After…read moreseveral calls to various companies, and hearing their estimates of what caused the problem, we got to About Brick and Concrete and spoke with Jeff Lovins who proposed a unique solution: it was moisture condensation inside the chimney from hot exhaust gas touching the cold brick liner (in Winter). He installed a stainless steel tube suspended in the center of the chimney, sealed the top surround , replaced the cap, and no more leak anywhere. Good work; definitely recommend him and his crew.
