Clear communication and transparency are important to us when work is being done in a family member's home. Repeated misspelling of my name in correspondence also raised concerns about attention to detail. Due to these issues, we chose not to proceed. They beat that quote by more than $1500, threw in some extra toilet bolt tightening and hose bibs from the honey-do list...so we hired them on the spot to come back in a few days and get all of that polybutylene out of there! (And, for the record, the quote that we had was low-to-mid priced for our area and several years old.
