It's horrible that whenever you need to call the front office, the phone is never available that you end up calling on-call nurse. Front desk ladies are never eager to assist you. They always have something negative about your request. Medical assistant practitioner. Johnson is horrible doesn't follow up. Whe ever you call the front desk, They put you on a long hold. Forget about you. It's just horrible. I do not recommend this medical practice. And medical assistant Johnson does not follow up any information on bloodwork or paperwork that is given to him or refills on prescription. I will be changing my husband to a different doctor Dr. Hud boy is very good but his nurses and his staff suck they don't care about the patients at all and apparently Dr. Hud boy doesn't know about this. read more

I was going to be a new patient but when i called to change the doctor no one would never answer the phone. I also sent a message through Mychart and i received no response but the day before they sent me a reminder of my appointment but still would not answer the phone until i went to mychart to cancel my appointment they answer then. when i spoke to the lady that answer she asked would i like to reschedule and i said no. she said ok then hung the phone up real aggressive and load. Looking at the other review they do not respect peoples time so that adds up to other things that just maybe save me a headache. read more

I've been to this place since I was 7 and each time, the staff is friendly. They thoroughly check my body and they are ready to serve. I'm really picky about my doctors since I know it's hard to find a good one these days. Dr. Brack is nice and Dr. Johnson as well. Both helped me with my conditions and made sure all of my issues were resolved before I stepped out of the door. I don't know how much they cost without insurance so, that's why I gave them 4 stars. This has to be the worst Dr.'s office I have ever been to. If I could give them a zero I would. The wait time even with an appointment is an hour plus. I usually spend 2-3hrs here minimum. They take forever to respond to refill requests when you run out. They have forgotten numerous times to send refills. Refilling anything became an act of contrition. Most recently I have had the PA suddenly refuse to continue migraine treatment previously prescribed by a Neurologist when emailed for refills as is customary. This is the SECOND pain medication they unilaterally decided to discontinue via email outside of an appointment. The first being for arthritis. It honestly has been way too stressful. We have been going to Rockdale Family for over 10 years. Sometimes there may be a wait, but...I do not know of any doctors in town that take last minute appointments. And to me that is worth the wait time. One time I was bit by a PitBull and needed an appt asap, they worked me in. Another time I needed a shot for poison ivy, it was on a Friday and the poison ivy was taking over my body, they took me in for a shot. I always call, but they seem to really care about their patients. Sometimes, the best are worth the wait. read more

I give this office a one only because I believe in respecting people time as well as my own time. This office will make an appointment for you for 9am for example. You will probably not get called back until 45mins to an hour. Then once called back then you will wait in the room for about another 20 to 25mins. However please do not be late to your appointment because they will charge you the missing appointment fee and make you reschedule. REALLY. They do have knowledgeable physicians but because time is something you can't get back. I will be looking for another doctor. read more

My experience here is not dissimilar to others the last 5 years. The wait in the lobby is typically 45 min then 20 more minutes in the exam room. The front desk staff usually have smiles, but my doctor brings my review up to 3 stars. My wife's suggested I find another doctor, but to me he's why I come back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I cannot speak on the doctor's abilities. However, if you are a physician and continue to see people saying that your front office needs work and you continue to use those same people, I cannot trust that you have the best judgement. These people are completely and utterly unprofessional. They will tell you one thing and do another. Garbage. Absolute garbage. I have been coming here since I was a child and now that I come alone as an adult I feel so bad for my parents that had to sit here for 2+ hours after my appointment time. I'm currently here now and my appointment time was at 9:30 and I got called back at about 10 and it is currently 11 and I am still waiting to see the doctor. It's a giant waste of time. read more

I had a wonderful physician at this practice for years, but the office staff is why I found another doctor. Unless I had an appointment or went there in-person, I was never able to get in touch with my doctor- I would call 6-8 times and leave messages for her nurse/assistant, and I would never get a phone call back. I waited nearly an hour to see my doctor, and she didn't even acknowledge her tardiness upon introducing herself. She was very short with me and not helpful at all. This is a long overdue post! I'm new to Yelp. I've been a patient of Dr. Akmal's for over 10 years. There's not enough kind and appreciative words that I could ever express for Dr. Akmal or Sarah his nurse. They are two of the most considerate, kind, understanding, informative health care professionals I've ever been to in my life. Dr. Akmal has always listened and addressed every concern. He's always treated me with compassion and respect. He's honest and if its a medical issue that that needs more specialized treatment, he will let me know and refer me to a specialist, which hasn't been often. He is very intellgent, listens intently. He's geniune concern has and always been in my best interest. He truly cares, he has always treated me as if I were his only patient, he's never rushed or disgarded any of my reasons for my visit. Sarah, his nurse, has never failed to follow up or return a call, set up any referrals, and she is an advocate for me, especially if there us something I may have forgotten to mention during my visit. She too, goes above and beyond. I have never left my visits with questions or uncertainity of my treatment. I truly love them both! I am so very blessed, so very grateful, to have the two very best health care professionals in Conyers. If you have 1 - 2 hours to wait in the lobby, then 30 minutes to a hour to see a doctor, this is your place. My family has been using Rockdale Family Practice for over 7 years, it takes alot to push me to this point but it's time I took MY family elsewhere. Our time is just as important as theirs is however you won't be treated that way. They do not care if you have the first appointment of the day at 7am, you will not see the doctor till 7:50, yep that's my experience. They ask you if you want this med or that, how bout prescribe what I ACTUALLY NEED! This upsets me because I'd like to have the same doctors, but tired of being upset along with not feeling good when I have to go there. read more

The office staff who call in the medications are incapable of following even the SIMPLEST of instructions...call my medication for my cholesterol to MED EXPRESS. Not only did they called it into the PUBLIX across town. The nurse practitioner is obviously a nurse practitioner because she can't get it right! The last message I left on her line stated to call it into med express. She was the one to IGNORE my request and sent it NOT to the Publix I use and have used for the last 10 yrs but to the one across town. How in earth did she make it through nursing school? read more

Dr. I A Not a reputable medical facility. I was scheduled for regular blood screen and paid for it at time of service was billed $300. Dr I A said don't worry about it they will fix problem. Received several bills for fee so tried several times to get Dr. and Staff to correct the problem. Never was done had to pay fee and additional fees for their error. So I would not go to them as you will be billed for services that you do not need and will have to pay for them. read more

Tammy is horrible! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! She told my mother not to come back because her bill wasn't completely paid due to an car accident claim and then had the nerve to charge a no show fee. Tammy was very nasty with her. I know other visitors of this location left negative reviews, but my experience here was pretty good. I did have to wait about 20-30 minutes, but I am a new patient and I expected some sort of wait. Once I got to the back, everything worked like clock work. I was seen by the MA for my vitals and medical history, then the PA for my gyno annual exam, followed by the doctor for my physical exam. The best part is that they have an in house lab and I got all my blood work done while I was there. So, if you think about it, I had 3 appointments in one! No need to take off from work 3 separate times. All of my labs were available on their online portal once you sign up, so that was super convenient. My prescriptions were given to me before I left and i was offered to make a follow up appointment. Overall, it's not the best looking place, but everyone was nice and it is super convenient to get all your medical needs met at one appointment. PS...give yourself about 3 hours if you are a new patient and if you plan on getting more than one service. read more

omg! if you have 1-2 hours to wait then this is the place for you. my appt was at 10:30 today. i sat in waiting area for 30 plus minutes finally got call to room at 11:08. it is now 12:20 the dr still havent came in the room. this is pathetic........ never again getting my persxription because i paid fornthis visit and never coming back. ive been here a total of 4 visits and each has been a long wait.... read more
