Both of them have flourished at Primrose. They have both made big circles of the best and kindest friends. Our kids come running out of class every afternoon full of excited stores about new things they learned, built, and thought about that day. This is a place where education is taken seriously, and a love of learning is inculcated. My son, a precocious preschooler, currently reads on a third grade-level. He devours books at home. It isn't just that he's a smart kid; the anonymized test results for his class show remarkably outsized improvement for all of his classmates from the beginning to the end of the year. My kids (and my wife and I) have loved every one of their teachers, all of whom have been positively stellar. The administration is proactive, always available, and communicative. There were some odd rules that we never knew when we originally enrolled e.g. The daycare is opened from 7am to 6pm but you are not supposed to exceed 9 hours of child care. Overall, however they manage to maintain great teachers (there are teachers who've been teaching there for many years) and we were quite happy with the education and the care that he got. If I had a concern and could reach her either in person or via phone, she was rude and unconcerned. I felt that my child was shuffled from classroom to classroom every single day because the staffing patterns were so poor. My daughter got hurt and no one from this place ever contacted me. While the classroom staff were sweet and kind, I did not get the feeling that they all loved their jobs despite having been there for many years. All I felt was burnout from the 'old timer' staff. The environment was old and always felt just a little bit dirty to me. My daughter would come home with fecal matter on her bottom b/c the staff felt that a 3 year old should wipe herself after a bowel movement (RIDICULOUS!) despite my multiple requests to have some assistance. Her clothes, hands and face were almost always dirty. I would not have used this daycare for an entire year, but the price was right and it was a convenience to my home and work. I read the other reviews and just had to comment. Think twice before sending a child to this daycare.

We did try another family owned daycare prior to enrolling at Bright Horizons and there was just no comparison. The Director and Assistant Director are very professional and accommodating to busy working parents. If we need to modify a drop-off or pick-up time, they always do what they can to make it work. The teachers are loving, patient and great educators - we can't believe how much our toddler has learned as a result of her experience at Bright Horizons. The facility is clean, new and unlike the vast majority of local daycare facilities we toured, and they have beautiful playgrounds for each of the different age groups. The school also offers some really fun extra curriculum activities around different holidays like Trunk or Treat, and breakfast with Frosty.
