The house we rented was extremely reasonable for the cost, beautiful original flooring, great kitchen for cooking, covered porch to enjoy the rain & play games. The idea of being able to enjoy the ranch life first hand & ride during the stay is genius, we really unplugged and reset ! Equestrian Jen gave us an immersive experience connecting with the horses & it was according to my daughter the best birthday gift of her life. Jen's equestrian knowledge is obvious yet she remains down to earth and is an skilled teacher. She taught us an impressive amount in the time frame but always held the horses best interest as highest priority,revealing her genuine love for this magnificent animal. Overall, to see my daughter smile the way she did at the end of her 3 day experience was something I'll never forget. Tears where shed when we left but I told her don't worry we will be back ! Thank you to all the amazing people & beautiful horses at Diamond Oaks Farm for giving us a vacation with memories that will last a life time. We will most certainly be back as soon as possible. I've…read morelived in Ocala for about 3 years and have been a boarder and employee at several farms all over the Ocala area and I can honestly say this is definitely a great farm. For full care, it's average price for the area and everyone is open to their own feed and turnout schedules. I visit the farm 1-2x daily, and all of the horses on the farm are always happy and fed in a timely matter. The owners are fantastic, they're always a text or phone call away and easy to work with. The other boarders are also very easy to get along with and the barn has a great atmosphere. The grounds are kept tidy and I've never experienced any issues here!

She was just 4 at the time but loved horses and the website for Avalon said lessons start at age 5. I figured I would purchase the deal and use it when she turned 5, boy was I glad I purchased this deal! My daughter turned 5 in the first few weeks of December. We had our first lesson at Avalon just before Christmas. Lonna was my daughter's riding instructor for her first horseback riding lesson. Fun and engaging, Lonna made my daughter feel comfortable on top of the giant horse Evan she was riding. I might mention, my daughter is terrified of heights and Evan is impressively tall. Before riding Evan, my daughter was given the opportunity to groom a different horse with another riding instructor. She was shown how to brush, curry, and comb out the horses coat. She was also shown how to pick up and pick out the horses feet to get them ready to ride. After her first lesson she was hooked on horses and we signed up for a monthly lesson program. The staff, the facilities and the riding instruction is top notch. The Stables are always clean and the grounds are beautiful. The riding staff is trained in beginner to advanced riding techniques. They are welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. We are happy to have found Avalon Stables for our daughter.
