I feel so horrible leaving this review but I think it'll be useful. I went in with Yvi two times & had a rough experience. She goes really fast (which I liked at first) but then after it almost seemed rushed. When she goes to the bottom side, she doesn't add any powder and it burns so bad because she goes over & over really fast. The first time I went, she bruised me because of how fast she was going. I was NEVER prone to ingrown hairs and even do all the necessary things to prevent them (exfoliating, oils, which hazel etc) & I've always been good. Ever since I started going to Yvi, I got SOO MANY INGROWN HAIRS which eventually led to scars. Unfortunately my sister also went to Yvi and stopped going to her for the same thing. I though i'd give her a try since I never got ingrowns but it was a big mistake. Yvi is great as a person but as an esthetician, her technique is awful and the job she does is not good. She always leaves me stubbly and can never get all of my hair. There's always long hairs that my last girl would always take the time to pluck but not Yvi. When she's done, she literally slaps on cream and then just leaves. It's really bad service & horrible outcome of her work. I love this location. I have been coming for over a year now and I have always been prone to ingrown hairs and my hair is very course and thick, & it even grows down my thighs. After getting sugared that is not the case. I had never been sugared in the past and after coming here I am never going back to waxing! The owner is amazing and super accommodating, always makes sure I like the "finished product", and makes it as enjoyable as she can. She makes me feel confident when I used to be self-conscious of my lady parts. I love our conversations and the service always goes by quickly and enjoyable. I have been searching non-stop for a proper sugaring place to go too. After trying several I landed here at Rococo, now I have to say I am in love. My sugaring artist, who's name I will withhold because I want her solely for myself (mentioned by a bunch of others) but she was incredibly. Even though I had-had sugaring services done before she still took the time to ask if I had questions and answered any I thought of with ease. Very knowledgeable about the process and made me feel so comfortable. She changed her gloves between each area and when getting new sugar from the pot. The conversation was light and easy, distracted me from all the pain that awaited, but to my surprise it wasn't as bad as I've had it before. In general sugaring is less painful then waxing, but she was gentle in her form all while still being thorough in getting every last hair out. Which she did, I had was less breakage of hairs then ever before. I couldn't be happier. In fact I already booked my follow up appointment while leaving/paying that day. Later to find out she told the lady at the desk. Do better or I will not be returning. Did not finish the service either, due to skin condition. And if that is policy to stop . So i went in today and this was my first ever Brazilian. I did the virgin Brazilian with upper thigh. Let me tell you, ow. However, even though it hurt, it wasn't as bad as I thought, especially in the bum region. In fact, the bum region didn't even hurt. Once you get past the first half of the sugaring, the rest is so much better. Blanca was just so great at making me feel comfortable, she made the whole experience much better.
