I'm giving them 4 stars though it could have easily been 3. The salmon nigiri was THIN. The rolls were ok (hence the 4 rating) but if you can't do salmon nigiri right then you're just not a sushi restaurant.

DISCLAIMER: I'm writing this review as someone who enjoys all types of food from the most authentic to the creative spins. This place is being reviewed as one that makes creative spins on sushi (putting a piece of steak on sushi definitely counts as creative spin). Knowing what this place is important in enjoying your food experience. Rock N Roll Sushi is a rock n roll themed sushi with lots of artistic expressions for sushi and such. So if you are a sushi purest... this ain't it BUT THAT'S OKAY! I read the other reviews and think some come from a place of being a sushi purest or from a small town and shocked by what may seem as a very high price. I get it. But I believe this place is actually quite great! The ambience may not be my liking (it's a hard core rock n roll themed place) but I could see this place thriving if it were marketed as a sports sushi bar (they've got tons of TVs to use!) Food wise it was quite an adventure! We got the Twisted Tuna, Punk Rock Roll, Crowd Surfer, Tourbus, and Mochi (which I got for free as a birthday gift). The rolls have lots of toppings and unique flavors. The twisted tuna was like a sushi version of chips and dip! The service was sweet as the lady was the one who informed me about the free appetizer on my birthday. It was a wonderful experience and I hope more people give this place a try! 3 specialty rolls and an appetizer cost me around $60 before tips.

Welcome to Conway's Rock n Roll sushi. I've not been to other Rock n roll sushi so I really looked forward to this visit. I do enjoy sushi but did not expect this to be the same quality as going to a Japanese restaurant. The combinations were interesting with a bit of a southern flair (crawfish and crawfish seasoning). The rolls were not bad. I will not say they are the greatest but for what most people are looking for in a fun funky atmosphere it was fine. My only complaint is that the service was meh. I walked in and went to the bar and wasn't greeted at the door. The staff was almost seemed put out. They did just enough. Once my order was taken and I asked for a drink while I waited (I made a to go order) I was asked "if water was ok" I understand that this is a dry county, so I wonder if this is just customary instead of giving a menu or suggesting a specialized beverage. My waitperson then disappeared. I sat 20-30 minutes waiting for order. I asked one of the 3 wandering wait persons who did not acknowledge my presence about my order. She checked the 2 orders that were sitting and waiting. She then ask me my name, which the wait person who disappeared did take. She then asked me what was on my order because there was one without a name. As I struggled to remember the order since I hadn't been there before... we finally realized this was my order. So... not sure if I'll return to this location, but this is what to expect.

I ordered 2 sushi rolls to-go. The server who took my order was friendly & helpful. You can see straight into the kitchen which always gives peace of mind when eating out. everything ordered was included as it should be with no issues. The restaurant is set up with a classic rock appearance & feel. I ate my sushi as my husband drove & it was just what I needed for continued travels.

My family visited for lunch on yesterday and decided to eat on the patio since the weather was nice. The patio area has a few tables but several sofas areas for conversation. We did not wait long for seating and our waitress was out soon after to take our order. The resteraunt wasn't packed but there was a nice crowd of people at this time. The resteraunt and bar area looked very clean, but the bathrooms had a bad smell and needed to be cleaned. We ordered the sampler, electric and Boston evasion sushi platters. My husband also ordered an alcoholic drink (not pictured) - it was really good as well. The sampler had jalapeño poppers stuffed with crab and they were amazing! Wontons again stuffed with crab, and tempura shrimp and Eggrolls. Everything was hot, fried soft and delicious. We enjoyed their take on some of our favorite food items. My husband ordered the electric sushi which has jalapeños, and crab. It was listed as being spicy and I do not care for spicy foods, but I tried his and it was not. I think the spice may just be in the jalapeños. We really liked the creaminess of the crab paired with the sushi rolls. It was super yummy. I ordered the British Invasion and I really enjoyed mine as well. Mine had a bit of avocado, tempura shrimp, eel and salmon. Everything was fresh, super large portion and delicious! Cannot wait to return.

So decided to beat the crowd to Rock N Roll sushi and go to lunch. Dinner wait is still way to long for me to wait. So it was my birthday and the wife said let's go. We were seated quickly and service was great. The lunch crowd showed up In force quickly soon after! So get there at 11! We ordered 4 rolls. Each of the rolls showed up quickly. Each roll was fresh and flavorful. The ones with the jalapeños were like Russian roulette on the spice level, which made things interesting! Great atmosphere and rolls.
