Their professionalism and care of the surrounding property, even when another contractor was performing demolition on the home's old siding was impeccable! There was no damage to the home and they even moved a very heavy pile of stone veneer that was on a palette with their own forklift. Core Concrete is a "CAN DO" company that is motivated to succeed and satisfy their customers! At least, they did so with me! They also have a 10% discount for military, which I greatly appreciate! I was so happy with their work, and I hope to refer my General Contractor (Richardson Construction) to sub out to Core Concrete for a new duplex that we're building in Cheyenne. Thanks Leif, Jason, and all the other fine employees, members and associates of Core Concrete!!!

Good project planners would have postponed, but Liftech took down a section of fence (creating a hazard for our dogs), parked a backhoe in our yard, and damaged our neighbors property in the process. Then it was too wet to work - so this mess sat there for weeks. Once work started, it must have been the practice session for the guy on the backhoe - they ended up damaging our seamless steel siding, requiring replacement of a large section of siding, which caused a delay in project completion. Replacing a basement window with an egress window should've been easy - but the crew tossed the removed window onto our rock landscaping, leaving another hazard for visitors with small children, us, and our dogs.. Despite our patience with them while their heavy equipment was parked on our yard, Liftech was unwilling to wait until our siding repairs were complete for final payment. We explained repeatedly that we were waiting for final invoicing from the siding contractor (by now we were not confident they would reimburse for excess expense for repairs) - but Liftech filed a lien against our house instead of having an adult conversation. Then last fall while doing yard cleanup, we realized that they had left a gap between the foundation wall and base plate of our home - full sized leaves were blowing into our basement. Their response: Not our responsibility - go to Home Depot and fix it yourself. Gee, it seems like after paying them this much money they could've restored the house to a safe, sealed condition. Save yourself some heartache and hire someone else.

We had work done on 2 contracts- 1 for work on pillars to stabilize house shifting and another for…read moresupposedly leveling up driveway to garage lip and front walkway to foundation line. Job 1 (foundation). Workers good guys and by appearances competent to do job, as was the materials used. They had to bring in backhoe for our 6 ft foundation (we live on hillside with springs where houses commonly shift)- I checked on work and it seemed sound. However, they ran day behind and we had to leave when they backfilled and finish that part of job. It had rained previous 2-3 nights and basically they left yard in a mess that will necessitate me bringing in a landscaper to repair (i.e. more than the topsoil disruption they put in contract- dirt clods the size of soccer balls 25 ft away from foundation wall). My recommendation- make absolutely sure you are present to see finished job before you let them leave- I would never have approved the mess they left the yard in. Not really their fault as they were moving mud vs dirt, but they should've left it and came back the next week to finish. Job 2 (driveway and front approach leveling). It turned out this was an unachievable outcome & there is still 2.5 inch "trip" edge between driveway and garage floor. They should never has bid the job. We contested the job as a breach of contract since goal of job not even close to achieved. Gen Mgr came out & agreed. On my threat to taking to small claims court, they refunded me most of cost of that job. Again, they were responsive to my concerns & outcome OK in the end as avoided court hassle. Lesson here: think about what they are proposing is even possible before agreeing to it. The suggestion is that the job solicitors are working on a commission. If you doubt it can be done, it probably can't- have them describe EXACTLY how they will achieve the proposed outcome. Again, no problem whatsoever with the employees- all did their jobs well.

Took a hit to my credit report getting set up with Greensky. Had job set up to be done on Wednesday 5-27 and even took the day off. No show no call from Groundwork's. Called and got passed around to different people and never got an answer as to why they didn't show up. So I thought I maybe made a mistake and was told the job was scheduled for today 6-1. Once again I got everything ready and no show again. So I called Scott and Groundwork's office number and spoke to multiple people. Got passed around a lot . Scott told me the guy that was supposed to do my job called in sick but another lady told me I was the one that cancelled today's job. I never cancelled anything! So which is it... guy is sick or it was cancelled. Needless to say... now I have money that needs to be refunded to me. I also have an open credit account that is now useless. Took a hit to my credit with opening the credit account and now my cement is not getting fixed. Now I have to start the process all over again. Will not be recommending this company to anyone

This is an old brick house and the footings are several widths of brick laid directly on the soil, not concrete. The reinforcement is to pour some concrete walls under the footings to support them and to stabilize the soil walls of the tunnels. They also poured concrete to stabilize another area where soil had been eroding under the footing. We also had them remove an unused brick planter next to the wall. The estimator, Lance Heimes, did a very thorough study of the area and then carefully described to us the recommended work. Because of his attention to detail and good explanations I had a lot of confidence in his recommendations. The work went smoothly and looks good upon completion. The weak point with this company was communication. I had to call them up to find out when the work was scheduled, and even then we were never sure when the workers would show up. They also sent me the final invoice for the work when the work was only about half-done, rather than upon "substantial completion" as provided in the contract. They did finish the work a day or two later, so it worked out OK, although for a while I was worried that they had forgotten to finish the work.
