AVOID Rocky Mountain Urgent Care at ALL COSTS - especially for PCR testing. They require a televisit before the PCR test which is essentially their way of making $ off the testing procedure - a measure that provided zero value to the patient. I was charged $60 for a 3 minute conversation where I literally said, "I don't feel well. I'd like to get a PCR test to confirm that I don't have COVID." I also just got a notice that their lab (Genesis Reference Labs) pinged my insurance for $300 for the PCR lab work - of which insurance covered $50. All in all, a single PCR test from Rocky Mountain Urgent Care cost me $310. Rocky Mountain's procedure is essentially predatory and is designed to pilfer as much money from patients as possible. For my subsequent PCR follow up tests, I used a Mako Medical drive-up testing center (they run several in the area.) The tests are administered, no questions asked. In addition, the results were returned considerably faster than Rocky Mountain Urgent Care's test results were returned and the PCR tests are administered for free. read more

If you have serious mental health issues and need help, avoid this place at all costs. I came here for routine appointments and spoke to the medical assistant Vanessa about getting the doctor to refill some prescriptions as I'm new in town and don't have a doctor. She said she would be able to help, got some info from me and let me know she would reach out to me after faxing my prior doctor to gain access to my medication records, she said she just needed a week for my out of state doctor to respond to their fax. I told her I only had 2 weeks worth of medication and verified that this would all work out, which she confirmed all would be okay, if not to go to urgent care if I hadn't heard from anyone. I waited a week hoping someone would reach out to schedule and she never called me to schedule. so I called mid day on a Thursday and realized Vanessa's voicemail mentioned her schedule is Monday-Thursday. So I waited until the next Monday to try calling again and still didn't get a call back. This being my antidepressants I grew very concerned that I would no longer receive the help that they had promised me. That Tuesday I went in to the office bawling, hoping I could get an urgent care appointment for my meds because I was officially out and seriously freaking out about what that could mean. They had no fricken doctors that could see me, in other words no one in power to prescribe a anti depressant. Nothing about my medication is controlled or even possible to be abused and they still couldn't help me. What's the point of seeing a PA who can't prescribe meds unless I'm paying for a doctors appt? Even my housemate who is a nurse saw a telemedicine PA for her antidepressants and they had no problem prescribing her the ongoing meds she takes without needing all of this proof funny business. Well I didn't have any choice but to schedule with the next available appt, this Thursday June 17 at 8am with Jeromy. This is a week and two days after my desperate urgent care attempt but I had no choice but to take this as the soonest available appt. Ran over this morning, June 17, only for them to no longer have proof of my appointment and they can't find it in the system. I can't even imagine how totally you have to screw up to straight up not book the emergency med appointment that I couldn't get when I urgently needed it. Vanessa was nice during each interaction but I would have appreciated her clarification in regards to how the urgent care works and what I needed to do if I didn't hear back from her. This morning when they could no longer find my appointment, the receptionist offered a different time with another doctor but at that point I had had it and already had plans to not ever come back. Im not a perfect person and should have been on top of my medication refill, but when a doctor promises they'll take care of things, they should. And if they don't and their patient comes in as I did to the urgent care in utter hysterics due to the fear of being out of medication and having a mental breakdown, they should have someone on site who can actually help me and not a bunch of physician assistants with little to no power in medication prescriptions. This center is unorganized and not worth the trouble it's caused me so far. Never going here again! Got there at 9 am, wasn't seen until 10:30. Had been horribly sick with a sinus infection for almost 2 weeks. They said sorry it hasn't been enough days since you have been sick, just use some nose spray. Waited TWO HOURS to be told that - you could imagine how irritated one might be. (Also I am not a crazy medicine person - I like to let things run their course but clearly this wasn't viral). I visited here with my girlfriend in February because she was extremely under the weather and I had a cough, and wanted to make sure she didn't have the flu. We ended up being the last folks for the night after a 30 minute wait, which was fine. The moonlighting EMT and doctor we saw were both great. The issue I have with this office is their billing. Reviewing the bills we received a month later, I saw I was charged for flu tests which were never given to me, only my partner. I called their billing to clear it up and was told they had the records and the log, which was insane to me. It bothers me because when I walked out, they hadn't given any paperwork to me of what was done during the visit (which in retrospect was my mistake). This makes this company extremely dishonest to me and I don't intend on being back. If you visit, be careful to have a receipt of the visit and every single thing that was done and what they plan to bill. Don't be caught unaware as I was! read more

My boyfriend and I both came here in early February. We voluntarily shared the same exam room. They gave me a flu test (where they stick the q-tip up your nose). They did not give my boyfriend one but are trying to charge him for both Influenza A and B test. Someone in billing called to say that the staff confirms that they did it. Well how would they remember? They've seen so many patients since then. They charted incorrectly and charged incorrectly as a result. We don't care about the money but the principle of being charged for something that wasn't done. read more

With all of the Doctors Offices that I have been to over the years, it surprises me to say that the most helpful facility I have ever worked with is an urgent care facility! And that is the Rocky Mountain Urgent Care center at 92nd and Harlan in Westminster, CO. I had an "urgent" need for a COVID-19 test and needed results quickly. With the mounting delays at laboratories due to demand, it seemed an impossible task. The staff at Rocky Mountain urgent Care somehow fit my needs in among the other testing and urgent care that are challenging the health care system. They were kind, listened, made commitments and kept them. Though I wasn't a medical patient, I can only image the quality of care I would have received if I were! Do not go here for a family doctor! I only went to this practice for 9 months. Each time, there was a different doctor. Everytime, I went in, they had lost my records and everything needed to be redone (this occurred 4 times). I was told I needed to come in every 3 months (with a $40 copay) for a maintenance medication I was on. When I asked for the dr to give me a call, the manager told me "That isn't going to happen". Although they do bloodwork onsite, you have to come back in for that. I also needed a vaccination which was yet another visit. I never received the results of my bloodwork and when I called to inquire, I was told one test was "off" and I needed to come back in. I tried making an appointment with the same dr I had seen before and was told that person was no longer there on 3 separate occasions. No one could tell me where the drs had went or why turnover was so high. read more

I'll start with the good: I saw a nurse practitioner named Jeff Ritchie who was kind, compassionate, and thorough. He understood that I was in severe pain, apologized for the wait, and discussed my medication options while considering my medical history and other medications. I was very pleased with him. Betty the MA was also pleasant and competent. The big problem was the wait. I showed up at 9:15 am and was the only person in the waiting room. I didn't see the NP until about 10:00. With a busy waiting room, that would have made sense. But when I got back to the exam room, the NP himself said he didn't understand why the wait was so long! The people here are good, the wait is not; while a long wait is a problem, it's a better problem to have than poor care. I'll go back here if I need urgent care again. read more

Cheaper than an ER visit, maybe not as personal as a primary care doctor or a specialist, but it gets the job done. The space is clean and inviting and the employees run everything pretty efficiently. My only complaint was having to wait in the exam room for nearly 30 minutes with my pants off. Now, not everyone would have to wait with their pants off, but due to the unfortunate location of my spider/insect bite, this was my situation. I'd have appreciated that final wait to be just a little bit shorter :) Open 365 days a year ... takes most insurance and those that are uninsured as well. read more

Don't even bother... They saw my kid a week ago and even though she had symptoms consistent with pertussis (whooping cough, which looks different in older kids and adults do we had no clue), they DID NOT screen her! They diagnosed bronchitis and sent her home with codeine. Well, they blew it. I had enough sense to take her to Children's Hospital this week and it is pertussis. Rocky Mountain Urgent Care failed to screen her (even though there is an outbreak of pertussis right now, duh), and my kid spread this to who knows who! Now my kid has full blown pertussis, she is miserable (if they'd have screened her, she could have been treated before it got so bad) and her whole school has been exposed. Erg. Don't go. If you have a kid, go to the Children's urgent care by Lutheran Hospital. They are actually competent and worth the extra drive time. read more

The doctor that works here does not truly care about the patients. I tried to give this place a second chance, and once again, I have had the exact same experience and I don't want anyone else to have to go through it. I had to come to this Urgent Care because it was Memorial Day and I was going on a flight the following day. The doctor was very short with me, and barely listened to my symptoms before she cut me off and told me she was treating me for a sinus infection. I asked her if it was possible that it was pneumonia because my nurse friend told me she thought that was possible, and the doctor seemed offended I asked, and said "no, I would hear that when I listened to your breathing," even though I told her I have been coughing & wheezing for 3 weeks now. I got the prescriptions and went on my trip, and it was an awful time because I still was coughing and having breathing issues. As soon as I got back, I went to see my regular doctor. He ordered a chest x-ray, and sure enough, I have pneumonia. He told me to stop taking the antibiotics the Urgent Care doctor prescribed, and said she never should have diagnosed & treated me for a sinus infection. So $180 spent at the Urgent Care ($130 for the visit & $50 for medication), took antibiotics I shouldn't have, and continued being sick for another week. And the worst part is this doctor acted like she was annoyed I was even there. read more

These are bad people. We brought my son there because a cut that had become infected. They prescribed liquid antibiotics. We filled the scrip and when I was trying to give him his first dose, I accidentally tipped the bottle over and spilled all the medicine. I called them and asked them to phone in a refill or write a new scrip, but they wouldn't do it unless we had him seen again (12 hours later - same doc) for another $323. This had nothing to do with legality or my son's health. They are simply opportunists. They saw they had a chance to rape us out of another $323 and they couldn't pass it up. read more

The medical staff and doctor were very kind, helpful and professional. But watch their billing practices. I went there to have stitches removed that were done a month ago in a different state. I was told because they did not put them in, that my insurance company would not pay for them to remove them. Even though I provided them a valid insurance card, a national plan with BCBS. That I had to pay the full bill. I wanted the stitches out, so I paid the bill. A week later I get a letter from BCBS explaining my benefits saying what they covered and what my portion of the bill was. I called them and they emphatically said that they NEVER filled a claim, but they did. They said that they were going to refund me the difference in 5-7 days. So stick to your guns about your deductibles when you go there. Call your insurance company while there if needed. Their billing practices are questionable. read more

This place is horrible! I had been a patient at the attached Drs office for 4 years and when I went in a few months ago for upper abdominal pain, the Dr at Urgent Care ran an EKG on me. I understand that this is a sign of heart attacks in women but when my EKG came out abnormal they threw oxygen on me, made me take nitroglycerin and called an ambulance because she said I could be having a heart attack. I tried explaining to her that I always have an abnormal EKG and it is on record AT THAT OFFICE because they took one before my surgery 4 years ago and this one was the exact same. She wouldn't listen and sent me off to the ER in an ambulance, costing me almost 3k in hospital bills for something that even the Dr at Good Samaritan said was completely unnecessary. These guys are lucky I don't call a lawyer for the unnecessary stress and money they cost me. Never again and I have told everyone I know not to go here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! They could careless about you. My daughter went in on a Friday earache congestion coughing SORE THROAT!!! Treated her horrible she left without an antibiotic. They never looked in ears throat or listen to chest or even took her temperature! Summary said she had an upper respiratory infection ( no antibiotic prescribed). She came home and was still miserable and The Weeknd was here! I called Urgent care myself asked why Erin (the doctor) didn't look in ears?! She told me my daughter said her ears weren't hurting( lie). My husband had went with her. She said I could bring her back up to office and she would look in her ears. So took her back my daughter was clearly running a temperature and they not once take her temp. Erin looked in ears and said they had some fluid BUT NO ANTIBIOTIC WARRANTED!! This is when I found out she was an assistant who clearly couldn't prescribe anything!! Erin the assistant is a clear JOKE! So almost a week later my daughter is clearly still sick ears are hurting and we call to let them know and want to know results of the Strep test they took!!!! POSITIVE!!! She has had Strep since last week.... Exposing everyone!!! Because Erin REFUSED REFUSED TO PRESCRIBE AN ANTIBIOTIC!!!! You would have thought she was asking for Fentylenol or some kind of narcotic!!! This is so screwed up on so many levels!!! I am pissed! I have Strep now and My Doc called me in an antibiotic before her!!! NEVER TAKE ANYONE TO THIS PLACE!!!! Disgusted!!! Terrible doctors terrible dr assistant. I was misdiagnosed by Dr Bradshaw told to pay for a MRI for my back said I have a tumor pinching a nerve, the issue turned out to be planters in my foot. (Got that fixed by specialist) Still paying for that MRI bill a year later. Then assistant Jeromy is very rude, won't do a blood work up for me as I previously had cancer and have no idea how I am doing, refused to even with a visible lump in my stomach where my old cancer was. Won't work with an imaging company for me either. Yelled at me for not making an appointment for blood work when I specifically made an apt just for that reason when the person answering the phones asked me what I was making an appointment for. I asked for meds for my stomach acid as it's coming up in my throat and burning he said there's no proof I have stomach acid. This after he prescribed me an Nsid 2 visits ago for my foot and I told him not to give me anything that will bother my ulcer. My pharmacist said that Nsid causes stomach acid after I asked her for something to stop my heart burn. After all his fussing and not helping me he went out of the room twice and both times loudly told the girls that work there that he won't help me, to come in and tell me I can look around for places for imaging on my stomach myself. I really feel like they have a target posted on my back so to speak it's like when they see me they automatically treat me like I am making things up. When they are rude, misdiagnose me and other doctors can clearly help and treat me. My foot needed surgery, I got that. But this office makes me pay for an MRI for my back and say it's a tumor, really??? These doctors truly don't care about people. And or aren't knowledgeable . I thought it was a fluke with the first doctor but I came back and tried another. Mistake! Also I always wait 1-2 hours past my appointment time to be seen. Every time. And I come early. I have had 3 bad experience with this place. On 2 occasions I have gone on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. when they are scheduled to open but they can't open due to no provider. The first time I was let inside and told I could wait but the provider may not be there for hours and today the doors were locked and an employee came out and told us they would not let us in until the provider got there. We were not told when the provider would be there. My other experience was on a Sunday evening when my son ripped his knee open and we rushed him over there at 4:45 the door said they closed at 5 but they were locked already and the lady inside shook her head at us and gestured they were closed, it was obvious my son was bleeding pretty bad. I would say for an urgent care center this place is not reliable at all!! read more

Avoid! I booked an appointment at Rocky Mtn. Urgent Care since I my family Dr. was booked solid for. I saw a Nurse a NP which is not listed on the home page for this site, she was much older and stated retired? This NP never listened to what I was saying, all she would say was this is not the place for you! My symptoms was the feeling I couldn't breathe and I felt like I had fluid in my chest from a cold. I was also scared and tired from not sleeping well. A chest e-ray was clean IF she knew how to read it so the NP said that I needed counseling which I found rude and unprofessional. I left in tears since I'm sure the bill that is coming will be quite huge. I ended up seeking alternate care and was given something to loosen what was in my chest, eventually all came up and I am so much better now. That was all I needed! Why have an Urgent Care if you get results like this? The NP also poked my chest with her finger saying not retaining fluid and that I needed calcium what why? The bedside manner of the doctor who saw me was lacking and I was treated quite poorly. Not all of my questions were answered and I was rushed out the door with a prescription of antibiotics and a bill. About an hour later, I was rushed to an emergency room for sepsis in my kidney, which can be fatal. I understand that this goes beyond what RMUC is able to treat, but their quick and dismissive diagnosis could have cost me dearly. I think it best to avoid Rocky Mountain Urgent Care altogether, their substandard practices are overpriced, even at a discount. read more

I am a very anxious person in general and was very scared to come in but Rebecca and Mike McCleery (my PA) helped so very much and I am no longer anxious about needing to come in for my appointments. I have been to this urgent care twice and besides the longer than average wait times i felt that both of the providers that I saw were not competent. They did not order the normal tests for what was going on with me and wrote everything off as viral. After going to another provider a day later, I was prescribed antibiotics for an obvious ear and throat infection and feel much better. read more

I don't even know where to begin. As a previous resident of the state of CO, I understand altitude sickness and how to avoid it. I had less than 3 days so had to go quicker than I would have liked and ended up getting very extreme altitude sickness. Upon getting out of the mountains, I call this urgent care to see if they took my insurance. It was a Sunday, so customer service was closed and I couldn't check for myself if they covered this urgent care. The lady said she couldn't check my insurance unless I came in, even though I told her it was a Medicaid out of state plan. After arriving and waiting a very long time (only person in the lobby), she found out that they didn't accept my insurance. That's fine, I felt like death and needed help to get on my flight just a few hours away without puking on the other people in line. After sitting in the patient room for an hour, (and listening to the actual doctor talk about his personal life just outside the door) he finally comes in and tells me to drink electrolytes. No kidding. Then gives me an anti-nausea pill and some aspirin. After letting them know I still felt awful, I was discharged, which was a big "whatever" from me as the entire visit took 2 hours and I had a flight to catch. They never offered me water while I was there, IV's to rehydrate, none of the testing the front office lady told me was included in the 150$ I paid them since my insurance wasn't accepted. Well I'm home now, still sick and out $150 and completely livid about the entire situation. My friend who lives next door who sent me to this place has been warned. The biggest waste of time and money ever spent, which sucks terribly since my entire snowboarding trip got ruined because of how sick I got.
