I first began working with ROCS back in December/late November of last year when I interviewed for a position at a non-profit in the DC metro area. That organization just regained a government contract and was looking to hire a lot of new staff to manage the new work load. I remember thinking how impressive it was that this national organization utilized ROCS, a relatively small staffing agency, for (to my understanding) almost all of their hiring. But I think what is most impressive about ROCS is their dedication to fostering relationships; both with the companies they work with and the individuals they help find employment. Specifically, I can recall several occasions when Kathleen Pellegrino (a ROCS employee, and the person who helped me get hired) reach out to me to check on how I was settling in and I also recall seeing her around our office from time to time checking with various managers to see how the new hires were doing. To my knowledge, the company I work for has a great relationship with ROCS and consistently relies on them for their hiring needs. A few months ago I had the pleasure of going through the ROCS recruitment process. I was looking for a new job that would allow me to blend my marketing skills with my passion for healthcare. Not only did ROCS match me with a great opportunity, they were extremely prompt, professional and kind throughout the entire process. My recruiter was Anna. Anna did an amazing job of setting my expectations and preparing me for the phone and in-person interviews. This relieved some anxiety about the interviewing process while ensuring that I was preparing correctly. She is highly professional and friendly, which set a positive tone for the entire process. Once I was offered the job, Anna called to congratulate me. This only added to the excitement I felt as this was my dream job. 5 stars for website and types of jobs "posted" available. Now the real stuff everyone cares about. This company SUCKS. They don't respond to emails. The staff is complete idiots. I am in shock as to how this company makes $10 million per year. Applying for a job DOES NOT take a week to process in any order according to other reviewer. It took them 3 weeks to acknowledge I even sent them an application. Took another week to interview and another two weeks for company interview. And you get the picture. Owners are teenagers dressed like professionals but act like teenagers. In summary DO NOT APPLY here. They will waste your time. Offer you a less paying job. Btw 70% of postings DO NOT EXIST. They say it's been filled or removed. Right. Moreover, they do not even post the company that is hiring until the very last minute. I found that to be weird. The salary you expect to receive is NOT completely yours. They receive 20% of your salary for little to no work they actually conducted besides a background check provided through 3rd party. I was fortunate enough to have worked at ROCS for nearly a year. Ultimately, we parted ways mutually as my long term career goals no longer aligned with the needs of ROCS, but I cannot sing the company's praises enough. Brandon and Tom (the co-founders) are both great mentors, and I learned so much during my time here. They do a great job finding diamonds in the rough when it comes to recruiting, and the team they have built at the company is full of great people striving as hard as possible to make the company succeed. Matt, Jessica, & Kathleen, the three most senior Account Managers at the company, are all extremely knowledgable and do a great job helping qualified candidates and companies find the right candidates when they can't on their own. They can't help everyone due to the nature of the business, but they do their best to consider every candidate they review. I know that in the future, if I ever found myself in need of 3rd party recruiting services, ROCS would, and will always be, my first choice. read more

ROCS rocks! Finding a job fresh out of college can be tough. For me everyone wanted to know why I no longer wanted to be a bartender, even though I had my degree in International Relations. ROCS understood though, and helped me get my foot in the door, so I could get relevant work experience. I worked with Jessica and she understood exactly what I was looking for in a job. They even gave me temp-jobs until I found a full time position through them. I believe Jessica was crucial in helping me find a job with an amazing company that recognizes what I bring to the table. My experience with the ROCS staffing agency has been a great one. As a recent college graduate with little work experience, I was having difficulty finding a job until I came across ROCS.
