Grape Rips Strips and Sour Jello Gummies
    Didi N.

What a fun and amazing candy and soda shop!! When I first walked in, I instantly felt like a kid in the candy store. Memories of my youth flashed before my eyes as I saw so much candy and soda inside the shop. There were literally so much candy that I felt overwhelmed (in the best way possible). There were other merchandise such as cute plushies, posters, toys, hats, etc. Customer service as very friendly and the girls up front were so sweet! The shop was super clean too. There are imported candies as well. We saw candy from Japan and Korea such as kitkats, oreos, gummies, and also even hats and toys! For example, we saw some cherry blossom Oreos from Japan and also Pokemon merchandise! Also saw some ice cream cone gummies from Korea. When you walk around the store, there are literally rows and rows of candy and I did find a few kinds that I've never seen before. I grabbed the following candies: Lemonade Puchao (similar to hi-chews): a Japanese candy with a "chewing gum" consistency but it's not gum and you can swallow it. The flavor of lemonade was spot on and I enjoy the little sugar crystals while I was chewing the it. It was quite delightful. I give this 7/10. Rips Grape flavor sour strips: I have never seen the grape flavor and decided to grab a bag! It was everything that I imagined it would be. Sour, tart, and distinctive grape flavor. I almost finished the whole bag! It didn't taste as artificial and reminded me of the Welch's gummies but just sour. I give this a 8.5/10 Jello sour gummies: I was so excited to try these and boy were these sour! Not super sour but enough to taste the sourness. While I enjoyed these gummies as they had a nice, jello-like texture, there was literally only one or two gummies of the blue raspberry and green apple flavors and the rest in the bag were all cherry flavored. I give this a 6.8/10. They have so many different kids of sodas and I really want to go back to try some of them! Some of the sodas have unique flavors like "Rainbow Fizz." Overall, I would come back but I wouldn't go out of my way because it's a bit pricey for the candies, but it's a pretty cool soda and candy shop to experience!

Our neighbor asked if we had been to this famous candy store and we had no idea it existed. So the next time we went into Marietta square we went. We were in candy heaven! Everything you could imagine and more. We got some Dutch dropchas for my husband. We even got some pop rocks reminiscent from our childhood. Fun place!!!! It is a child's delight (even grown up children).

If you're in Marietta square this place is worth a stop. One of the nicest vintage candy stores with all types of wild candy flavors. Pumpkin M&M's, pickle cotton candy, honey mustard soda. It can be a bit pricey for candy but theres no other place you can get these flavors. Great experience.

Rocket Fizz is an awesome little store. Over the years it has maintained its cleanliness and friendly staff. Even during COVID the store was doing an excellent job in keeping the customers 6 feet apart and everything look spotless. I did tell the kiddos not to touch what every single piece of candy they found interesting but to just point to what they wanted.. just in case. We drive all the way to Marietta just to get Moxie from Rocket Fizz for the hubs. They have a large selection of soft drinks, almost every variety of chocolate and candy. They did not have "Blueberry Faygo". Bummer. Prices are reasonable and parking is plenty in the area. If you are in Marietta Square check them out.

Really cool old fashioned candy store. I felt like a kid again entering! It's very easy to stay in here for a while reading all of the names of the HUNDREDS of different sodas they have, if you look at my picture you'll be very entertained! They had mustard & pickle flavored soda and all kinds of nasty but intriguing flavors. They also had almost every candy imaginable & these posters you could purchase all at very reasonable prices.

Wow! This is a yes! Old timey candy shop vibes right in the Marietta Square. They have every single candy you can imagine. Tons and tons of options for glass soda bottles! They even sold really fun posters (musicians and bands, animals, and more). They have bulk candy where you can grab a small bag ($7.99) to fill to the top and also a large candy bag ($9.99) to fill up. Definitely recommend. Great customer service. Such a fun atmosphere!

An OLd fashioned candy store at the Marietta Square, is a good place to pick up sweets and gag gifts! Their tin signs are fun and hysterical! ++ Ambiance is FUN throwback candy store. Sweets that people recognize or heard of that are no longer (easily) found at convenience stores. ++ They sell ThrowBack candies...bins of salt water taffy in every flavor, bit O honey, jelly beans, all sorts of candy bars, lolly pops/suckers, gag items, huge selection of flavored sodas with silly labels and nostalgic tin posters. + Price is higher...taffy is by weight but most items are a couple of dollars to $20. + Service is friendly. + Parking is street and not too hard. Overall, a blast from the past kind of candy shop fun for every age! MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

Wanna be taken back to your childhood? Yeah... me too! All you have to do is enter in to this magical world of candy and soda!! The colors that surround you will bring you back to days of your youth! They have EVERY candy possible in this wonderland! And the sodas! Don't get me started on how amazingly they're displayed! Huge props to whoever stocks this store! I'm telling you people... if you're in the Marietta Square area, or anywhere within 1000 miles of this store, you HAVE to see this amazing place! Your inner child will thank you!

I am of two minds regarding this place: Pro's: Well-stocked, good variety of products (the chocolate stuff we get in Toronto, no biggie for me), but they had my favourite tea from Scotland and some grocery items which I had not seen in a while. Also, had some interesting biscuits with jam centres which I love. In essence, this place would have probably been a more favourable experience on a less busy day. Had a lot of Digestif biscuits (can get these at home in Canada as well). The jam biscuits were very fresh and not broken into pieces. This makes the store worthy of additional points for sure. Con's: UNFRIENDLY lady at the cash register. Looked totally frazzled and none too friendly. Hey, you offer free cake - don't expect a quiet day lady! I am not sure how much people were actually purchasing, but the place was just insane. I have updated my review, based on freshness of product.

Instead of a simple hello or being asked how many were in our party, the first thing we heard was, "Can I help you?" It felt off and honestly made me uncomfortable, like we didn't belong. We had driven an hour, and it was my fiancé's birthday, so I chose to shake it off and not let it set the tone. We ordered the Seacuterie Board and the Crab Cocktail, and both were really good. The seafood was super fresh and flavorful, and the vegetables were crisp. Our favorite Seacuterie items were the smoked trout spread, mussels, and smoked salmon. I was pleasantly surprised by the pickled figs. I'd never had them before, but they're now one of my favorites. They add the perfect balance of texture and saltiness to each bite. The tuna was our least favorite. It was pretty much flavorless compared to everything else. Overall, it was a good experience, aside from the awkward start.

So you could say I am somewhat of an expert. And these are delish. When I walked in they offered us a sample. I bought a medium sized box in a clam shell cover ($9). Let's just say that the box was full about 2 hours ago and now well...There is a little bit left. I am holding back ya'll. Got the original pralines with pecans. Spoke with the owner's daughter, these are the real deal. This is the original recipe from the famous Bernard's Praline's in New Orleans, Lousiana and Harvey, Louisiana. Asked her why they use margarine instead of butter, she said most recipes use either margarine or butter. The margarine version keeps the pralines from being too sweet. Shhh, I personally am a butter addict (at least 5 lbs at all times in my fridge) and couldn't tell the difference. I went to Kroger's afterward and saw my friend and let her try a piece. She was like "Yummy, I just noticed that place and wanted to try it too". They have pralines with and without nuts and flavored pralines in smaller packages (rum, coconut and more) for $2 each. Plus, they make fresh batches everyday. She also had praline cupcakes and huge apples dipped in praline. They do big orders too. Just call. Okay while writing this I ate 3 more pieces. Somebody stop me. I think I am going to have to hide them from myself and the kids. PS They said they were getting King Cakes in for Mardi Gras this year from a famous king cake maker.
