & saved my tooth. I can't say enough about this entire office. read more

When my regular dentist told me that I needed a "root canal" I cringed and my jaw dropped. I had 2 root canal's done when I was a kid and I was in horrific pain for days afterwards. With Dr Saisselin...it was beyond my wildest expectations. He and his professional staff were off the charts. I couldn't believe I was actually having a root canal done. From the start, they were professional. They made me feel comfortable and numbed up the area nicely. The whole procedure was done under a microscope. I was really impressed w/how professional his assistant was. It was like the right hand knew what the left hand needed before they needed it. I couldn't believe I was having a root canal done w/no pain. And there was no pain whatsoever after the procedure. In the end we had some good laughs comparing what people think about going for root canal vs. just about anything unpleasant. Their bedside manner was outstanding.
