There are two awesome and obscure shaped monkey bars, many spinning seats, and large slides! They also have a great area with various giant musical instruments to play. On the far side of the playground there is a splash pad. It was still on and running today! This park is wide open and had so much space for the kids to run and play. Here's what makes it special: The nursing room (as a mom who used to nurse, this is AMAZING). I don't usually gush over a room, but this one deserves its own paragraph. It's spotlessly clean, private, and has a comfy rocking glider, a wall-mounted changing station with safety straps, a sink with soap and sanitizer, tissues, and even a TV. There's a "vacant/occupied" slider on the door so you get real privacy. Nursing and pumping moms, you will feel taken care of here. Clean, clean, clean. The whole facility is immaculate. You can tell they genuinely care about upkeep. Come on time! They close for an hour between play sessions and actually turn the lights off--which I love, because it gently encourages the "I want to stay forever" kids that it's truly closed. Smart and considerate. Something for every age. Older kids get a Ninja course and a play area, and the littles have their own HUGE dedicated section. I've never seen anything like it--the space is incredible. Snacks & drinks for the grown-ups too. It's so awesome! The kids love it and even adults have fun!! I do have to say there isn't much for the real little kids. It's just got one little train with a small slide and for some reason my daughter just isn't into it. But by next spring she'll be big enough for some other things and she'll be more entertained. I was traveling alone with a dog and they wouldn't allow a dog in the store so I had to tie my dog to a bench outside. Not a problem if I paid $10 for a fake service dog vest like others but honesty bit me here. Still a great park and a great site!

We did a day visit to Paint Creek during our stay at nearby Pike Lake State Park. It looked like…read morePaint Creek picks up a bit more during the summer, as neither the camp store nor the nature center were open when we stopped by, and the large campground only had a few spots in use. There are some great spots overlooking the lake, some with little decks, which looked really nice. The campground had a good playground with a variety of equipment, swings, slides, climbing structures, and more. There is also a horse-friendly section for camping. Near the camp store and nature center, we saw a small mini golf course, as well as disc golf. Paint Creek has a swimming beach and permits boating and fishing. There are trails for hiking, mountain biking, and bridle. The friendly staff at Rocky Fork State Park are able to stamp passport books for Paint Creek.
