I'm writing this review from the perspective of a wedding guest at River Road Venue. I attended a…read morewedding here in early November and it was wonderful. The location in Anna, TX is remote enough to make it feel secluded. Set off a country road, there is plenty of open field parking. From what I could see, there was the main reception building and the outdoor wedding space was across the creek. Upon arrival to the reception area, very nice, top of the line golf carts were waiting to chauffeur guests to the outdoor ceremony area. The ceremony took place outdoors past a small creek where there was a quaint bridge. The seating was set up in neat rows where the centerpiece had a lovely antique chandelier. There was also a mic set up and outdoor speakers so the vows could be easily heard as well as music to bookend the ceremony. Our friends who got married are huge Anglophiles and they chose "London Calling" by The Clash to take their first walk down the aisle as man and wife. Great touch! For the reception, the building has lots of long tables and some round ones. There was also a dance floor space. The only thing I would say here, is I wish there were some noise abatement measures. While there were speakers to amplify the toasts and speeches, the large space was too boomy to hear with clarity. Other than that, the space was very nice. There are also rooms to the sides of the main room for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. The restrooms were also very clean and well maintained. Overall, I thought River Road Venue was a lovely place to attend a wedding and had beautiful grounds. I would definitely love to attend another wedding here again sometime.

Me and my partner went here to view the property for a potential wedding venue…read more I had contracted Lori the day before hoping to get a last minute tour and she was very accommodating and was quick to send us prices and scheduled a tour. As soon as me and my partner walked in we felt welcomed. As part of the LGBT community we have ran into some issues with finding a place to get married in with vendors and venues not even responding to our inquiries it was a refreshing change of pace to feel welcomed. We toured the place and everything was clearly laid out of what was included and what was extra. We completely loved the tour and it is our top choice currently with expectations of putting a deposit down in late July.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience with The Springs. Unfortunately, we had to cancel…read morea wedding more than 8 months in advance due to unforeseen circumstances. At the time of cancellation, we had paid over $12,000 and had not yet received any planning services, coordination, or event-related services of any kind. Despite the significant notice and the fact that no services had been rendered, we were informed that all deposits and payments are completely nonrefundable per the contract. While that language is indeed written in the agreement, it was a very hard lesson to learn. This is a warning to other couples: read every single word of the contract carefully. Understand that if you need to cancel for ANY reason after making a payment, even many months in advance and before services are provided, you will not receive any refund whatsoever. We understand businesses have policies, but the lack of flexibility or consideration given the circumstances has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing during what was already a difficult situation.

We have had many guests tell us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. We had 100 guests and there was plenty of room left. It was just perfect! The walkway outside is a dream come true for a bride. You have a longer walk that allows you to take in the moment and savor it. The venue was clean and beautiful. It is already pretty enough so all of the lights and chandeliers complimented all of our decorations. The bridal suite is large and held all of us ladies without us getting in each others way. The only thing I would change about the bridal suite is the stools for hair and makeup. They are bar stools and backless which left me feeling backless when all was said and done. Lol. I also want to compliment all of The Springs staff members as everyone was super helpful and made sure no questions or desired went unanswered or met. Our wedding day was beyond perfect and we will cherish the memories made at Stone Hall for the rest of our lives.

The place is cozy and calm, perfect to relax and get away from your daily stress. The owner is super friendly and, when asked, told us about how they came to own the place and to start offering beer. The new beer is very approachable, nothing weird or overly challenging, just four traditional styles. A Honey Blonde, an ESB, a Stout, and an Irish Amber. If you're not into beer, they still have wine of course, which my wife opted for. She chose a Riesling, a Blackberry fruit wine, a Strawberry fruit wine, and a Sangria. All of them were really tasty. I liked that the fruit wines didn't have the artificial flavor some of them sometimes have. If you have alcohol, you probably should have a bit to eat and they offer that, too. My wife went with a butter board (a few different types of butter with their house-baked beer bread) and I with the beer board (beer cheese, two types of salami, pretzels, a beer bread roll, flatbread slices, pickles, mustard, and seasoned almonds). Both of them were excellent. My son got a BBQ chicken flatbread, which was also very good. So, overall a great place to hang out, relax, and enjoy yourself!
