We took Rockledge bus on a round trip for Baltimore to New York. I do not recommend. Our first bus from Baltimore smelled heavily of urine and feces. Every time the bus hit a bump, or someone opened the bathroom door, the odor was stronger and wafted everywhere throughout the bus. The seats were terrible uncomfortable with little legroom provided. The driver was nice enough, though, and we arrived quicker than I thought. The second bus from NYC smelled better, and the seats were better.... but it was still somehow a rotten experience. We stopped somewhere in Jersey, because they apparently don't do that ahead of time, which took roughly half an hour that was unplanned and we were not informed about. Throughout the drive, the driver was on his cell phone yelling very, very, very loudly in Chinese. Finally, I would be remiss to not mention the heat on the bus was SO hot. Coming from cold New York, where people dress accordingly, I was ill prepared for mid-summer heat in Florida provided by Rockledge bus. Our group ended up taking off as many layers as we could, and it was still too darn hot and the air unfortunately didn't work. People who get motion sick, especially with heat, this would be your worst nightmare. The service was cheap. I think we paid roughly $100 for RT tickets for two, but I'll spring for a better service provider next time. read more

Why do they ask you to be there 30 mins before departure when they were 1.5 hours late. I did get to my destination safe and sound, but there were lots of hiccups on the way that prevented me from having a good night's sleep. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and the temperature on the bus constantly went from hot to cold. There was never a happy medium. It was difficult to move my legs around because my feet would stick to the floor. People on that bus, including the driver barely understood English. At one point a lady had to ask him if she could sit up front because she had a medical condition. He just ignored her, so she called the cops and 30 mins later, he was pulled over so she could get off the bus. My expected time of arrival was supposed to be 5am, but didn't get to NY until 7. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

This is the cheapest way to move between Virginia Beach and NYC, if you've got the time to spend, and the grit to bear uncomfortable old seats + the stench of rotting human waste emanating from a bathroom fit for a haunted house. I have gotten in the habit of trying to sit towards the front of the bus, away from the bathroom, which is only really useful to those who can avoid sitting down while relieving themselves. read more

This bus sucks! The bus stop is in a terrible location in Norfolk. They have two buses a night departing 15 minutes apart from each other making it very difficult to find out which bus you should be on. Take Sprinter Bus and save yourself some heartache. read more

The bus got me from point a to point b safely so there's the two stars but the driver ran through some red lights and the organization before you get on the bus was horrible. Unless you speak Chinese you couldn't really tell what was going on. The bus itself was decent for 35$ I guess but the usb to charge your devices don't all work and the bus made a loud rickety noise the whole time.. You pay for what you get I suppose but I'd probably just pay more next time to get a better experience read more

Strong chemical odor the entire ride from VB, VA to NYC. Couldn't put seat back. Windows dirty, squeaky ride and no organization getting on or off. Price is good, and will do the job, but, I'd take another company. Our 4th trip to VB, Va and worst experience. read more

I would give this company a minus 5 stars, if that were an option. 20 minutes late (when they tell customers to be 30 minutes early), an unexpected stop in Delaware along the way, and the bus decided to reroute to the George Washington bridge when we were at the entrance of the Lincoln tunnel - adding over an hour more to our trip. Ovwrall, we arrived 2 hours over the advertised time. This bus service is so unprofessional. Eastern bus or Bolt are far more reliable bus lines for budget travellers. This company deserves to go out of business. read more

The worst travel experience. Use another discount bus services like Greyhound or Megabus. I was going from New York to Hampton Virginia. I got to the Canal St station and accidentally printed the wrong ticket so I paid $1 for them to print it for me. Then I stood outside in the cold and drizzle for 20 minutes waiting for the bus because the inside was full. A bus pulled up and everyone started lining up but no other customers could confirm if it was the correct bus and the driver spoke no English. I repeat, the driver spoke NO English. I asked the guy who walked down the aisle and collected our printed tickets but he said he didn't know where the bus was headed. I looked at the other tickets around me and they were going to other city's in Virginia so i decided to stay seated. Also you'll have to load your own luggage unlike Megabus. Once we got to the New Jersey rest stop he yelled something in what sounded like Chinese and all of the Asian riders got up and got off and the rest of the passengers followed. I went to the bathroom and then got a burger but looked around and noticed nobody from the bus was around so I hurry to head to the bus and I was the last one on. The driver mumbled something probably cursing me for holding up the bus but I don't know because he didn't speak English. Somewhere in Delaware the bus started shaking so hard I could barely read the text messages on my phone. He pulls over at a closed tire shop and walks around the bus but gets back on and keeps driving. Nobody asks any questions or explains what's going on. The driver starts talking on the phone while driving. Once we get to Salisbury, Maryland he drops off a few folks and picks up a few people but then we sit there for about 30-40 minutes before one passenger explains that there was a busted lug nut causing the shaking we felt. So luckily I had family in the area that I called to come get me because I felt super unsafe to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel like that. There was supposedly another bus on the way but nobody knew where the bus was coming from or how long it would take. So I got my luggage and left and the bus was still sitting there when I got picked up. I called the Hampton bus station to try to get more info but the lady there barely spoke English and said she hadn't heard what was going on. I will have to pay for another bus in the morning but luckily I had the option to end that trip. read more

Omfg never again will I use this bus.first off the picture they had up of the bus was a blasted lie.the bus looks dilapidated inside and out........the odor from the bathroom was atrocious....the chairs were popped down every last one of them.i gave you guys warning and that 4 and half stars they have up should be a negative 4 and half.all the ppl give this bus good reviews I rebuke you in the name a Jesus Christ u just as deceitful as the owners of this trifling bus company .....no sah.....it only got one star from becuz that's the only way I could post this review.......you've been warned read more
