The Great Lawn in front of the main building ie the Montalvo Center allows picnics without reservations - just set up camp under a tree. There's a very well maintained Italian garden right next to the great lawn with varieties of succulents, a pagoda like structure and cedars. Also saw a wedding in progress while we were there and it is such a beautiful location for it! I will definitely visit again to explore the trails. Parking can be a little hard on weekends but you gotta just wait till a spot opens. If the event venue is booked out - that makes parking harder since they reserve a lot for guests. It's not a new place but their seats are cushioned which is nice. Parking was plentiful as well as right next to the venue. They do have restrooms inside and didn't have to wait at all which was nice when you're going to a theater like event and not having to wait for a stall. Overall a nice little spot for a freebie event.

And for new students, they always get a chance at the front and back. The student generally watches others to familiarize themselves with the new choreography and then can go in the front line. And after class when a child doesn't see their parent the teacher will walk tha child out unless they are old enough to go by themselves. Amazing experience here, competition was fun and everyone welcomed my daughter who was new. She made a lot of friends on her first year of competition. I would def recommend this company

The venue is beautiful for stage performances, and it's not massive so almost every seat has a good view. I was about five rows away from the stage, and it was incredible to see my favorite band and singer up close! Food and beverages are expensive, but that's typical. I think a can of Coke was more than $5. Don't bother trying to get an Uber back at night from this venue. Ubers are allowed up to the venue for pick ups I think half an hour or an hour after the show ends. I also think Uber won't bother picking up people here because it's a single, narrow, winding road up the mountain, which causes a ton of traffic. So drive up to the venue, carpool with friends, purchase the shuttle ride in advance, or brave through that hell hole situation.

The small and vibrant theater has been a haven for budding artists drawn to the stage. Both experienced and new students can get involved along with folks from the greater community. Always joyful to seea play here. Director Bruce De Les Dernier's last show was 'The Christmas Carol' on November 26, 2023. He had been directing shows for over 30 years. A wonderful man with a full white beard and shy playful smile that lights up a room.

This particular production of Guys and Dolls features a large, talented cast and the lead roles all had strong voices and the choreography -- especially for a college production -- was fabulous!
