Chocolatey heaven! It's been a very long time since I have visited Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I wanted to give it another try, since it had been years. Right when I walked inside, it smelt so good! The smell of sweets, yes please! The variety of caramel apples jumped out at me first. They look so pretty! Presentation is there for the apples. The chocolate covered items really drew me in. I headed towards the chocolate covered Oreos and licorice. I love those! They have white chocolate too!!!! I was sold once I saw the white chocolate! Yum! The Oreos were my favorite, followed by the white chocolate covered licorice. I also grabbed a package of the dog bones for my pups. Service was good. I've been going here to get their Dubai chocolate bars and so far I love theirs the best from other shops. They sell them for $20. The only thing I don't like is that I signed up for their rewards and I had a 10% or 20% off coupon (forgot the amount) and I thought I could use it for that chocolate bar and they told me no coupons on the Dubai chocolate bar. They need to put that info in the coupon. read more

Since my last review was 11-yrs-ago. it's great to know they're still a tasty and thriving business here as their sushi restaurant next door is no longer Ra. Always a friendly smile here. I did enjoy their almond milk chocolate turtles as I always do, and their chocolate covered gummy bears. They even had dog friendly bone treats I had to get for gifts and my doggies. We all enjoyed their caramel apples too. So many great toppings and flavors. Cheesecake may be my favorite. Can't go wrong indulging in their sweets here. read more

I was told that if I chose to have a dark chocolate almond Roca apple versus a milk chocolate, (which is what is displayed), I would have to request a dark chocolate mocha in advance, and they would be able to make it for me personally. I really, really love the items I get from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I only get two things, but man..... those are my favorite two desserts at the shop. Regular Fudge and their Apple Pie Caramel Apple yum.... The fudge had the perfect soft texture that just melts in your mouth. I can only have a small bit at a time, but it sure satisfies my sweet tooth. But my favorite Caramel Apple ever is going to be the Apple Pie Caramel Apple. I love the cinnamon in combination with the green apple and caramel, it is one of my favorite desserts ever! I crave this all the time. This place is a favorite of ours when we have a sweet tooth. I love their selection of chocolate goodies and their apples. My kiddos love to choose different apples every time. I'm more of the New York Cheesecake apple lover. Every time we head to the movie theater, we stop before heading home. Overall, this location is always clean and stocked. I've never had any problem with the service. Yes, sometimes it's slow, but I blame the people that go in and are indecisive on what they want to purchase. I do think they would benefit from having a second person there though. Most of the time I've gone in, it's being ran by just one person. BEWARE OF MOLD!!! If I could give this place a 0, I would!! Went in today for a caramel apple and instead got a stomach ache. While I was enjoying my apple I noticed something white on the core, looking closer I saw it was MOLD. I went back to get a refund and the worker gave me attitude and tried gaslighting me. She started by telling me she didn't see anything and then telling me it's not there and that "it's hard to tell with apples." When I explained to her that there is clearly mold on the apple, she then began to give me attitude and was extremely rude. I've never went to food establishment that became so hostile and defensive when bringing up a concern as big as mold in their customers food. When asking for a refund the older women upfront began to talk back and give further attitude. Her solution was to give me another apple after just receiving mold in my current apple. I couldn't even fathom eating another one. In the end she reluctantly gave me a refund and when I left saying thank you to her, she ignored my thank you and sassily said "bu-byeee." This experience is very disappointing being that this is a loved establishment by many and instead of having accountability for the MOLD, I was given attitude and disrespected. My boyfriend and I stopped by to get some dessert and it was delicious! There were only 2 people working, but both people were very nice and patient with the customers. I got a salted caramel apple and some sugar free chocolate. The sugar free chocolate doesn't even taste like it's sugar free, which is pretty amazing! Rocky Mountain always has the best caramel apples, and they slice the apples for you if you ask them to! The only reason why I couldn't give the full 5 stars is because we saw some customers enter the store without their masks on and the employees didn't seem to tell them to put their masks on (we were right outside after we got our desserts, so I don't know how the exact conversation went down). It was a little odd that Rocky Mountain didn't enforce the customers to wear their masks, since all of the shops in the area required customers to have their masks on before entering. read more

We saw that Rocky Mountain had thrifty ice cream, we we went in, and the chocolate malted crunch was maybe old, the malted balls weren't crunchy at all, it tasted like there may have been some frost bite. The apples are always fresh and crunchy. This place always gives some samples so you can try their other delicacies which will get you thinking of what to buy the next time you are there. I've been here a few times and have experienced subpar customer service. Not being greeted when you walk in the door, not being asked if we were ready to check out despite standing at the register, and having to overhear employees gossiping and giggling amongst themselves while waiting. That one of the reasons I rarely come here. Especially when I can go to See's down the street and get excellent customer service, plus free samples. The taste of the chocolate, in my opinion, isn't as good as See's. The price is also high, especially considering the chocolate isn't all that great. One of my favorite places to come for some sweet treats. The caramel apples are always fantastic and fresh. My favorite is a split between the apple pie apple and the rocky road apple. They also have a wide selection of chocolates from truffles to bears to chocolate covered gummy bears. I've used a coupon that they had once and have seen some other deals.
