I was out for a walk and found a crawfish boil. Great food and a great price. We love Red Lodge.

We stopped into Proof Donuts while in Billings and thought it was a fun spot to try…read more The donuts are creative and visually appealing, with a variety of flavors that make it easy to want to try more than one. That said, they do lean pretty sweet, so it can feel like a lot, especially if you are ordering a full box. The donuts we had were good, but they did not taste as fresh as I would have expected, which took away a bit from the experience. Overall, it is still a place I would go back to, just with a different approach next time. I would probably stick to one or two instead of ordering a full box.

This little donut shot is located in the heart of downtown Billings. They boast that their donuts…read moreare made fresh everyday, and they are run by 3 born and raised Montanans The interior is nice and bright, a little small, but the donuts and coffee are prepared to-go. The display case has beautifully decorated donuts, and it's honestly hard to choose which one you want (I got two) The person working was efficient. It was early and they weren't particularly friendly, but they were professional. Each donut was placed in a to-go plastic protective case, my coffee was made to-go, and I was offered a carrier and/or bag The coffee (latte) was mid at best, especially for other options in the area. And the donuts were a little too sweet for me. I also wanted the Homer donut to be strawberry, and it was cherry... an artificial taste I wouldn't usually gravitate towards. Everything was fine, but I wasn't overly impressed Some tips: Proof has seasonal donuts that are always intriguing. Currently, there are donuts more on brand with the fall, but when I went in they had an Ube donut with lemon, and I really wish I had tried it Cheers!!

Sourdough donuts. Hand-made from scratch. Every day…read more There ought to be a rule against this type of food truck. No one needs this option interfering with good intentions of healthy eating. This kind of temptation should immediately be removed from the streets. How does this even qualify as "food"? It's sin, that's what it is. It's insidious -- the way Yoder's donuts torture me from afar with dreams of tasting every mouth-watering bite of this imperfectly circular evil. These types of nightmares can lead me to consider a longish drive to get to the area (Cody and Powell) where stalking this food truck is possible. It's a battle. Walk up to the window of this truck and your senses are assailed by the aroma of frying donuts and if you look inside to the left, you'll see the worker pulling from the fryer the donuts you've just ordered. Start with the original glazed, or the cinnamon sugar, or the chocolate and perhaps move on to the special of the day -- go ahead -- partake of them all and justify it to yourself later as the sugar rush catches up to you later. Seriously, though, I'm glad I don't live in the area this truck serves, or I would be in trouble. Big trouble. These donuts remind me of those my grandma made, and that taste of childhood is there on my tongue with every single bite.
