There is a pool, grill, full kitchen, and large areas to walk around or have a romantic picnic. I didn't realize at the time of reserving that there are three suites, which means three sets of guests at a time, but this didn't impact our stay at all. The owner made breakfast in the morning, and it was delicious! You sit in a sun kissed dining area, with a wall of hundreds of trophy's and ribbons from their horses, and he provides made to order breakfast on the spot, with fresh fruit, muffins, and dainty breakfast treats. If you're looking for solitude, the sounds of horses running through the fields at night, and some country peace and quiet - this is the spot for you.

Inside, the floors and ceilings are hand-painted by an incredibly talented artist, and the mermaid-and-manatee theme blends together perfectly. The host, Joanne, is attentive while still respecting your privacy. She showed me around, answered all my questions, and made sure I knew she was just a phone call away if I needed anything. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and she had a banner over the bed and a nice bottle of champagne waiting in my room--such a thoughtful touch. You definitely won't go hungry here. There were muffins, bagels, cookies, fruit, snacks, and more than I could count. For breakfast, there were eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and plenty of options to cook at your leisure. Drinks ranged from water and juice to soda, beer, and wine. I stayed in the Scallop Room on the ground floor. Each room has its own key, private bathroom, TV, and everything you might need. The bed was comfortable and very clean. In the evening, the owner lit the fire pit and provided s'mores so we could sit by the river, watch the sunset, and relax. Outside, there are kayaks, paddle boards, water bikes, and more. It was my first time kayaking on the river, and I had a wonderful time watching a manatee and her baby (from a respectful distance), along with fish jumping and birds diving. One of those special days I'll remember for years. My husband and I debated where to stay and took a risk with Crystal Blue Lagoon B&B, since we couldn't find a lot of reviews online. We booked the manatee room because we were charmed by the eccentric decor (it seemed better than a potentially run down room in a generic chain hotel) and we could not have been happier with our choice! While in Crystal River, we spent a lot of money on private boat tours (Manatees in Paradise is the best if you're wondering), but you don't even need to book a tour if you stay here. They have a manatee sanctuary spring pretty much on the property (populated by 30+ manatees during our stay). Plus, they have tons of water toys you can use and everything you need to swim with the manatees on site. Many of the boat tours would anchor there so people could swim with the manatees, but we had a perfect view of them by just standing on the lawn and looking into the spring, something the people on the boat tours couldn't do. Truly, it was the best manatee experience we had in Crystal River! Our room in the B&B was comfortable, clean, and completely charming, if not luxurious. It feels a bit like visiting your most artistic friend or family member. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which came in handy as the weather was cold during our stay. The kitchen was overflowing with a huge assortment of snacks, drinks (including wine and beer), and food you can prepare if you're so inclined. We only used the ones at the pool area and they were nice. The pond has a lot of brim, bass and more for catch and release. They offer kayaks and canoes to use anytime before dusk. After passing by other campgrounds that we saw on google I think we'd definitely stay here again. It's literally a 5 minute drive to Weeki Wachee too!

This place exceeded our expectations! Theresa and Daniel are warm hosts who treat each guest with joy. First the rooms. They are stunning. We stayed in Classical Room. Our friends stayed in Tango Room. The decor is gorgeous. The beds super comfy. I slept sound each night, and loved some daytime naps too. Next, the breakfasts-- each was "An Experience." We stayed 9 nights and each morning, we enjoyed unique, great food, and Theresa would tell us a bit about the food - some Argentinian dishes - all were wonderful. Location -- located at the end of a roadway off of Ozello Trail, we were surrounded by wildlife. We saw dolphins swimming by Lullaby's pier. Plus so many birds. We love bird watching! The Area - we went to 3 Sisters Spring, Homosassa Springs State Park, the Fish & Wildlife Visitor Center (a must!), the Archaeology State Park with "indian mounds." We took a great boat tour to see manatees and King Bay. It was too chilly to swim, but we would have liked to take a dip at Hunter Springs (with manatees in winter). NOTE - This was 3 months after Hurricane Helene, and the fact that this B&B provides such a lovely experience means even more. They are still fixing things that were flooded. And they do all the extra work while maintaining great "guest experiences." Bravo!

I don't even know what that device is on the box spring at the bottom, but are you kidding me?? We had our two dogs with us, and I was not going to subject them to this disgusting uncleanly room let alone myself and my husband! We immediately packed our bags once we noticed how disgusting it was and stayed at the Holiday Inn nearby way better way cleaner more money, of course and our entire weekend ruined because of this but at least we were SAFE. The lady was made aware of this and tried to beat around the bush. Even with the photos!! Eventually she said she apologized and would refund the money. Contacted her a week later or so only to find out she never sent the money back to us yet and then tried to say we were trying to stay a free night!! Ew!! No we weren't! And we chose this place because of its proximity to the Withlacoochee state trail, which if you don't know, is a 75 mile long rails to trails bike path. We love it and we get to it by crossing the street and riding about half mile on a sandy trail that takes you to the paved path. No need to put the bikes on the car and drive to a trail. But enough about the bike trail. Sandy Oaks is very quiet and very clean. They encourage you to wash your car and camper as they want to keep the park looking good. Most parks I've been in don't let you wash your car. Bath and showers are clean and well maintained and the laundry has 10 washers and dryers. They also have group activities and gatherings. We find it comfortable and well situated. But be aware that some of the spots are quite small. Not like a state campground.

BEWARE! Felt RIPPED OFF, Not customer oriented!. On Dec 16,…read more2023, my husband and I booked a 7-day RV stay at Sandy Oaks RV Park, Beverly Hills FL 34465. This was 9 weeks in advance of our Feb 18, 2024 arrival, planned so we could be close to a family member was scheduled to have surgery mid-Feb. Over Christmas we learned the date/location for surgery had changed. We immediately called to cancel and because we were at Day 55 (5 days into their 30 - 60 day window) for a full refund, they kept 50% of what we paid plus $40 admin fee. They charged us $279 out of the $355 we paid. They only had our reservation for 12 days!!!! We called and talked with Jodee, the manager, who was unwaivering and adamant those were the rules. We pointed out their website stated "50% of your security deposit plus $40 administrative fee" would be charged, not the entire amount of the 7-day stay. (Wow, we made a HUGE mistake paying 100% up front.) Our fellow RV-friends agreed that a refund of $279 for holding a reservation for 12 days was unreasonable and not consistent with their stated cancellation policy. They called and spoke with two different staff members who told them the 50% applied to 1st night's stay, not the entire 7 nights. e.g., cancellation charges would be $36 plus $40 admin totaling $76. Jodee charged us $279! Beware! this is not a nice "friendly and helpful" RV Park. Be sure to double check EVERYTHING before booking with them so you're not "ripped off" like we feel we were.
