Used to like shopping here, but today the sales girl was rude when I asked for assistance and then asked me if I had a mask I could put on. We have shopped here many times with out a mask and have seen many other customers without masks. Sad considering we try to shop local but I guess we will shop elsewhere or online where people's mask fears don't infringe on our rights. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I LOVE the inventory, but the people are extremely rude. I was in the process of refinishing an antique desk, and went in the store to get hardware. I walked all over the store, just looking around and even complimented them on certain pieces. I was still wearing my old paint covered shirt and pants, so maybe I didn't "look" like their typical customer, but I was treated terribly. I was even followed around. And boy were they shocked I was part of their mailing/texting list. I went to put in my phone number and she said that's for our loyalty members only. I said I know. I have literally spent well over $1000.00 in that store! She rolled her eyes, and I paid and left. Nobody wants being around people who are better than you. This store has the best decor on the Westside. Their inventory is always getting the greatest and newest styles! You can stop in one day and come back a few days later and they always have new stuff! The ladies working there are always so helpful. They even helped me carry out a heavy item to my car across the street. If you need any vintage farmhouse decor this is the place to go! Also become apart of their text club for great deals, it's the best surprise text. If I could afford it my house would be decorated with everything in this store. read more

I love this place. I often drive here all the way from scottsdale bc it has such unique and ever changing inventory. The sales people are always super nice. Rod Works is an excellent little shop to stop into for great home decor finds and/or gifts. All of the displays are put together nicely to really inspire you and get your creative juices flowing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit on the higher side but they do have a "rewards" type program where you earn 5.00 for every 50+ you spend (not sure on the specific dollar amounts). All in all its a great place to stop if you need some inspiration and great decor pieces. read more

Would not recommend this business. Very rude clerks and bad customer service. Tried to exchange a shelf that we received as a gift for a different color. We did not want a refund, just a different color. Both clerks insisted that we had to pay an additional $20 because we didn't have the receipt. Will never buy anything at this store again. I have to say that I don't have a problem with a business being closed on Sunday. It's not always about $. Hobby Lobby and Chi-fil-a are also closed on Sundays. It's convenient being open on a Sunday but I don't hold it against anyone and I don't believe it deserves one star because of it. read more

I've never had a bad experience here. I've been coming to this store frequently for over a year now. Their inventory is always updated and the staff has always been kind. I came in to get a specific colored item knowing it was at their Gilbert location. Long story short, they had a difficult time getting through to the other store to verify that it was in stock. The staff was very apologetic and said they would call me as soon as they heard back from the other store. They kept in touch and I'm thrilled with my product. Management is VERY unprofessional. This use to one of my favorite places to shop until today. I love their inventory, although (a lot of items are sold at Hobby Lobby for half the price) I purchased lanterns from there a week ago at where on sale for 129.00 each. I live about five minutes away from the store when I got them home I realized that the size was a factor. I brought them back to the store which were returned... although the manager said sale items are final sale. ( I as a store owner I tell my customers at the time of the purchase that the sale will be final) I definitely appreciated her returning the lanterns for a smaller size that was not in the store she said she would have them brought over from the Gilbert store(but not without paying for them first). I asked what the size of the smaller lanterns are she showed me the in comparison to my original lantern... which I was happy with. when the lanterns came in they were definitely way smaller than what she told me it was going to be and then told me she was unable to return those lanterns. I just think instead of her guessing the size she should've called the other store and got proper measurements and showed me exactly what the measurements were and not her guesstimate. so when I told her those are smaller than what she said, she said "well that's what w my memory recalls." I should've been forced to take something that is useless to me! So I told her I would be using the store credit that I had left over from the larger laterns that I returned , and I would not be returning to the store... she proceeded to go over to the other associate working whispering the whole time to her about me while they both looked at me was very uncomfortable and very unprofessional. and not to mention all the lies that she told as well. read more
