Ok so Rock 30 is clearly an awesome place that has tons of awesome retro games. I wish that I could just drive to one of their locations, walk in and buy up all the awesome stuff that I need, but since I live in CA the only option I have is to have my items shipped.... Which sucks, but it is what it is. It took a little over a week to get my item after paying for expedited shipping which I fell is a bit too long, but I received the game (which was overpriced, but somewhat rare so I guess I cant complain), CIB, in great condition and I absolutely love it. They also packaged it very well and even sent a Roc 30 sticker which is cool because I collect game store stickers. I also ordered a game from them Through TEMU so I am curious to see if how long it will take to receive it and if i might have wasted $$ on the expedited shipping. read more

this is my first and my only time doing business with these guys not only did I have to wait an extra week for my shipment to reach me they do not sell what is advertised apparently. I ordered a xbox console listed as (like new/working) and when I FINALLY received it I realized not only did I waste my hard earned money I sweated my nuts off for , i wasted my fuckin time . read more

Most of my retro games come from rock 30 I've only had one problem there. They have a great selection of games for the PS3, Xbox, PS2, and N64 in Grand Forks and Fargo. This is my favorite store in grand forks. Overall if you're going to get retro games get them from rock 30. read more

Best retro game place in town. Lots of new stuff too. I could have spent hours in there. The customer service there is amazing. They are willing to talk to you about any gaming topic, but it never seems forced. Their club deals are outstanding, and there disc golf selection (got interested because of this place) is top notch. As an avid gamer, I appreciate the smaller stores for their "gamer first" mentality, and I appreciate the large chains for the better deals...this place seems to have the best of both worlds. read more

Rock 30 Games... How to describe it.. Basically, you take Game Stop and add awesome retro games, like the NES, SNES, and even Sega, plus a wall full of movies at bargain prices, and "frofling" (frizz bee golfing), and you get Rock 30 Games. Some of the many services they offer there include selling and trading in used games, fixing and refurbishing used consoles (like the Xbox or Nintendo Wii), and cleaning discs of games, movies and CD's. Plus, amazing customer service! Their selection of games is much more diverse than Best Buy and Game Stop as well. Game Stop and Best Buy only offer games from the most recent release of console, such as Xbox and Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Playstation 2-3. Rock 30 Games has all of those, plus the Nintendo 64, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Playstation original, and more. I was very impressed with the selection of games, from Xbox to Game Boy Color. Personally, I'm not a gamer, but I go with my friends who are gamers and they are highly impressed with the selection, and the service. The employees there are very helpful and knowledgeable about their games, movies and other merchandise. If you are looking for a game or movie that is not in stock in the store, they are always willing to find it at other stores across North Dakota and order it for you. Since I am not a gamer like most of my friends, I mainly go there to shop for movies and TV show seasons that are on DVD. They have a wonderful selection of movies that you don't normally find in Walmart or Target, at amazing prices. So far I have found an assortment of movies that I had been looking for online and at other stores, and I have gotten them at great prices compared to what I could get them for online. One of my most recent experiences there, I found a DVD of a TV show that I watch and collect volumes of, that I hadn't been able to find in any other store except Best Buy for over $20. They had the price as $10 on the sticker, but when I went up to purchase it, they had to look up the bar code numbers for it, and found it online for $7, so they gave me that price instead. I was highly satisfied! It saved me almost $13 from the price I could have bought it for at Best Buy. I give it a 5 out of 5! I really love shopping there, and highly recommend shopping there and trading in games there too. read more

Great customer service, prices, selection on videogames and frolf discs. So much Nintendo swag, I wish I could buy the whole store. The manager(I'm assuming, he's always there) is very helpful and knowledgeable of the products. Forget GameStop and go to Rock30 instead! read more

so, I went to rock 30 games today with my boyfriend so he could get a used n64 controller for melee ~ him and the guy at the counter started arguing heatedly about controller specifications as my bf messed around with their controller. The argument intensified as the counter guy said "we test all our controllers and they're all good", cauz' the bf wanted to bring in a setup to try all 8 controllers, but they wouldn't let him and conferred he could bring the controller back if it didn't suit him. The Rock30 Games in Minot doesn't even let you touch the controllers - they're bagged up and 'you get what you buy', but my bf was livid. After being passionately yelled at by my boyfriend when I tried to insist that arguing with the counter guy wasn't necessary, we drove an hour home in silence, then he slammed the car door and stomped into the game room to fuddle with melee mechanics. FYI to the counter guy ~ who cares really? Working in a business, you represent the business and the customer is always right, otherwise this stuff happens and you didn't need to provoke it. read more
