Great mountain offering bunny slope area and green runs for beginner skiers or snowboarders…read more Also one of the few that offer night skiing. There's a small cafe that serves drinks and food.

I visited Echo Mountain as a first-time snowboarder and paid for rentals, lift access, and a…read morehelmet. I was directed to the beginner area with the understanding that staff would be hands-on and supportive with new riders. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The staff lacked warmth and did not provide the level of hands-on guidance that beginners need. When I asked for help, the assistance felt hesitant and dismissive rather than instructional. I was sent down the beginner slope without being taught how to stop, slow down, or fall safely. As a result, I gained speed quickly, fell backward, and hit my head on the ice (despite wearing a helmet). I was visibly distressed and remained on the slope for some time without staff checking on me or intervening, which was concerning given that other beginners were actively using the area. Due to the lack of instruction, attentiveness, and overall care, I did not feel safe continuing and was unable to use the snowboarding portion of my visit. I reported the issue on-site and later contacted guest services to share my concerns. I hope management takes beginner safety, staff engagement, and hands-on instruction more seriously moving forward, as this experience did not feel supportive or safe for someone new to the sport.

I just want to learn enough to keep up with certain family members without risk of serious injury on the mountain, so I'm motivated but still scared, and the team made me feel at ease. It seems like they thought of everything at the facility; there are clean bathroom/locker rooms, cubbies for all your things, gear, and even a little bar area with coffee, snacks, and beer/wine for after a lesson or while watching your kiddos learn. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to the indoor lessons that *hopefully* will help me keep up with the fam on mountain. Oh, and my husband felt like the facility will really help him improve his on-mountain technique despite already being a great skier. So, great for everyone between newbie to experience skier. See you there.

The employees were very helpful in teaching us how to do various tricks. My boyfriend went from never stepping foot on a trampoline to almost doing a backflip within a few hours. Got there Sunday morning, it didn't start getting crowded until the early afternoon. Very nicely kept establishment and easy parking. Fair admission price for a fun day activity.

First-time Ikon pass user here whose trying to snowboard more often instead of once year. We…read morevisited this resort because it was a short drive not too far into the mountains. The were multiple staff members directly traffic upon entry and helping folks find parking. We arrived despite a severe weather warning and it was windy with white-out conditions among the trails. As a result of the weather, the beginner trails were shut down. The only trails available were Intermediate and Black Diamond. As a beginner-intermediate snowboarder I was a bit nervous. We decided to take a run. Lines moved quickly and the lift was speedy as well. They had maps clearly posted and large signs reading "easiest way down" to mark the path in the low visibility. The staff was frequently running through the trails to check on folks and make sure they were doing ok. I myself began to struggle and feel fatigued when a staff member by the name of Kathy stopped me. She helped me rest and make it down to the base with encouraging words. She helped me find my husband on the trail after we got separated in the white-out and stuck with us to make sure we were alright. By the end, my legs were fried by the challenge but with her help I made it to the bottom. I'll be visiting again when I'm more in shape and surefooted. Kathy's help was so appreciated. The facilities were clean and well stocked, but the big pull for me was the clearly marked information and wonderful staff. I even saw some folks get stuck in the snow and the staff was helping them fit their tires either snow chains. Above and beyond, they are amazing. See you soon, Eldora.

It's definitely lost its charm. I don't think I'll ever bother ever trying on a weekend again. It's a shame but it just doesn't seem capable of handling the crowds it gets. Even if 70 is rough you'll get more skiing elsewhere despite the extra traffic time Come on a random weekday and the lines are fine, but expect some east coast style ice because of how hammered it all gets every weekend. At least it doesn't have the crummy bougie-ness of other places
