That my lawn is so green and clear as we head into winter is a huge improvement over previous years. Jeff Sajovie Jr. grew up in the landscaping business and really knows how to get the best results. We hired 131 not only for grass cutting, but for weed control, mulching, aerating, reseeding and plant trimming. Jeff is a perfectionist. He never left our yard until everything was perfect. 131 is not the cheapest lawn service out there, but his pricing is fair. You get what you pay for. I had several verbal quotes on lawn installation. We decided that we only wanted half of the work done and gave the go ahead to do half the job. I came home and found an entire lawn installed. It wasn't what was agreed to. I feel that this was part of the plan--do all the work---then bill! Second problem: I had about ten 15 foot white pine trees installed. These are significant trees. Two of them died in the first six months. I contacted the landscaper and he refused to do anything. It is standard that large plants, trees, and bushes are warranted for one year. Not from this landscaper. I can't recommend using this business. Very bad experience. More work done than asked for. Lost more than $1000 on two trees that died.

They completely clear the driveway, and when there are parts they can't get to, I have seen the drivers get out and shovel snow. They get the driveway cleared early in the morning, and will plow several times during the day if the snow is really coming down. At the start of each season, a driver stopped by to see the driveway and make sure the stakes are in the right place. They come by at the end of each season to repair any lawn damage. The next day he responded that they would be out the next day. They then told us we would receive an estimate in a week. 9 days later we received it, after my husband called and requested it. Since then, we have been trying to contact them with questions about the estimate. Messages have been left, since no one ever answers the phone, until yesterday. His message "got lost in the shuffle". Still haven't had our questions answered. This a big job involving lots of money. I think we'll be looking elsewhere.
