The damaged tree is hanging by a thread, and it can kill someone if it falls. They came out and did an estimate on the wrong tree (the neighbor's tree that was already on the ground). Errors happen, as we are all human. I quickly called and emailed them, asking them to please correct their error. They claimed that I had said something about "a tree on the ground" in my initial discussion. This was not the case. They did not reply for an entire week, until finally sending me an email saying that the "schedule is full for the season" and they won't be able to do this work. So, they gave an estimate, but when they realized they made an error, they no longer wanted the job. Not a great look. I'm very frustrated, as I was hoping to establish a longterm business relationship with them for landscaping services. Bummer. Don't bother calling them.

When I inquired as to why they sent out an estimator and a contract but did not intend to complete the job, this was the response :" The decision was made after evaluating the project and determining that it was a bit small scale for our team." So unless you need a complete rehaul of your outdoor space, I would not waste your time, and apparently, theirs, by contacting this group. That my lawn is so green and clear as we head into winter is a huge improvement over previous years. Jeff Sajovie Jr. grew up in the landscaping business and really knows how to get the best results. We hired 131 not only for grass cutting, but for weed control, mulching, aerating, reseeding and plant trimming. Jeff is a perfectionist. He never left our yard until everything was perfect. 131 is not the cheapest lawn service out there, but his pricing is fair. You get what you pay for. As an example, after mulching, they manually separated and dusted the landscaping blocks around the beds. The shaping of all my boxwood shrubs was exceptional. Two weeks after our last visit from Maverick's Mowing (June 21), my husband was mowing the small side yard that butts up against our neighbors property when we discovered a 13 foot long stretch of damage down our siding. Based on the height of where the damage occurred and when the damage appeared on our house, according to our neighbors, it seemed that the damage was most likely caused by the person mowing our yard during our last service call. My husband contacted Maverick's mowing, providing a photo of the damage, informing the company of what we discovered. The company responded, stating that they did not believe they ran the mower along that side of the property. My husband sent the company the security camera footage, showing one of the Maveicks Mowing employees driving their riding mower up the side of the property where the damage occurred. The first time he sent the footage, it was via their contact phone number. The number replied that the footage did not come through clearly. So, my husband re-sent the footage via email on July 20 (the original email we sent on July 3 seems to not have been received). As of today, July 31, my husband has not received any communication from the company. Regarding the previous work done, my husband and I have no complaints. However, my husband and I are both disheartened by the lack of communication by the company. Prior to this, we were planning on re-hiring this company. However, I feel the way this incident was handled by the company shows we are not valued as previous or future customers. This company does good work, but I would not reccomend hiring them unless your entire propety is covered by security cameras.

Parks Tree came out on one of the hottest days, so far, and performed some much needed maintenance for our very large garden. We have trees, shrubs, native pollinator perennials and more. The three young men went above and beyond my expectations and the committee for our garden is pleased.
