Tony and I was prisoners in Rock Hill SC due to our car breaking down for basically the entire day. While we were here, we decided to kill some time by walking over to the Rock Hill Galleria Mall. The Mall didn't fully open until 11am. But really there isn't much to wait for. Not many things still left here! There is about 10-15 stores, a bath and body works, Hot Topics, Shoe Dept Encore, Belks, several stores can't remember their names, & Kay Jewelers. At least I was able to join some mall walkers to get in some steps. read more

Rock Hill's Galleria looks to me like it's on the way down. Yes, they still have all of their anchors but the inside has quite a few storefronts that are artfully covered up since they've departed. Even the food court has closed shops. The mall space is clean and uncluttered, the parking lot is smooth and there's plenty of it. It's easy to get to from the Interstate. It's in good shape and will last long into the decline of malls in general. Bummer. Belk, JC Penney, Sears, Walmart, then jewelry stores, general chain stores and quite a lot of sports apparel. read more

This good old mall! So I think Sephora and the really busy nail place keep this mall open...idk. It was almost on its was to being a dead mall. Not much is in rock hill so I could see this place being a place to go for locals...just to go. I did stop at Claire's and Sephora but that was it. They have do have a huge shoe store and a few other useful retailers. About 6 people we in the food court which was kinda surprising! read more

Rock Hill Galleria mall was a strange experience. What looks like a typical mall on the outside (except for the Walmart attached to it?) looks like a step back into 1997 on the inside- especially Sears, generic food court options, and children's area (see below). Highlights were JC Penney (with Sephora), Bath and Body Works, and Rue 21. Very small and not all of the stores were filled. read more

This mall is a ghost town. Most stores are leaving and it stays empty. The roof leaks when it rains and management seems to have no desire to fill the empty stores. The food court is empty. Only a cookie store and Showmars (which is closed on Sunday). I wanted to rent a kiosk here for my small business. I sent emails, called and left voicemails. No one ever responded to me. When I call the office I'm told "She is too busy to talk" when she did answer the phone she also told me on a different day she was too busy. How busy can you be in an empty mall?? That you can't just tell someone how much rent is. I just wanted to know how much it is to rent a kiosk. I even called the head office and they couldn't tell me how much rent is. I was told they would reach back out through email. Never heard anything. Why even stay in business if you have no desire to run the mall and let new stores come in. If it wasn't for Belk I believe they would be closed. Every time I visit another store is gone. Also their air conditioning seems to be broken and has been for some time. It is so hot in the mall. You will break a sweat just sitting in the food court area. read more

Went to the Mall on Saturday. I found it dirty. It was hotter in the Mall then out side. I was so my grandson could play. But nope. The kids indoor playground was awful. There are rides for the kids. They were cute. But the change machine was broken. Went to a store right in front of it asked for quarter. And was told we don't have any quarters. Had my grandson and granddaughter take the train ride. The man driving it. Looked and behaved as if he hated his job. So I can find something better to do next time I take the hour drive to Rock Hill. read more

Only "mall" in rock hill. The galleria is unfortunately dying a slow death like many malls across America. More businesses are leaving this mall than coming in with sears and yankee candle being the most recent stores to depart. There's only two food places left in the food court. Unless you have to go, take the extra time to go to Carolina place in pineville or south park mall in Charlotte to get a decent mall experience. read more

This is one of the most depressing malls that I've ever stepped foot in. Malls are euphoric and usually bring joy to my world but when I go here, I start frowning. Every time I go, it's desolate and the most people I see are the two year olds playing in the child area. They do have some stores I like to hit up like JCP, Bath and Body Works and Rainbow but once I hit up where I need to go, I am out of there. No strolling around to see what other stores they offer since it's pretty dreary. I'm afraid a scene out of the movie "Chopping Mall" is going to happen (yeah, the mall is kinda 80's). I've seen alot better but it does have a few good stores to offer. read more

Why is this mall so empty? Why did I come here when I live next to Southpark? It's questions like this that make me sad. Kind of an eerie experience actually seeing a dead mall, the storekeepers are bored to death and standing outside or talking on their phones or greeting you very enthusiastically when you step in to check things out. Why three stars then? They have fantastically awesome sales! Yeah I'm a sucker for sales, and this place has the best I've seen around. Although lacking on the popular brands I am used to they have the occasional purchase for my house for dirt cheap. So I come here when there's a sale. An interesting mall as it was really dead on a Saturday night at 7. We stopped here because we needed a play area for our daughter to get out and crawl around instead of screaming in her car seat. The place was dead with about 7 or 8 kids max in the play area at a time. She loved it and we stayed for an hour. At one point we were the only ones in the play area. They have a small train for kids and every15-25 minutes or so it cruises the mall with a few kids in it. Great idea. I walked around the mall a little and barely saw anyone. JCPenny seemed to be somewhat busy but half of the store was under reconstruction. It at least was dead and easy for my daughter to crawl off excess energy. read more

eh. This is a rather bland mall in Rock Hill. At first, when you see the surroundings on the roads around the mall, you think this is a pretty nice place. But then you see the disjointed, oddly placed Walmart that is ATTACHED to this mall and the bland exterior and realize it's not anything fancy. I can envision that this place used to be rather nice but it has become very run down. They do still have some decent stores to visit and their food court is okay. I go there just for the Bath & Beyond store, and even that is very dull looking. It needs a major makeover. read more

As far as mall expectations go, the Galleria is fair at best. It is small and there are few businesses that remain open within it. The major department stores include Belk, JC Penny's, and Sears and are recently renovated. There is also a slightly run down Walmart tacked on the end. A few stores inside the mall include: Bath & Body Works, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic, and Sephora. There are limited food places inside. There is a play pin at one end of the mall and an obnoxious train that drives through the entire mall endlessly everyday. The atmosphere is very lulled and not energetic. Most of the employees see little to no traffic on a normal day and either can be very over helpful upon arrival of a customer or could completely care less. This mall becomes more and more empty each year. It is a good place to stop by if you know which store you need and what you want, but if you want to window shop and make a day of it go to Charlotte or Pineville for better results. read more

Sad to see this is still being considered a mall. Given the lack of patrons and interesting stores, I am a little shocked that it is surviving. I am not sure how the tenants afford to pay rent. The food court is awful. They need more of a selection. Lots of boarded up space. The stores that are there are generic. It doesn't surprise me, considering that there is a Wal-Mart attached to it. Why wander around an empty mall looking for something they may or may not have at extremely inflated prices when there is a walmart next door? I did go to one store there where I found a nice outfit at a relatively low price, Lilly's Boutique. Needs to be revamped and rejuvenated, badly. read more

The atmosphere of this mall is sad . The stores are ok. They have Hot Topic, Belks, Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, etc. Belks is the only upscale store in the Galleria. The Galleria is attached to a WalMart . I rather go to Carolina Place Mall which is a little more upscale than the Galleria. read more

Rock Hill Galleria has the feel of the "used to be new and cool" mall. You know, the one that everyone started going to when it was built? Now it's the theme song from, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." Only...the mall is kept up nice enough that you don't envision tumbleweeds rolling by. In fact...scrap the Clint Eastwood movie reference and change that to the theme music from, "Walking Dead." That's much more appropriate...except...scratch that too. This place doesn't have a ransacked apocalyptic look or feel. This place is just empty. It's not even a horrible mall. It's just not one I'm multitasking for multiple gifts...but you already knew that, because you go to Carolina Place, Southpark, Northlake, or Concord Mills too. The best thing for Rock Hill, would involve the sale of this mall by its owners. Since the owners are not around here, and they still turn a profit akin to the Los Angeles Clippers, they will not be selling or investing more money into this mall. So I guess it's on the tenants to pack up shop and let this mall be razed. Envision the great things that could be done in terms of land development in this area? Maybe they could do us a favor and level Walmart while they're at it. read more

If the heat is really getting to you and you need a nice, cool location where you can do some shopping and enjoy a respite from the sun....don't shop here. I feel really bad for the stores that are just trying to hang in there while whoever owns this stupid mall gets more and more Scrooge-like with its operation. The newest victim? The air conditioner. Every time we've been in there since March (about four times), the temperatures range from the low to high eighties in the building. Weekday, weekend, doesn't matter. And the employees just have to suck it up and deal with it. Mall management, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. This is a good way to wind up with an empty building that for everyone concerned is real estate poison. read more

This mall is pretty good. It offers stores such as Belk, Bath and Body Works, Rue 21, and American Eagle Outfitters. Miss when Finish Line and Great Steak were in this mall. Sad. read more

Nice and clean!! But yet so empty and old looking, just not a fun shopping environment at all, then you get to the empty food court that offers you less then nothing at all to eat but empty spaces some empty for so long that they have walled over one hole section. They have started expanding the larger stores like jcpenny and belks but that just ment even less store space that they took out just to expand, the place is never busy and mostly dead. There's no doubt a need for more chain stores like Gap, Children's Place, Lane Bryant, etc, but this mall has a lot of potential with all the growth around it. They had a Halloween event for kids that gave them a safe place to trick or treat. Not every mall does stuff like that for families. Plus we saw a huge wall where JC Penny is expanding.
