We went in for kolaches (special for the weekend) and left with cookies, a cinnamon toastie and caramels. We chose the banana pudding cookie, the fried ice cream cookie, orange cream caramel chew, lemon caramel chew, the honey bun chew, a cinnamon toastie, a strawberry kolache and a peach kolache. The fried ice cream cookie was incredible. It had the cornflake, cinnamon, crunch that a beautifully fried ice cream would have and dipped in milk, was absolutely a perfect mirror of your favorite Mexican dessert! The added secret to all of the baked goods is...caramel! When you pair their caramel with anything it is pure magic. When you add the caramel into the cookie, it is a bite of sheer bliss. The banana pudding cookie was beyond words. Each bite was a beautiful blend of the creaminess of banana pudding and the caramel. It was adorned with a nilla wafer and couldn't have been any more perfect if they tried. The cinnamon toastie was my absolute favor of the entire day-a rolled cinnamon pastry full of gooey, buttery caramel in each bite. I didn't share one bit of it! Each caramel was sheer perfection-a balance of the buttery caramel and the flavors that they described, neither overpowering but a beautiful marriage.
