Great selection, great prices. Rocky is always helpful and knowledgeable and offers great tips. This is the second year we've gotten a tree here. This year's tree is so beautiful and full (as was last year's). Also, Rocky is offering fresh wreaths as well this year!!

My daughter and I literally had no idea what we were doing and I went on Google and looked up some reviews. I had gone to a different Christmas tree stand just down the street and after walking around for a couple of minutes trying to figure out how that all worked. We ended up getting back in the car and going to Dave's because no one there really seemed like they wanted to help us . As soon as we got out of the car, we were with warmth and kindness . I appreciate that he didn't see my ignorance as an avenue to take advantage of me he gave me all the different price options and explained things nicely . Very eager and secured the tree to the top of my car and everything . What a great experience, I almost wish that we needed another one just to go back again. Aside from the trees there being absolutely beautiful and Dave being well priced and knowledgeable... He was kind and doesn't the world need a lot more of that? During the Christmas season takes it is so important that we remember. The small kindness is due more than we can even realize thank you, Dave... My daughter named the tree after you.

I feel ripped off. At night the tree looked fine. In the day it was brown and looked dead. When I…read morebought it they promised that my receipt would entitle me to my money back if there was a problem. Nope. The only option was to pick another tree. Apparently the owner, David, has to approve all refunds. When I got him on the phone, he lectured me about all the ways that I could be the one ripping him off, I walked off with my tree. I ended up giving it to someone in need. We almost didn't buy the tree. We shouldn't have. We will never go back.

That being said, I googled places in Philadelphia that sold trees and came upon The Christmas Tree Stand as an option. It was 1 of 3 options listed without having to drive around searching or driving too far. The space where they are on Front street is a small space compared to other tree selling places I've been to in the past. However, they had a nice selection. My only concern was that their prices were considerably high compared to what I am used to. I have never paid $150 plus tax for an 8' tree. And I have been buying them for years to compliment our tall ceilings. I asked about delivery and that was an addl $199. Wow! So I took my tree with me. As I was too lazy to drive to another part of town 30 minutes away to see if they had just as good or better trees for a lesser price, I went ahead and purchased a tree. She is really beautiful, but overly priced for what I am used to from other places that are just as good. There was only one person working and he was really kind and helpful. So, they do have good customer service. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning there next year unless I can't find what I want elsewhere.

They are really careful about cleaning up any messes and unwrap the tree and put water in the stand, too. The cost might be a little higher than going to Acme and getting a tree, but the value of the time saved makes it more than worthwhile. Hit the "easy button" this year and order a tree from TCTS!

Set around Philadelphia city hall and one of the city's traditional holiday events it is worth a…read morevisit. Nestled side by side with the 'Christmas Village' market the Made in Philly has many small stalls selling candles, clothes, ornaments, food drink both hard and soft, and is a great place to shop for the season. While the 'the Christmas Village is more international and mass produced. Made in Philly is, as the name implies more local business and more artesian. If you're looking for that holiday something that screams local pride, this is it! Besides being smaller than the Christmas village the Made in Philly market is a little more relaxed. There are more areas to sit down and let your mind wander and abutting the Rothman ice rink you're not just limited to shopping and dining. I would recommend going during the day and going early in the season as the site gets busier in the evenings as commutes stop off and on the weekends. You may also find stocks not dwindling as the season rolls on as these are produced locally. Afterall it's easier to get a shipment in from Fishtown than something going to the Christmas Village from Dresden or Stockholm! Also they do not seem to have the problems with a uniform form of payment that is a both in the Christmas village. The one real downside here is the limited selection. While smaller than the Xmas Village there is also a sameness to some of the stalls, there's only so much you can do with scented candles.

Overall a fun holiday market with the standard things you'd expect (candles, bath/lotion items,…read morejewelery). A little bit crowded when I went the Friday before xmas. A good number of visitors not masking. I highly recommend using the portapotties outside rather than the bathrooms inside, as the portapotties were surprisingly very clean and had no line, while the indoor bathroom had a long line of 50% unmasked individuals and some stalls had no toilet paper. Loud music may make this less than ideal for people with babies.

A kind team associate directed me to the center just before groceries for shampoo, lotion, etc. I then needed some paper goods where "Charles" was so kind and helpful while stocking items. The store set up has changed in the back but a team member was always within sight for assistance. Many things are of great value. But 4 dish towels for $10 and $20 batteries were not in the budget. Oh, you may want to take your cart for a spin before loading items because my cart grew a personality of its own. I was moving my cart like the Red Bull Sales Rep. Turning the corner like a wide load because the wheels did not have coffee. "I was struggling with the cart along with 3 other customers I encountered. Ms Annette at checkout is a gem as always! That being said, I've come in here a few times now, to find some board games and puzzles, another time to find some towels, and another time for some gift exchange gifts, and haven't had too much issue getting in and out with what I need. I go through self-checkout and don't really engage with staff to find what I need-- tends to be self-explanatory when you follow the signs around and they have the kiosks where you can search in-store now too. For immediate purchases, probably the best place at the best price point to look for things in the city. But if you have some time and the means, best to head to NJ for somewhere that's more pleasant to shop at.
