    Lower level bathrooms.

Lovely space but two things: bathrooms are in the lower level and there is no obvious elevator. A friend asked the staff if there was an elevator to the bathrooms and was told "no...but there is a lift" but she didn't know what that meant so she struggled up and down the stairs. Also, it is super hot and stuffy! There is no air conditioning. Doors are open, but the pews are full with students on tour and it is roasting. But the space is old and beautiful and the acoustics are great. The speaker is not even using a microphone.

    I love the vaulted ceilings

Stupendous, just awe inspiring stupendous. John D. Rockefeller was a robber baron whose guilt/generosity led him to donate money and build many useful and beautiful buildings but he outdid himself here. He must have realized it himself as he allowed it to be named after him, a rarity. It completes the neo gothic architecture of this wonderful university and provides a focus to the campus. It was a great place to stop in when I was lucky enough to attend summer seminars here many many moons ago and still was on our recent Hyde Park holiday. I just wish I could attend a wedding here. Not mine, I've been married twice, that's enough. I just would love to see it being used for that purpose. In the meantime, I will just appreciate it for its architectural glory.

This is quite an impressive chapel, especially for being for a university. But hey it was built with Rockefeller money! The organ inside really is amazing and the stained glass windows.

Just stunning. Back when the wealthy gave back to the community and to better those to come with glorious and glamorous architecture.

This fits perfectly with our theme though not everything was as great as we wished. There was a window controlled unit for air conditioning, so it's not advised for summer weddings. Our wedding was about 80 degrees outside so inside was fairly warm in our suits and dresses. Our coordinator was switched last minute on us about 10 days before the wedding, so she did not have time to coordinate with us for rehearsal or the wedding day. My wedding party did not get along with her as she threw off our timing with the entrance and rushed us on several occasions to "move-along". Mind you, we rehearsed the timing of the entrance song to the bridesmaids walking down the aisle but she did not care. She even locked the doors of the chapel 30 minutes before the event was over, even though we paid for the extra 2 hours based on the original contract we signed. This place would have been perfect if the coordinator was more hands off and assisted us rather than dictate our day. If you pick this place, please be warned and have everything in writing.

From the get-go, she offered her services and even came up with some great ideas. She made sure that we did not have to think about anything other than honoring our brother. The chapel was set up with flowers, etc. when we arrived. She also took care of everything after the service so that we could get to the luncheon. I would recommend this place for weddings, a celebration of life service, and any memorials.

Review: Avoid Carla Doshi and Forever Incredible at All Costs…read more Rating: 0/5 Stars I cannot express strongly enough how much I caution future couples against booking Carla Doshi of Forever Incredible. While an officiant is supposed to be a source of peace and celebration, Carla was nothing but a source of stress, unprofessionalism, and--most alarmingly--dishonesty. Our experience was a nightmare of "radio silence." After paying our deposit, we went weeks without any response to our emails or voicemails. When she did finally resurface, it was always the same: a laundry list of excuses (trips, "archived" emails, personal matters) followed by template responses that made it clear she hadn't actually read our requests or taken our wedding seriously. The breaking point came when we tried to terminate our contract due to her lack of communication. Not only did she refuse to return our deposit, but she manually altered our original invoice after the fact. We have the original documents showing the payment was not listed as non-refundable; once we asked for our money back, she doctored the invoice to "deceptively" add non-refundable language to justify stealing our money. Attempting to manipulate a contract and steal from a couple planning their wedding is beyond the pale. This is predatory behavior. Please, do yourself a favor and find someone who treats your marriage with the respect and integrity it deserves. Stay far away from Carla Doshi.

I loved how she had these beautiful quotes from books, poems and our own words taken from our homework. We clicked with her immediately and we loved the ceremony. She gave us a gorgeous certificate as well for a keepsake. She was also so amazing on the wedding day, I was freaking out because someone showed up at our wedding who was uninvited and she was so calm and came up with a plan in two seconds and dealt with the guest. We never had too and no one noticed anything. She responds so fast and is just amazing. So affordable and will give you a wedding ceremony to cherish.

There was no prior warning regarding the need to walk down a lot of stairs for anyone where this would present a challenge. After making it down the stairs, the first impression of the banquet room was not appealing! The entrance to the venue where I'm accustomed to the brunch being held is very elegant and classy. The room appeared as an after thought as I was told by a worker that they were having an event upstairs in the usual room where the brunch is held. We were seated quickly, which was the only positive. We never had a server greet our table and was never offered champagne, which is customary. The glasses remained empty. Empty plates were left to pile up on our table and we had to flag someone to clear them. The array of food was extremely limited, cold, and in some cases dry and overcooked. The person at the omelet station had a hard time keeping up with the demand of people waiting as she had no help. In the past it's usually been at least two people cooking omelets. The food and venue have great potential and ive always enjoyed my experience, but the lack of attentiveness and poor organization severely impacted our 80th birthday celebration! We definitely did not receive the level of service expected and previously received at this price point. in addition, the 20% pre added service charge was not earned, which by the way was the only time the server appeared, which was to present the check!
